[PRP] The Repercussions from Loss

A Kodo wide alert went out in the early morning addressing any able and healthy bodies to volunteer their time for a very urgent matter. Radios, news station, and even the online news reporting a troubling story about a young girl who had gone missing in the woods by the mountains when she was out camping with her family.

"We told her to stay close when she wanted to go explore, just so we could still hear her, But when we called she wouldn't answer, and we couldn't find her anywhere!" The parents were shown in distress, weeping and in panic that their child was no where to be seen.
"Please, if you hear this, please help us search for our baby girl."

The news spread quickly, enough so that the League boards had put an urgent notice about the missing child, and urged any trainers in the aria to join the search.

The response was impressive, as volunteers showed up at the appointed time and location outside the city to get their instructions and explained the grid pattern that they would be assigned to follow.

The Trainers among the civilians and law enforcement were easy enough to spot, many of then showing up for the search by the direction of the League post. Their fashion was distinct, stylized for the sport and generally brightly colors, and they were usually accompanied by one or more pokemon.

Among the figures who could be picked out as a trainer stood a young women with blond hair, sporting her pink and white trainers outfit, and an assortment of pink pokeballs along her belt.
Her blue eyes cast around the crowd as the group she was standing with waited to be assigned,
At her side stood a tall Sawsbuck with wide antlers, a Raichu perched on his back, taking a pleased interest in the crowd around.

An impressive number had shown up for the search. Several people gathered around the start of a trail that lead into the mountains where the little girl had been last seen. The people had been organized into groups. Different parties assigned different areas to search, indicated on maps that had been handed out.

Some of the more experienced adults had also been assigned as team leaders to the different groups, and were clustered around nearby as they made out a game plan. One such person was a young blonde uniformed man. He'd been at the embassy when he'd heard about the crisis, and quickly offered his assistance.

Once the meeting was done, the different leaders went to their groups, and Rosie would see Flynn approaching atop his Rapidash and coming up to her group.

"Everyone, please listen," the man called, gathering the attention of the team he'd been assigned to. "My name is Flynn Scifo and I will be leading this group. Our search site is marker number seven on your maps. It's a three mile hike to this location and the terrain is a bit rough. I'll explain more details once we get there, but for now, please make sure you have enough water with you and whatever else you may need. Also, if you have any Pokemon that are good at picking up scents, such as Growlithe, now would be the time to bring them out."

He had secretly wished that Yuri had been there with Repede. The blue Growlithe had always been good at picking up a trail.

The group fell quiet when Flynn called for their attention, worried chat ceasing as each of them turned their attention to the man on top a white Rapidash.
A few were momentarily surprised, recognizing his attire from Grand Ile while others wondered what the uniform meant. Either way, it certainly helped to give him attention as he explained what their rout was.

Rosie however, knew just who this was, and was surprised to see him.
regardless, she listened to his explanation, looking on her map to find where they would be searching.
They had a little girl to help find after all, that was what was most important.

When asked for a tracker Kiss Kiss sat a little higher onto Grealhorn's shoulders and flexed one arm with a "Rai rai!"
Other pokemon with their trainers chiming in as well.
Rosie smile at her Raichu then looked back to Flynn.

While he was speaking, Flynn had noticed Rosie among the group. Turning a smile towards the Raichu when she spoke up with the other Pokemon. He remembered her as well. The little Pokemon that had been rather fond of Yuri the other day.

"All right, we'll be leaving in about 10 minutes so everyone please make sure you're prepared by then."

There was a bustle among the group as they went to fill water bottles, check their bags one last time, etc. He then moved Uniceros to stand next to the girl in pink and her rather impressive looking Pokemon.

"Miss Rosie, it's good to see you here."

Everyone took the opportunity to make sure that everything was in order.
They had been told prior to this that the aria they would be searching was a vehicle free zone, if anything happened out there they would have to reply on each other, and their pokemon.
It was a good thing there were a number of people with pokemon.

Rosie was just making sure that she had everything herself, when she heard the hooves of Flynn's Rapidash approaching.
Looking up, she gave a polite smile to the man.
"There was a notice about this in the League boards. Its so awful, a bunch of us just had to come and see if we could help."

She reached out to put a hand on Greal's shoulder once her back was back onto her back and clipped into place.
"Its good to see you here too, And you're leading out group."

"It's a fortunate coincidence isn't it?" Flynn then said in regard to leading her group. Pausing to look over the others who were still getting themselves ready. There was quite a number of trainers among them.

"I have to say, I admire the trainers for being so willing to help. Pokemon trainers are pretty much unheard of in my country. If all trainers are this way, Grande Ile would benefit from having them."

Perhaps one day, the League and trainers might establish themselves in Grande Ile as they had in Kodo.

She nodded her head with a smile, it certainly was a fortunate coincidence. she didn't know much about this man, but she knew he was a good friend of Yuri's and he seemed like a kind person.

"Kodo used to be the same way not too long ago. Though to be honest I think a lot of it came about due to necessity." Rosie stepped forward, reaching a hand out gently in an offered greeting to Flynn's Rapidash.
"I think the only time I saw a pokemon when we went to Grand Ile was the Rapidash you were riding. Not this handsome man though." She commented on the pokemon he had no, who was, really very stunning.

She looked back up at Flynn "With the increase of Grand Ile coming to Kodo and picking up training I'm sure that your home will start getting a taste for it though. Luke's a great trainer, And I know a couple others had a good time with it too." Though she had not heard of the last two, Guy and Natalia for quite some time.

Flynn listened and eventually nodded as she mentioned the lack of Pokemon in Grande Ile. "That's not surprising. Pokemon are mostly pets or used for their services like in the Guarde. We do have some that are trained to fight, but its not the same thing."

He hadn't known that Luke was a trainer though. He was a noble, so that surprised him somewhat. But then, he didn't know the extent of how long Luke had been in Kodo or what he'd been doing here either.

"Perhaps you're right. Maybe one day."

Uniceros looked to Rosie and then her hand at the greeting. He huffed his own greeting in return, allowing her to touch him if she so wanted.

Flynn then paused to look at a watch on his wrist, then looked up again to address the group.

"If everyone is ready, its time for us move." When it appeared that everyone was indeed ready to go, Flynn gave a motion with his arm for everyone to follow with him and Uniceros taking the lead.

Rosie tilted her head when Flynn explained a bit further about the pokemon role in Grand Ile, it certainly sounded a lot like what Kodo used to be like, though one thing he had mentioned made her a bit curious "Not the same thing?" She asked.

When Uniceros greeted her in return Rosie gently stoked his nose, though not for long before it was clear that it was nice to head out for the search.
She waved at the Rapidash as Flynn and him took up the lead, Rosie glancing at her own pokemon as they moved with the group to head up to their section of the grid.

The forest grew thick, very quickly, making progress slow as they had to go off the beaten path. Greal had long since vanished from Rosie's side, the large antlered pokemon appearing every once in a while ahead of the group, before he trotted out of sight again through the trees. How he was able to navigate it so quickly would be anyone wonder, though his type certainly would be a good explanation.

Kiss Kiss stayed closer to Rosie, pouncing on ahead and she looked around.

Rosie paused after climbing over a fallen tree, glancing around for the rest of the group on either side of her.
The task before them had not looked nearly as daunting as it would now, the forest seemed to stretch on forever, and would only get worse as it entered the mountains.

As the group traveled and the forest thickened, Flynn drew his sword, using it to cut away the particularly thick vegetation. Eventually it got to be too much a large beast such as Uniceros, and the man chose to dismount and put the Rapidash into a ball.

Eventually though, the group made it to their designated site, where Flynn started directing people. Having them go in pairs and scattering them in different directions. There was designated meeting times so that the group could keep tabs on each other.

As the people began to disperse, the man approached the girl with the same hair color as his. "Would you care to accompany me, Miss Rosie?"

Rosie was crouching down close tot he ground by Kiss Kiss as people were assigned locations, her knees were closed and she took a few moments to look over the map she was giving, comparing it to the map on her Poke Gear.
Kiss Kiss stood by her, watching what her trainer was doing, will little understanding.
Both of the girls looked up when they heard someone approaching. Rosie lifting herself back to her feet in time to see Flynn step over.

"Sure," She replied, reaching back to place the poke gear back onto her belt and stepping forward. It was great that she was going to be working with Flynn on this one, She didn't know anything about him, just that he was friends with Yuri, but she was looking forward to this.
Regardless though, they had a job to do, and finding that girl was going to be first and foremost the most important thing."So, I guess we're going to that this rout?" She asked pointing down through some trees, wondering if she had been looking through the map correctly.

Turning to look in the direction she pointed, Flynn gave a nod before looking back to the girl. "That's right. She was last seen not far from here. So its possible she could have wandered in that direction."

And with how long it had been, who knows where the girl could have ended up by now. Thus why it was best for the search parties all to spread out and cover as much ground as possible.

She started walking in the direction they were assigned, She wasn't entirely sure what she was looking for, or really where to look, but she figured as long as she started, she would get the hang of it.

"That poor girl" she commented "it seems so hard to believe she could just disappear that quickly, Its just so easy to get lost in a forest like this."
Kiss Kiss streaked through the brush in front of the two.
"I hope she's going to be okay..."
It was a terrifying though, traveling alone was scary enough if you weren't used to it but being lost, at that young of a age, she couldn't imagine how scared she must be.

Using his sword, Flynn chopped away some undergrowth that blocked their path, talking as he went.

"KATY!" he called out. For his voice could certainly reach further than his eye sight.

However, Rosie's words also reached his ears and he glanced at her. "Come now, let's not think like that. In order to give hope, you have to have it first. We'll find her."

Rosie lifted her gaze from the forest brush over toward Flynn, wide eyes blinking a couple of times before she put on a soft smile and nodded.
"You're right." she admitted, feeling a little silly for worrying so much when there were so many people out here to help, everyone cared about little Katy it would be fine.

Taking a quick step forward to duck under some low hanging tree branches, popping out from the other side as she peered around for any place a small child might have curled up in.
Katy was her name.

Cupping her hands she called out, waiting for a pause in the distant yet consistent call from the other searches "KAAATY!"
For a small girl, she had a surprisingly powerful voice.

"Raaaichu." Kiss huffed, crossing her arms and glancing around, she wasn't picking up on anything yet.
Greal had not added anything either, the Stag was as silent as the trees, though she knew he was around here somewhere, searching.
