Well,i bought Cg illust a long time ago,and i also heard that open canvas and cg illust are kinda the same...but when i heard that open canvas is free...does that mean i wasted my money? sweatdrop

mmm i don't think open canvas is free o_O u get a free trial for a month though. there is a free version fo open canvas but it's one of the very beginning versions. shrug i've only played with open canvas a little. never seen cg illust. i use photoshop though.

I have Open Canvas, but I've never seen what you're talking about. THe version I have was free, but I think that's because it's a real early version.

According to what I've seen and tried, OpenCanvas2 and Cg Illust were the same program. OpenCanvas1 was (and is) the only freeware version.

Opencanvas 1 is free, and it's not bad - I mean, if you just want a tool to paint... textures and filters are poor or inexistent in this version wink But I think some tablets don't work with it. At least my Genius tablet, it's not recognized by the program sweatdrop
But, since CG Illust seems to be the same that OC2, I suggest you stick with it 3nodding
