[FIN] Not Happening

The warm weather had been reason enough for Seraphine to head to the park to spend the afternoon rather than stay cooped up in that tiny, dingy little apartment she'd been forced to call home for too long. Thus the brunette sat on one of the benches in the park, her pokemon out and scattered around the general area; Luna was grazing off to one side, Tact hung from the back of the bench, Isabella lay in the grass near Sera's feet, Mordecai hovered idly next to the bench, and Jacques was fast asleep somewhere behind the bench, while her two ghosts remained out of sight.

The girl had a fashion magazine open in her lap, and though she turned the pages now and then, she didn't actually seem to be too engaged in actually reading it. Her thoughts roamed elsewhere.

The slow clopping of hooves could be heard down the walkway as a man in uniform lead a blue flamed Rapidash into the park. The horse Pokemon equipped with a bridle and saddle that matched the uniform that the blond wore.

Flynn then strode off the path, leading his Pokemon to a patch of grass to allow the Rapidash to graze. Uniceros lowered his head and snuffled at the grass before snipping a few blades with his teeth. Lifting his head again he chewed on them idly before he caught sight of another Rapidash nearby... who was possibly the most beautiful creature he'd ever seen.

Uniceros flicked an ear and stared for a moment before nickering in a greeting to Luna.

Sera lifted her head at the sound of another Rapidash, but from her position she didn't see its trainer just yet, so she directed her gaze downwards once more.

Luna heard the sound of the other fire-type approaching, and she paused when the nicker reached her ears. She raised her head and looked at him with a vaguely curious expression for a few moments before answering his greeting with a quiet whinny in return, though made no move to leave the vicinity of her charge.

HO'BOY she noticed him! Uniceros had to contain his excitement and instead stood tall and proud, trying to look impressive. Because well ... first impressions were important and all.

Uniceros decided to approach the pretty lady, leaving a baffled Flynn to stand there and watch. His Rapidash approaching the other with a definite swagger in his step. With a flick of his flaming tail, he came over to Luna and gave her a rakish grin... for a horse.

Luna stood tall and proud quite naturally - not to impress, but because that was what others expected of her and what she expected of herself, as a princess. Even if she no longer lived with the herd she ruled over with her elder sister Celestia, well... Old habits die hard. She watched him approach with a slowly raising brow until he stopped nearby and looked at her quite... quite... She didn't know if she had a word to describe the look he was giving her. <...um,> she hazarded uncertainly,

When a blob of white and blue moved into her peripheral vision, Seraphine raised her head again to see that same Rapidash sidling right on up next to her Princess Luna. ...huh. That was..--

Her train of thought derailed as her pale gaze slid to the fire-type's bewildered trainer. It was that guy! One of those fancy-a** cops. The one Yuri knew -- what was his name again? Francis... Fion.. F.... What the hell ever, it didn't matter. The point was, they met him in Grand Ile so what was he doing here.

The magazine lay forgotten on the bench as the brunette marched over to Flynn and pointed a finger up at him menacingly, not even seeming to notice the fact he was at least half a foot taller than her. "I don't know what you're doing here in Kodo, but fancy cop or not, you are absolutely not taking Luke back there!"

Uniceros tossed his mane, still wearing that overly confident grin that was obviously meant to seduce the lovely mare. "" he said back, although not at all knowing that she was indeed a princess. It just sounded good and stuff. ""

If Flynn actually knew what his Pokemon was saying, he would probably be planting his palm into his face right about now. But fortunately he had no clue. He just continued to stare, up until a finger was jabbed in his face. The man's blue eyes blinking in surprise as he reflexively tilted his head back just a little bit.

Looking down the arm and to the source of the pointing, he then blinked again at the girl and her demanding words. Wait... she looked a bit familiar. Flynn relaxed and laughed lightly, raising a hand to rub the back of his head. "Don't worry, I'm not here for anyone."

Luna's gaze moved momentarily to her charge as the young girl stormed off to confront this stallion's trainer, but it seemed alright, so she remained where she was. Her eyes flicked back to the other Rapidash, and she continued to give him a look of growing confusion and bewilderment. She did not know what he was driving at, but she at least knew that she did not like his attitude towards her. Thus, it was a few moments before she leveled him with a stern glance and a firm but kind tone, she informed him, to set him straight,

"...oh." Sera lowered her hand, though she still aimed an obviously suspicious glance at him. "Well, what are you here for, then?"

Uniceros blinked, his expression dropping rather suddenly at Luna's words and the manner in which she gave them. ... Ouch.

He mentally backpedaled, shaking his mane as he tried to recover.

<"Well Luna, every princess needs a knight. And I would be honored to offer my service to one as beautiful as you.">

"I took a post at the Grande Ile Embassy here in Kodo," Flynn explained, seeing her obvious suspicion.

Well, that was much better. Much more acceptable. Now that he didn't have such a ridiculous smile on his face, she offered him a short, single nod.

While she'd heard of such a building being built quite a while back, she had no idea what it was or what kind of purpose it served. Still, she couldn't help the lingering suspicion. "Luke's father didn't tell you to come so you could watch him, did he?"

Even though the silly smirk was gone from his face, the stallion still stood tall and proud. Although he continued to use his "suave" voice. Still hoping to woo her despite the cold shoulder he'd received. ""

Flynn shook his head. "Not at all. I volunteered for this post. Your friend is in good hands with Yuri, there's no need for me to keep an eye on him."

Luna either didn't notice or didn't care about his tone of voice, though she nodded once more. she said quite earnestly with a respectful nod.

"Oh." Well, that was different. Sort of. Still, he had at the very least assuaged most of her suspicions, so she simply nodded and relaxed a little. "Well, that's good. Why did you want to come here?" The buildings were fancier in Grand Ile, and he was very obviously fancy-looking... It made him look really out of place.

"" Uniceros said then turned his head to look at his blonde companion. "" Because a Rapidash of his stature would only go to the best officers, naturally.

"Mostly to keep an eye on Yuri," Flynn confessed good-naturedly. "He's been getting into trouble again, so someone has to keep him in line occasionally." His words were mostly in jest, but had a bit of truth to them as well. It wasn't as if he didn't trust Yuri, but well... he did worry a bit. He also didn't seem to notice or care that his uniform was rather out of place here.

The darker colored Rapidash appeared to enjoy the conversation much more now that he wasn't looking at her so strangely, and turned to regard Flynn when Uniceros spoke of him. That would make sense - a pair of knights.

"Oh? That I can understand," Sera said wholeheartedly, thinking mostly on his poor behavior towards herself - though thoughts of how he had to slay a number of people to protect Luke came to mind a little after. "Did you volunteer for that too?"

Uniceros dipped his head again in a nod. "" The Rapidash indeed took great pride in his profession. Being the steed of a member of the Grande Ile Guarde.

He then regarded her with a hint of curiosity. ""

Flynn chuckled at the question and shook his head. "It's not like that. Yuri and I have been friends since we were children. We've always looked out for each other."

She saw no reason to disallow the question he posed. she explained,

"Uh huh..." She watched him a few moments longer, then reiterated, "So you volunteered for that too." Friends did look after other friends, after all. This one just happened to be a fancy-a** cop looking out for someone who had to kill a bunch of people, which... He probably didn't know about.
