[FIN] Beauty and the Beast

When the rest of the trainers had gone home, or set back into their journeys, Dove stayed back, moving up to the park and to the other vendors after calling her Pokemon back, ready to help the sellers and crew clean up in any way she could, and now, after a few hours of carefully moving flowers and breaking down food tents, she moved to a bench to rest her feet, waving as the last woman she had helped slid onto her cart and rode away, the bed of the cart nearly emptied from all the flowers she had sold during the festivities.

With her own crown of roses set aside, she closed her eyes a moment and trained her ears on the sounds of the sea. It had been a long, long night, and there was much to think over... Her mind wandered, and she knew she wouldnt be sleeping an time soon. At least she had been able to help the remaining workers get home a little faster.

Dove would eventually hear some shuffling nearby. And if she happened to look, she would find a rotund and rather frightening looking Pokemon with wide round eyes and a strange grin. The creature sitting atop the back rest of the bench, staring at her.

Though she was tired, and could not get her thoughts to quieten down, she blinked, the shuffling next to her shoulder breaking through the throbbing of her mind.

She straightened a little in her seat, then turned her head in the direction from which it came, jumping when her sights came to rest on the pokemon, her eyes growing twice their normal size. With it staring at her, she simply stared back, leaning back a little from it. To run might only provoke it to follow, as it had the Buneary earlier that day-- the previous day, she realized. Swallowing hard, she forced a small voice.

"H-Hello..."  

[BlackPidgeot]

"Puff," the moon creature bellowed back at Dove. Its eyes still staring at her unblinkingly.  

[Tori Honoo]

Oh, Arcaeus this thing was creepy.

However, she stayed put, tilting her head at it, her expression fearful, yes, but also confused. Was it here alone? What even was it? It looked like a jigglypuff... Sort of...didnt really sound like one...

"Are you alright...?" she asked it, assuming that this was the same creature Pop had attacked on the beach. It had been darker down there, of course, but it looked the same...

Oddly enough, the moon with ears and appendages was indeed a Jigglypuff. A rather defaced one at that.

"Puff," it again said in reply. Still unmoving and still staring.

Though it replied, she continued to stare at it, incredibly confused as to why it was even there in the first place. Carefully, she rose to her feet, giving it more space if it should desire, nodding a little at its.....reply.

"That's...good... I'm glad you're not hurt..." she said tentatively, hoping that it had actually told her that it wasn't.

As she moved, so did it. The strange Jigglypuff jumping down onto the seat of the bench and looking up at her.

"Puff?"  

[Tori Honoo]

She paused at its questioning tone, and turned back to it, crossing her arms loosely around her middle as she tried to figure out what to do with it.

It was far, far too early in the morning, and here she was, talking to a pokemon, with no idea what it was even saying to her. She was crazy.

After a moment's consideration, she drew Lovey's ball from her hip and released the eevee who immediately stretched, yawning, then looked to the pokemon addressing her trainer. With a start, she stepped a few paces back, then paused, squinting at the moonpuff as if trying to figure it out before offering it a soft "eev?"  

[BlackPidgeot]

"Puuuff," the Pokemon bellowed in agitation as the Eevee was released. His eyes looking down at her and taking a couple steps back himself. The last Pokemon he saw after all, attacked him.  

[Tori Honoo]

The trainer's eyes widened a little in alarm when the wild pokemon cried out, then shook her head, stepping toward it. "It's okay, Lovey is a friend!" she told it softly. "I promise she won't hurt you..."

Lovey simply looked to her trainer as though she were crazy, then looked back to the odd Jigglypuff, nodding and offering a softer bark in agreement. Why on earth had her trainer called her out for this?

The Jigglypuff was wondering the same thing. Why had she called out the Eevee so suddenly if she wasn't going to attack him?

Thus the strange Pokemon still looked doubtful and bellowed another, "Puuuff."  

[Tori Honoo]

"We won't hurt you, I promise." she repeated, sighing a little.

Kneeling in the grass next to the bench, Dove scooped the eevee up in her arms and set her on the seat she had previously occupied, looking between the two pokemon before motioning for Lovey to speak with it. Lovey simply blinked, then sat, understanding her trainer's intent. With a flip of her ear, she looked to the odd pokemon again.

Dove reached out to pet the eevee, watching the Jigglypuff curiously, to see if the two could even interact, or if it wanted to. It hadn't shown any indications of being unfriendly...yet.

The Jigglypuff didn't seem to appreciate having the Eevee put down on the bench beside him and shuffled away to the end of the seat.

"" The odd Pokemon said back to Lovey.  

[Tori Honoo]

The girl's shoulders sank as the pokemon shuffled back away from Lovey, wondering if she should return the eevee to her ball. However, Lovey spoke up again, keeping her place.

She flicked her tail and looked up to Dove again, before turning her eyes to the Jigglypuff. she asked cautiously, in hopes.
