With the sun rising higher into the sky, and the morning slowly being swept away by the warmer rays of day, Dove and her team found themselves by the water's edge, along a stream not too far from the city, still enjoying the quick breakfast the girl had provided.

For now, Trill and Tobi stayed tucked away in their balls, one too unique to be seen by any passerby's eyes, the other still too young and small to train with the rest of her team. Sparky lay along the bank at her side, still put out with the early training routine she had adopted, though she had been doing it now for months, his eyes trained on their surroundings, looking for any sign of danger. Lovey lay across her lap, happily chewing on a pecha berry, and Thierry stood not too far away, enjoying the fare his trainer had given him, in addition to the full, springy grass around the bank.

The trainer's eyes, however, remained on the landscape around them as she went through her mental list of things the day would hold.

Everything seemed still and quiet, the lake gently ripping as a breeze caressed across its glassy surface, rustling the leaves gently and helping to cool an already hot day.

The sounds of an occasional wild pokemon could be heard from the distance, otherwise, it was a quiet, though muggy afternoon.

Though silent, and still, that didn't mean that there was a lack of movement. To anyone paying mind to the water, what looked like a long thick glossy black log suddenly bubbled up to the surface, backed by a sprawl of long cobalt prongs.
Whatever these were seemed to just float there int he middle of the water, though slowly, very slowly began to drift with the ripples toward where Dove and her Pokemon were.

Though still doing her best to fully wake, the girk's eyes stilled on the stream, content now with watching the waters as they flowed. Sparky would continue to watch for danger.

However, after a few minutes of sitting in almost silence, something caught her eye in the water, and she sat up a bit to look harder--she was still waking up, and it looked like her eyes might have been playing tricks on her. Whatever it was seemed stationary, but when it starte to move toward her, the girl rose to her feet, lifting the eevee with her as she moved from the water's edge, wary, and with hopes it was just a wild Pokemon her team could easily turn away or capture.

Sparky put himself between the thing in the water and his girl, watching with sharp eyes.

If whatever was floating in the water even had the capability of understanding what was going on around it, it certainly didn't seem to take notice of the movement of the pokemon and their trainer on the shoreline.
Continuing to ever slowly just drift closer to the shore.
As it came in shallow water however, it would be clear that there was something below the water, attacked to the long glossy log, a massive black form snaking slowly, before two large armored claws reached out, and a monster lifted from the water, its head turned toward Dove and her pokemon, as a thick rumble vibrated from its throat.

Dove's eyes widened as the thing--whatever it was-- rose up out of the water, and stepped back again, setting herself in a stronger position for whatever came next, whether it involved running with her team to get away from it or fighting it. "What..." the sentence lay broken, as she watched it rise.

Sparky gave it a comfortable pocket of space, though the rumble in its throat made him all the more cautious, and a low grow arose in his own, in smooth warning to whatever it was. A battle wasn't necessary quite yet, if it wasn't challenging them, but if it was challenging them, or if it had any ill will toward his trainer, the typhlosion would surely see to it that it's plans were torn to pieces.

Thierry stayed close to his trainer, immediately at her side, should she need him. Lovey blinked widely from her trainer's arms, before burying herself in them, now just peeking at the thing as it presented itself.

Whatever eyes this creature might have, just visible toward the front of the creatures head, nearly blending in with the rest of its body glinted as it eyed the group. another low slow rumble.

Whatever forward movement it made from there stopped, for whatever reason, that was until the pokemon closest to it growled.
At the show of aggression the lips of the creature peeled back, showing a nasty row of thick steely fangs.
Its eyes flared open with a much more impatient rage and with a rush of water pulled the massive beast up to its full towering height and thick chittin covered bulk with a shrike toward the fire type that pierced through the silence.

Somewhere from the other side of the lake, someone jerked upright from where they were laying in the tall grass.
A dark skinned man with a array of tribal tattoos and contrasting eyes wide as he stared around in startled confusion at the sudden burst of noise.
Pausing as he put together what he was seeing, and the fact that the large cobalt monster was poised to lunge in attack.

The teeth alone on the monster made the girl's eyes widen, and her attention stayed on the beast, leaving whoever it was on the opposite bank unnoticed for now.

The cry it gave, however, made her eyes narrow, and she quickly released another pokemon to stand beside Sparky, this one a massive golden Arcanine, who immediately took stance after a quick survey of the situation, a roar building in her chest. The trainer kept her eyes on the two, then glanced to the Rapidash, who immediately knew to be ready in case he was needed. Though the creature--whatever it was-- stood only about a foot taller than her team of three, Dove was overly cautious. Not only did it look terrible, horrifying even, but she gathered it must be a water type of some sort-- it almost resembled a Feraligator...almost-- and her team was full flame. She didn't want to fight it... but if it persisted, she had no qualms about unleashing all three at it at once. It wasn't natural... there was no way something like that could be.

The release of another pokemon seemed to only worsen the situation, as the cobalt creature dropped its jaw wide, roaring with a force that flung water and spit at the two fire types, and a ferocity that drive a thick claw slamming down onto the soft ground as it hunkered more of his body from the water to face down the two fire types, bristling with anger.
They wanted a fight, they would get a fight! Tear them apart! Rip rip rip RIP!

A long tail lashed around behind the creature, the bladed armor on the end striking the water with a cutting force.
Though the screaming and advancing was cut off with a cackle from the air, and a large round form of a half glowing Gengar appeared on top of the elongated head, his wide green eyes looking down at the two fire type

The figure that sat up let out a light sigh, reaching up to rub the shaved side of his head. He was too ********' tired for this s**t.
"Yo, doll, C'mon." he grunted from where he was sitting, seeming unconcerned.

The sound of the humans voice silenced the creature, hunkered in the water ready to pounce.
though the anger seemed to be subsiding, her eyes were not removed from the two fire types.

Dove nearly flinched, and took half a step back, her eyes still narrowed at the beast as Sparky again set a distance between himself and whatever it was, Aurora throwing him a scowl before doing the same at his silent request. Ugh, logical Typhlosion, unwilling to jump into a fight head on without thinking it all out. Though she guessed that wasn't a bad thing.

When the Gengar appeared, however, Sparky froze, before his eyes narrowed even further into slits. With a roar with almost strong enough force to shake the ground, his entire body tensed, and he released a strong jet of flame in the direction of the ghost type. He should have assumed this was the work of a filthy member of Team Rocket. The Gengar would receive no answer, aside from the long burst of flame.

Aurora took her eyes from the others for a moment, surprised at her teammate's reaction, but quickly locked her eyes to both of the unfamiliar pokemon, trusting in the head of Dove's team. Whatever this was, it wasn't a joke. At all.

Though Sparky's roar had taken her by surprise, the man's voice was even more surprising, even if it was faint from her place away from the bank where she stood. It seemed to calm the monster, whatever it was, and her attention now settled on the Gengar that Sparky had attacked without hesitation. It was immediately familiar, and the association that it held with her memories was not pleasant. She knew the voice had sounded familiar...though she was less afraid of the man than she was the pokemon now before her again.

Thierry pawed at the ground, uneasy with the entire situation, though he stilled a little as his trainer called out to the man on the opposite bank. "Call yours off, and I'll do the same for mine!"
PostPosted: Thu Jul 25, 2013 10:40 pm
Whatever calm the man's voice had instilled into the water type had gone completely out the window when a jet of fire was thrust past her head where the Gengar had been sitting.

This was met almost instantly with a mouthful of water thrust forcefully from the creature's gaping mouth at the attacking pokemon.

The Gengar, who had removed himself from the line of fire let out another laugh, practically rolling in the air before he flipped forward again
A wide smirk spread over his lips.

"Woh woh woh!" The dark skinned man barked from the other side of the late. "Aight hold the ********' phone all a ya!"
Though Jerome had only ever showed a very mellow and calm disposition, it certainly didn't show with how he was able to project his voice, booming across the lake. Making him sound very much like the forceful gangster he grew up as.

"Y'hit my girl again with that s**t and I ain't stopin' her from hittin' ya back! N'Hirss, calm down Doll."
He let out a sigh again rubbing his neck before tiredly pushing himself to his feet, damn it, he was way to tired for this.

The girl's eyes widened as her pokemon showed absolutely no signs of backing down now, though the first seemed more immediately devoted to the ghost type as it taunted him. Sparky darted out of the way, sending another firey blast at the Gengar, as Aurora prepared to launch herself at the larger pokemon in the water, if it made any move toward her trainer.

Dove held the ball's in her hands, lifting them to call back her team in hopes that the other trainer would do the same, until two things happened:

First, the somewhat familiar man across the stream called out, with no intent to call his pokemon back. Though he had chosen to try to calm the water type by voice, Dove knew neither of them, and immediately knew not to trust them, thus did not call her two back quickly enough to stop Sparky's life of training, and his apparent fury, from taking over.

Second, the Typhlosion had quickly stolen a glance at his charge to make sure no other pokemon had been able to sneak up behind them, and, with a furiously frustrated growl, had sent another jet of fire, this one much less powerful, at her hand, forcing her to drop them at her feet with a yelp of fear--she would not be calling him back, not this time, even if it meant frightening her. That done, he moved again, before spitting fire one last time, a large 'R' shape now drawn in the grass by flame, his eyes locked again on the Gengar as he spoke to the other pokemon behind him. Team Rocket, and very proud ones, at that,> he spat, glaring at the ghost type still. His team would very much do well to keep alert and ready, so long as the man and his two were near. If not, Sparky would tear them apart himself, when they were far from here, as well as his trainer, if she didn't understand the symbol he had drawn.

Thierry stilled his hooves, then moved to place his front half between her and the others before looking to her and the eevee in her arm.

Dove found herself now staring at the R on the ground, her shoulders tight. This wasn't a time to take chances. Her eyes now sharp, she bent and scooped up the balls from the ground, clenching them tightly in her fists.

"Call them back."

Jerome let out a heavy breath through his nose when the typhosion didn’t stop attacking, seeming to be aiming at Bro’ for whatever reason, probably something the ghost type said to him.
The brunette, who Jerome guessed was the trainer of the pokemon called to him again, but at this point Jerome just threw his hands up.
“Yo, I tried, I told ya I ain’t stopin’ her now. Just let em figure it out themselves.” with that gangster dropped back down into the tall grass, his hands behind his head, seeming completely unconcerned with the events unfolding.
As for the pokemon, whatever, they wanted to beat it out of their systems, then let them, it’s how a lot of problems on the streets got solved.

Hirss, who’s head had turned toward Jerome when he had called for her to calm down, jerked back up when more fire was let out.
Though it was aimed mostly at Bro, who cackled and twirled away, dropping into completely invisibility,
Hirss eyed the fire for a moment before a shrike toward the fire types was joined with a wave of scalding hot water.
The attacks had not stopped from the fire types, Hirss wasn’t going to take it anymore.
With the intense speed of a feraligatr’s strong legs the large water type launched herself from the water, leaping at the Typhosion with her Scald.

Bro’ simply popped back into view over the big flaming R and chucked at it
His stubby arms crossed over his chest, clicking his teeth as he simply watched Hirss throw herself into her attack on the pokemon who was attacking, leaving the human and other pokemon out of it.

Though the Feraligatr was fast, Sparky was faster, and avoided the attack skidding to a halt on the opposite side of the beast, deciding again that the Gengar was the immediate threat. Whatever this thing was, it was only capable of brute force, and no logical play whatsoever, or so it had appeared thus far.

Aurora, as soon as the water type had moved, had charged forward in Extreme Speed, aiming to knock the thing back into the water if she could.

Sparky's eyes lit to Bro once more as it cackled its taunts over the flaming symbol, just barely even able to stop himself from rolling his eyes. Yes, he and fire... being a typhlosion, it would have been difficult not to hold such an association, but the thought was trivial, and he said nothing in return.

Dove let out a long breath and shifted the balls back to her hip, careful to secure and lock them into place before she turned to the Rapidash beside her. "Sorry, Thierry. It looks like we're doing this the old fashioned way," she said, calling Lovey back to her ball and securing it quickly and correctly. The eevee was near terrified anyway. She nodded encouragingly as the large horse bent his neck and allowed her to pull herself up to his bare back, the flames of his mane warmer than usual, but harmless to its rider. That done, she pulled her phone from her back pocket, holding it tightly and pressing a few buttons as she followed the pokemon's movements, then returned it to a more secure place in her bag, and calling out,

"Sparky, Aurora!"
PostPosted: Sun Jul 28, 2013 11:52 am
Though the fire type got out of her way, she had no movement troubles as she whipped around to swing her heavy tail toward the typhosion.
This however was put to a stop when the other Fire type slammed into her.
With a slight grunt of surprise her long arms reached around to grab a hold of the canine as she was pushed backwards from the shore.

Bro' just continued to hover and grin, me might have had words to say in pure elation if he had heard that he was considered the threat, considering he had actually never once thrown an attack at any of these pokemon.
he let out a rolling laugh, then snapped his fingers.

Sparky sighed in his frustration, bored by the poor fool's chatter. He did not give a damn about about the forest around him, nor did he care where the Gengar had picked up the honorific. At his trainer's call, he stole a glance, then nodded, before looking to Aurora.

The arcanine, while successful in knocking the beast off course, had been snared by the Feraligatr's arms. Fortunately, her trainer's eyes had yet to leave her for more than a few seconds at a time to keep her hand stable. Once her phone was put away and her hands freed, she called the arcanine back to her ball, then Sparky, willing to risk a few more red fingers. Sparky acquiesced this time.

With her team called back, the girl leaned forward to steady herself, then urged the Rapidash on, and with no hesitation, Thierry took off, picking up speed quickly as he felt his trainer's hold adjust, to put as much distance between his girl and the other team.

The flaming red R would eventually flicker away and die.
