Can you take a power saw to glass without shattering it?

from what I've experienced, I don't think you can.
What you have to do is score it: take a razor and scratch a deep enough line in the glass. From there just hold it by the lip of the bottle and gently tap above the score line...actually tapping the neck gently is probably better. And keep a garbage can under the bottle so the bottom doesn't shatter. emotion_kirakira
