[PRP] Part of the Herd

While the two girls talked - or as much as Seraphine would speak in such moods - Luna had moved with her elder sister and her companions down to the beach, to give the teens some space. The darker Rapidash couldn't help the small pang of jealousy - something she'd always had trouble with - that her sister was lucky enough to have another Rapidash as well as a Sawsbuck with her, while she only had a myriad of tricksters, jokers and bloodthirsty predators to deal with. It was most unpleasant to attempt conversation with any of them, and it left her more than a little lonely at times, but that just made her all the more glad to see her sister again each time.

Luna asked of Celestia, and even though Pastin and Graelhorn were there, she didn't ignore them - she just had nothing to say to them specifically at the moment.

Sand could be difficult to walk in, especially to large beasts with small hooves, well, in comparison to their body.
Pastin was a strong walker, leaving an unsettled spray of sand around his hooves as he strode casually alongside his teammates. The specked stallion wearing a content expression, with his gaze turned out to the ocean they made sure to keep a safe distance from.

Grealhorn tried to counter the sand by lifting his hooves up higher, though not quite accomplishing a very practical walk, as he kept up easier with the smaller of the hooves species. His expression was as sour and hard as ever, saying nothing as he watched the sisters talking.

Celestia on the other hand, maintained a form of grace in her stride, practically gliding over the uneasy and soft surface with her head held high in her poise.
A soft smile worn on her lips as her attention turned to her sister.
Celestia answered. She asked next, a light incline of her head.

Ears pressed back against his skull, giving a strained displeasure to his features.
The black Rapidash with bloody red eyes didn't move in the sand, instead he stood by himself, a good distance from not only the other Rapidash, but from the women who was not his trainer.

While the other, more mature pokemon stood and talked, another younger, clearly energetic Rapidash tore down the beach, testing out the new strength of his body for what felt like the first time, though he had been evolved at least a couple of weeks. Though cautious to keep well away from the other beach-goers and their pokemon so as not to run them down, Thierry flew over the sand, his feet in the shallows of the surf as it washed up onto the shore, used to the feel of the ground sinking as his hooves dug in, but thrilled by the feeling that flowed through him as he ran.

He did, however, slow, shaking out his mane and his steps fell into a canter, his eyes on the group of elder Rapidash and friend, his eyes bright as he found almost half the group to be familiar to him. Though not as shy as Rosie's pokemon might have remembered him to have been at first, Thierry moved closer to the group, making his presence known with a gentle and polite when appropriate and a nod of his head to the others, though his eyes still held the excitement of his run and he held his head a little higher than normal.

Luna, like her sister, had little trouble keeping her grace and poise as they walked along the sand. She'd spent years striving to be like her sister in a lot of ways, and that had been one of them. The question made her pause briefly to think, during which she turned her head slightly to glance out at the ocean. When her gaze returned to her elder sister, she replied, she hesitated, does nothing. Honestly, sister, I am not quite sure what to do. I do not know that I can help her,> the troubled Rapidash finally finished with a soft frown, her gaze ahead of her again.

Her attention was slowly pulled by the sound of very quickly approaching hoofbeats on the sand, and her ears perked forward as the young Rapidash approached. she replied in kind, and while her tones were pleasant and amiable, she was a little put out. She had been looking forward to her sister's insight, and the arrival of a stranger put a damper on such hopes quite a bit - it wouldn't do to talk of personal matters in front of strangers.


Another equine had similar intentions to Thierry's. Silvery gray flames rippled out like fiery banners behind her shiny form as the Rapidash galloped down the stretch of beach, headed vaguely towards the group as well. It was rather obvious that she had spotted them though, as her pace slowed slightly and her angle changed to lead her directly to them.

Suddenly out of nowhere a white stallion came thundering across the sand, blue flames flickering. He then came to a stop between Thierry and Luna, pawing the sand as he turned a stern look on the young male Rapidash.

"You shouldn't be bothering the ladies," he told Thierry, before looking to the lovely Luna.

"Good day princesses, I hope he wasn't disturbing you too much."

He smiled cheerfully but shyly at Luna's greeting, lifting his head to look at her before turning his gaze away. She was just as pretty as Celestia...

Sonata's appearance was also met with quiet enthusiasm, as he was excited to show her how he had changed both in size and in relation to his trainer, but his attention was jerked to the other stallion as he approached and scolded him. His eyes wide and his head dipping, Thierry made more room for Uniceros, his worried gaze falling to Luna again. < "I apologize, I didn't mean to interrupt anything,"> he said, submitting to the older stallion's authority. He had thought he had been polite...

The sudden appearance of Uniceros inserting himself between them made Luna's brows raise, and her ears twisted back and forth a bit uncertainly. she informed the pale stallion with a shake of her head, eying him a bit before she focused on the normal colored Rapidash.


It wasn't long at all before Sonata reached the group of Rapidash, and the rippling flames billowing out behind her slowly diminished until they were normal length as she slowed and halted near them. she greeted amiably, ears perked forward. She half-asked, glancing between all of them. She thought one or two faces seemed familiar, but she couldn't be sure...

When Luna essentially brushed him off, without even a greeting, in favor of the younger stallion, this did not bode well. Uniceros' ears pinned back in dejection and he turned a glare on Thierry that Luna wouldn't be able to see. The stallion then stepped out of the way in brooding silence.

A look of mild surprise crossed Thuerry's face as Luna corrected the other male speaking with her, until he again stepped back, intimidated by the glare he was given. However, Uniceros decided to step away, and given the freedom, the younger Pokemon answered the mare politely. he answered, gently trying to pursue her own name. His ears stayed forward, amiable and sweet. Uniceros had called her a princess... Such affectionate names were embarrassing, he thought, but what if she preferred them? Or what if she really was a princess?

Though still very obviously worried that he might be a nuisance to the group for the moment and feeling guilty about Uniceros's displacement (thought it eased him to know the older rapidash wouldn't be standing so immediately next to him for now), Thierry's eyes lit up at Sonata approached and he offered a gentle snuff to her in welcome, wondering if she might remember him, his eyes bright.

Celestia kept her ears perked forward in attention on her sister, though there was a sadness in her bright eyes as her sister spoke of the girl who she lived with.
Poor dear, not a night went by that Celestia could see the worry on Rosie's face for Seraphine, though to hear from it from Luna put a much more real image of just why Rosie lost herself in a deep but quiet distress.

The conversation was changed when they were joined by several other Rapidash, the princess turned her eyes toward them, a quiet genuine smile to the young Rapidash with the popular coloration of their breed. He was handsome and young, She of course recognized him,
She spoke with a bend of her leg as she lifted a decorated hoof.

Pastin too greeted the younger Rapidash with a hearty snort, stepping forward next to Luna and looking to Thierry. While Grealhorn's expression did not change, frowning sternly down at the fire type, and not moving from next to Celestia.

Though it was not soon after another familiar Rapidash placed himself into the group, and scolded Thierry.
Each of the team mates looked a little surprised by the sudden protectiveness, though had no real reason to speak, as Luna seemed to have defused the situation, and deflated the male.

Greal let out a gruff "Hrmph" his large fanning ears flicking backwards.

Celestia greeted politely to the Shiny Rapidash who had just joined them. She noted with a pleased tone.

Pastin lifted tossed his head up, the flames along his neck billowing loudly, as the orange under-glow of his brown flame shone brighter. <... You look kind of familiar.> He noted, studying the shiny female for a moment.

As Celestia had offered Luna's name to the newcomers, she refrained from repeating it and simply nodded instead with a light, content smile. Due to her position, she completely missed that anything went on between Thierry and Uniceros, though she did look mildly confused when he moved away. Regardless, she offered the young Rapidash a kind smile. she said softly, then nodded to the shiny Rapidash,

she offered promptly with a warm smile. Truly, she hardly ever encountered even Ponyta, let alone Rapidash on base, and never more than one at a time. This was a treat indeed. Her eyes twinkled as she turned to the young Rapidash as well, though, and offered him a broader smile.

She had no intention of ignoring the other's question, though, and she turned a thoughtful, appraising look on Pastin. She vaguely recalled seeing the blonde girl that day in the cafe. It had been ages since she was small enough to fit in a cafe, though.


Luna nodded at the offered name, and with those greetings done, she turned to the departed stallion.

A few feet away Uniceros watched the group, his head drooping a bit dejectedly. His expression particularly hard whenever he looked at Thierry. However he'd never seen the shiny Rapidash before, and while he thought she was rather pretty, he didn't much feel like speaking to her.

That is until Celestia mentioned him, to which he lifted his head and nodded. "It's a pleasure to meet you." Though his enthusiasm was a bit lacking.

However the stallion looked to Luna and he perked up just a little when she finally spoke to him. "< I have been faring well, princess. And you? You're looking lovely as always. >"

Thierry returned politely, collecting the names given and the relations as he gratefully accepted their welcomes as well. So she was a princess! His smile for her was shy, but bright.

His attention then turned to Sonata, whose praise was recieved with a head lifted high and an excited smile. He reared up a little, shaking out his mane and pawing his hooves modestly into the air. he laughed, before settling back into the sand. Maybe not quite as big as Pastin yet, but he was close!

Settled again but still, he looked around the group, politely listening to the conversations around him, but curious about another Rapidash that stood apart from the group. With a softer voice, to those with him, he asked,  

[League Trainer Rosie]

Celestia watched the others interact with a quiet loving look on her face. An old nostalgia in her eyes, the brightly colored flames rippling across one side of her face as she allowed herself to simply enjoy listening to the others.
That was, until Thierry made mention of another, and her light colored eyes turned toward a black Rapidash standing a distance away.
She admitted, glancing to Greal who also shook his head, standing much taller than the other hooved Pokemon.

Pastin burst with a laugh < Yes, Of course, you had blue flames back than, well it has been a while.> He said, tossing his head back with a grin, the long flickering goatee under his chin flickering with the movement.
He spoke indicating his trainers name.

Sonata beamed at Thierry. She cried, giving a more enthusiastic response to match his energy and his own enthusiasm, as a mother might for their child that was excited over some accomplishment. both physically and mentally. His question calmed her a bit, and she bobbed her head lightly.

Mention of the dark stallion not far off made her shift her focus in his direction, and her ears swiveled back and forth uncertainly, then she shook her head in the negative - she'd never seen such a creature before. Rather than focus on that for too long, she grinned at Pastin and his laugh. she repeated with a short nod of her head,


Luna replied with a small nod of her head, her ears perked towards the pale stallion. So many were speaking, though, and she endeavored to give equal attention to each that spoke to her, so she turned towards Thierry once more with a small smile. He certainly was polite.

While Pastin was beside her, he appeared to mostly be speaking to the shiny newcomer, so she moved on to Thierry's question instead. None of the others seemed to know him. the mare replied, her ears flicking back as her gaze fell on the black Rapidash. she explained, glancing to each of the other Rapidash in turn, though she was unable to keep herself from pawing a forehoof in the sand briefly. She did not like the stallion in the least.


Not too far away from the group, a brown, hornless Rapidash moved along the sand at an easy canter, headed down the beach in their direction, but not necessarily headed directly towards them. She just so happened to be cantering from north to south, and they were sitting at a point along that path.
