Sophie knew Alex wouldn't approve of her wanting to help the horseman reclaim their lands but she also knew he wouldn't let her go alone. So she had told him of her intentions in very specific details - date, time, meeting point and was now hanging around on the other side of the portal for his inevitable arrival. Her bag was filled with bandages and her first aid kit was clipped to her belt as it always was. Eyes glanced around as she watched the horseman and initiates alike prepare for battle; some charging in yelling and some hanging back and calculating. Alex showed up, but it wasn't at the time that Sophie had told him to. And while he might not have approved of Sophie being an initiate, getting the ponies lands back was a cause he could absolutely jump on board with. The sooner they completed this task, the sooner they could all go home. It wasn't that Alexander didn't like the ponies. A fair few of them were at least okay in his books. It was more like he just wasn't sure he could trust them. Not Medea, at least, and certainly not this Death character though he seemed a little more level headed then the Priestess, from what he'd heard.
Anyways, none of that really mattered. What mattered right now is that his sister wanted help, and probably knew that if she told him what she was doing, he would show up (eventually) to keep her out of trouble. After all, if something happened to her, it was his rotting hide on the line with their mother.
And so, he showed up, late and slouched over, wearing nothing less then his usual thrown together attire complete with bare feet, and no other supplies to be seen. He lifted one hand out of his pocket to give Sophie a "hello" gesture as he approached, then shuffled his way through the portal to his sisters side, staring around with mismatched eyes at the greyed out landscape that met them, and shaking his head at the whispers in the air. How did Mort deal with that on a daily basis?
"Hey so...This looks like some fantastic family fun you've got planned here." He said, rather dryly as he continued to look around.
((idunno I assumed she was on the insanity side already sorry if that's wrong XD))

It was only a matter of time until a horseman noticed the two undead, and that time was now. She sat on top of the wall, legs dangling over the edge. She leaned forward and propped her elbows on her knees. Chin in her hands, the bluejay eyed the undead siblings with keen interest. She had seen initiates before, but had never been given the opportunity to speak with them much. Usually, everyone was far too busy trying to collect FEAR or fighting off hunters or whatever crazy business Medea decided to lead the clans into. While it was still important to go out and deal with the titans, now seemed like a pretty good time to talk with some more students.
Bandaged hands clung to the wall before she pushed herself forward into a giant leap. She grinned, feeling the rush of air and her scarf waving wildly before she spread out her wings and pumped them to slow her speed. Jay glided over to them until she decided to land on the boil since he looked like the sturdier one of the pair. “Well, it’s always nice to have family,” she offered with a bird-like c**k of her head.

Sophie swatted her brother's back lightly, clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth and frowning lightly. "Oh come on. It won't be that bad. We'll just go in, hit a few monsters and be home in time for dinner." She smiled as if it was actually that simple - as if things always went as planned around here. Her eyes sparkled for a moment. "Besides. I heard they're making weapons out of any loot we find. Rumor has it one of them heals.." She scuffed her foot, kicking a rock into the distance. "I want it."
At the arrival of the horsewoman... perched on Alex's shoulder.. Sophie raised a brow and blinked a few times in surprised before giggling. "Wow, you're really the perfect height for that." Sophie rocked on her heels and gave the horsewoman a smile. "We're going to beat on some titans. Do you wanna come?"

"Right right, of course. Maybe we'll even be able to catch a mov---" And that was all Alexander was able to get out before a sudden sound of beating wings invaded his ears and an unexpected weight settled itself on top of his shoulders.
The zomboil reacted almost instantly, hands shooting out of his pockets, arms raised and flailing as he began to totter, back arching backwards, one foot lifting off of the ground. He literally had no idea what the hell was going on or happening, and his gut instinct told him that he was under attack by some kind of insanity monster that had been lurking near the portal and was soon going to bite his head off.
"WHAT IN THE NAME OF JACK GET IT OFF GET IT OFF GETITOFFFF." He screeched, even as he lost his balance completely and began to fall backwards.
And what was most laughable about this situation is that she thought that he would actually be the more steady perch to land on.

Jay was a horseman, but sometimes one had to wonder if she was secretly an actual bird, especially as she let out a very bird-like squawk when the boil chose to react violently. “H-Hey!” she screeched, thin arms stretched out in an attempt to maintain her balance. Unfortunately, he was beginning to fall backwards. Realizing the situation, she hastily put force into her legs and jumped, causing Alex to fall even further backwards.
But at least she managed to smoothly land a few feet away from him. Hands on her hips, she huffed and turned toward the undead boil. “Even though you’re tall and look sturdy, you are not a good perch.” Jay stuck her tongue out at him before turning toward the ghoul. “Sure! I’m Jay. What about you?”

Alex's reaction had Sophie in a fit of laughter and she offered him her hand in order to pull him up before turning to the horsewoman and offering a soft smile. "Sophie," she said, introducing herself. "Sophie Van Rotte." She stuck out her thumb and pointed to Alex. "This is Alex." Sophie rocked on her heels and stared into the distance before turning to them once more and tilting her head. She seemed fidgety and impatient and she let out an unnecessary huff of breath.
"I don't mean to be rude but could we get going?" She asked, voice as sweet as ever. "I just want to get that whip!"Syusaki didn't realise you tagged gomen

The woman propelling herself off of his shoulders clenched it, and instead of just flailing madly while wobbling on his feet, Alexander soon found himself lying on his back on the ground, a cloud of dust rising from where he'd landed, arms spread out to each side. "I'm not. A perch." He growled, before reaching up to let his sister haul him up from the ground. "Also Van Rotte." He added on to Sophies introduction, staggering back to his feet and dusting himself off while shooting the horsewoman an irritated glance. "Her brother." Apparently in all his failing disgruntlement, he had missed the part where Jay had been invited to come along, but he heard the part where she accepted. Sophie seemed fairly eager to get moving right along, and Alex let out a sigh, rolling his head from side to side and shrugging his shoulders a few times. "Of course. I wouldn't want to miss lunch." He wasn't smiling just yet, still annoyed by being knocked into the dirt, but the growl in his voice from earlier was at least gone.

Jay narrowed her eyes slightly, giving the brother an incredulous look. Him, not a perch? What did he possibly mean by that? “Oh~ A brother. An older brother, maybe? Your grumpy look says older brother, but I guess grumpy younger brothers aren’t that rare either…” By now, the bird was mumbling to herself before she shook her head quickly, snapping out of it.
“Okay!” she chirped, choosing to walk away from the boil and toward the ghoul, who appeared more friendly. Maybe she would make for a good perch? Once they weren’t moving, anyways. Her feet seemed to float above the ground as she practically glided toward Sophie and placed a hand lightly on her soldier. “How about we go that way?” suggested the warrior, nodding in a particular direction. “My guts tell me we’ll find something over there.”
