[PRP] Jace to Jace

With the sun high and not a cloud in the sky, a young trainer cast a rushed "later!" to his mom and darted out the door, followed by two pokemon, a pichu and a charmander that actually paused a moment to give the amused woman a wave: he would watch after her boy.

Jace ran, happy as could be as he made his way to the park, eager to work with his little growing team, and especially eager to introduce Zap to her newest teammate. Finally there-- as the park wasn't too terribly far from where he resided with his parents-- and out of breath, the boy stopped in a not-too-crowded area, laughing as the tiny electric pokemon all but tackled him to the ground, just as excited, it seemed, as he was to be out and enjoying the day. Chester stood by and shook his head in amusement and gave a soft sigh. The boy was a handful enough, but with the addition of the spirited little pichu, he was finding more and more reason to keep a careful watch.

After having finally caught his breath, the boy pushed himself up again, letting the pichu climb to his shoulder as he took out a ball from his pocket. "Okay, guys, don't scare him, okay?" he told his team very seriously, before releasing the contents of the ball.

A Torkoal slowly formed in the grass in front of him, blinked up at the small group, and yawned before settling down onto the ground and looking to the boy, completely and utterly unalarmed.

With resources still scattered, and various items needing purchase, retrieval, or simply a confirmation of where said current resource was to be found, now, two Rocket operatives (out of uniform, of course) found themselves in Camphoreon after a speedy, though not necessarily comfortable, ride courtesy of Tambrey's Pidgeot, Pygi.

Rory and Tambrey had arrived a little earlier and immediately set about checking in with Rory's personal storage, and then the purchase of a few items that they considered necessary.

With a few tasks already completed, and desperate for just the smallest part of something that wasn't Team Rocket life, they'd ventured toward the park with the intention of spending a short time there- and, for Tambrey, the intention of depositing something that she'd decided would not benefit from Team Rocket's current situation at all.

A green rucksack slung over her shoulders, she walked along with Rory, considering the day, the activity, to be pleasant enough, despite their current predicament.
"I like this place," she admitted, with a smile, as she commented upon the park "it feels happy... Nice and green considering this city."

The small bit of a break was nice, free from cleaning duty, although the flight over hadn't been the best on the back of Tambrey's Pidgeot. It was nice to take in the old, familiar scent of the sea instead of dirt and dust.

They had made a spot by his storage locker where he housed the few items he had from home that he hadn't wanted on base for him to retrieve a couple of things before they went off to purchase a few things that they thought they would need.

With a check to his watch to make sure they still had time before they needed to be back, Rory gave a content sigh when he noticed the park ahead of them.

"It's a nice change," he commented, glancing around the landscape, "Feels better here."

With the Torkoal in plain sight, the boy's eyes couldn't have been any brighter, and he immediately kneeled down to the grass to get a better look at it and greet it properly. "Hello, Kronk!"

The torkoal only blinked at him and yawned, but snapped to attention as the Pichu approached it and tapped his head. Jace smiled brightly. "This is Zap, and Zap, this is Kronk!"

Chester stayed a little ways back, fondly watching, but looking up as a pair of humans approached. Realizing one of them was familiar, he lifted a claw to wave at her. "Chaaaar!"

At the greeting his charmander gave, Jace's head lifted and immediately his smile was even wider. "Tabitha!!!"

"I think anything would feel better after our latest trip." Even if no one was close enough, Tambrey was careful to keep the subject vague; still, she was still fond of her usual 'researcher' cover.

She blinked as she caught a familiar voice, though wasn't about to remark on it, before she realised that that was one of her 'cover names'; thankfully it was close enough to her own name that it didn't take her long to recall the fact.

Of course, she had no trouble remembering the name of the little boy who had called 'her name'.
"Ah! Hello! Jace!" She leaned slightly toward Rory, aiming to give him a soft elbow nudge (hoping to convey both that 'Tabitha' shouldn't appear too unusual to them, but also, mostly, with the intention of properly pointing out that this was 'Jace', just like his Charmeleon was named). "It's nice to see you again!"

Rory considered it for a moment before humming; their last 'trip' had been more eventful than anyone would have liked. "Definitely," he agreed as he caught a young voice that seemed to be calling in their direction.

The name threw him off until he felt Tambrey nudge him with her elbow and nodded to let her know he understood. This kid must have been someone she had met before.

The familiar name caused Rory to grin as he quickly glanced over at what must have been the boy's pokemon, noting the Charmander and the Pichu. He gave a small nod of hello to the human Jace.

Rising up off of his knees and hastily brushing away the dirt and grass that clung to his skin, the boy ran toward the couple, pichu in tow behind him as Chester and Kronk stayed as they were. The Charmander had already greeted them and was sure the boy would find some way to drag them all over toward him and the Torkoal anyway. With a smile and a content sigh, the little fire type sat down next to the team's newest member and took the moment to explain who the woman was, as he didn't know the man with her.

Jace stopped a decent distance away and beamed up at the two, looking at Rory with a slightly appraising look, before skipping further greeting--he was too excited, and besides, they had already said hi! "What's up? I'm Jace," he said, extending his hand to the man with her with a laugh as the pichu climbed his shoulder and extended a paw as well. With a giggle, he added, "And this is Zap!"

Aah.. An electric type.
Tambrey felt herself tense just slightly, but, thanks to Thor, she found herself a lot less unsettled by the particular species currently on Jace's shoulder than she might have been.
Cautiously, the smile remained, wavering only slightly and growing as her brain processed the cute position that 'Zap' had taken up.
Her eyes sought out the two fire types not far away, and she realised that the boy had, at least, three pokémon now. She was fairly certain he'd only had the one when they'd met before, but here he was with three and that same enthusiasm- same spark- seemed, so far still to be present.
The Pichu was clearly comfortable with him- it was even mimicking Jace's behaviour, and it looked like Chester and that Torkoal were getting along well too.
She shifted her bag a little, a half formed idea creeping a little further in her mind, while she watched the boy introduce himself.
"Hello Zap." She greeted, then looked between Rory and Jace; well, if Jace was introducing himself, then it was probably best that Rory did; besides, she'd used a false name that she'd chosen herself; probably best she left that up to Rory too.

Rory smiled at the boy's enthusiasm, though didn't miss the way Tambrey tensed up beside him at the sight of the small Pichu. Curiously, he wondered if the shoulder was a comfortable spot for them to sit considering his own Pichu enjoyed sitting and occasionally sleeping in that spot when he could.

He shook 'Zap's' tiny paw first before shaking Jace's outstretched hand. "Nice to meet you, Jace," he had to keep from snickering and questioned if it was too soon to bring the Charmeleon out. "I'm Xander."

Zap shook 'Xander's' hand, trilling a soft "Piiiiiiiichu!" at both humans before it settled against the boy's neck again, content with the greeting, its eyes bright as it watched them.

Jace beamed. "Xander... cool! Nice to meet you! What are you guys, doing? Is Octavia with you again? And Treestar?" he asked Tambrey, his energy radiating into the Pichu who seemed just as excited to see whatever he was looking forward to as he was. "Oh! Yeah, and I caught a Torkoal!"

'Xander', huh... Tambrey managed to keep a straight face but she felt quite a bit like laughing at the name Rory'd given out. Why Xander of all names?

Thankfully Jace provided her with a new topic, or several, to process through. Well, she'd let Rory answer 'what they were doing' maybe (she was sure he was aware of her usual cover stories), and gave a little nod, pointing two fingers to her belt, where Octavia and Treestar were situated in their balls. Pygi's ball sat alongside them as well as Ella's.
"Yes, I'll let them out to play in a moment, if you think Chester, Zap and... your Torkoal?" She didn't have a name there "might enjoy that?"
She was sure they could take a short amount of time for that; besides, it gave her a little more time to see what the boy's team was like, and give more assurance to the idea in her head. She smiled "It's impressive; three pokémon already?"

Rory glanced over at Tambrey and relaxed; he would have to explain the use of the name to her later.

"Nice to meet you, too, Jace," he nodded to the boy, smiling as the Pichu settled down. Both boy and pokemon seemed to be beaming with excitement; it was good for them. "We're just here to take a break and relax for a bit. Let the pokemon play." He motioned to where he had his own pokeballs attached on his belt; Pinkie, Thor, Koschei, and his own Jace respectfully.

He let Tambrey take over the rest of the conversation as he watched the boy and the pokemon that already belonged to him. The enthusiasm radiating off of them reminded him of when he had first started out, though if he guessed right, he had been older than this boy was.

Jace's eyes followed the man's gesture to the balls on his belt, his eyes lighting up at their supposed reason for being in the park, his excitement only furthered by Tambrey's promise to let them out to play with his own little team. Her question earned a quick nod, and a bright smile as she seemed unsure about the Torkoal's name. "Yeah, they like other pokemon! And that's Kronk! I just caught him!' he explained, beaming with pride. "And yeah!!! It's half a team already! And they're all awesome!" Needless to say, the boy was excited, though only one of the three had he actually had to battle for. Zap had joined without hesitation, and Chester had been given to him as a gift from his parents. The Torkoal had been added easily enough, but had no connection to him beforehand.

With the same bright expression, he looked back to Rory. "What kind of pokemon do you have?" he inquired, obviously very curious.

"Kronk?" Tambrey giggled a little. "That's a wonderful name." She complimented, and then nodded, allowing both Treestar and Octavia out.
"Jace says his pokémon won't mind playing with you if you want, so you two go and have fun for a little bit, okay?" She indicated the boy, and then his nearby pokémon to the grass and fire types.
Both greeted Jace; with a shy snort from one, and a happy sounding cry from the other.

She still had other pokéballs- Pygi's and Ella's- but chose to keep them in for now; Pygi was resting before the flight back, and Ella... Well, with the idea forming in her head, she wanted Ella nearby for the moment.

Rory chuckled at the boy's excitement as Tambrey let Octavia and Treestar out of their balls. "I've got a Pichu and a Charmeleon."

At least those were the two that he had brought and was willing to let out of their balls. Koschei wasn't the most stable pokemon and Pinkie was too recognizable.

Pressing the buttons on the respective balls, Thor and Jace were turned loose beside him, the Pichu scurrying up his arm, towards his shoulder while the Charmeleon glanced the boy and the other pokemon over.
