Welcome to Gold City! It is a large place, full of casinos, a boardwalk, clubs, etc. Plenty of creatures live there, and there is a ton of gang violence. The two biggest gangs are the Pale Ape Syndicate and the Reptilian Mafia.

The Pale Ape Syndicate aims to eradicate the gang problem once and for all, and create a safer city, while also being power-crazy egomaniacs. They are called pale apes because they have white fur. They are basically humanoid as well.

The Reptilian Mafia aims to completely dominate the city. They do not care if there are gangs at all, but the gangs will always have to pay tribute to them. They also eat their enemies. They look like... humanoid reptiles pretty much.

You can join either gang, or start your own! This RP can have anything from heists to bake sales, if you really want to have a bake sale. The dons of both gangs are unknown, but I may include them in the RP at some point. Unless of course you want to be the leader of one of them, just ask me if that's the case.

You can post a short profile if you'd like, or a picture. If you don't, I'll just assume you are your avatar.

And no god-modding, unless you feel like fighting NPCs or mugging them or something, I'm not here to judge. I'm not very good with rules. Try to take the RP seriously, even though the apes and reptiles might make that difficult.

There is no specific time period, it can range from modern day to futuristic. And the city is surrounded by a huge desert.

Edit: Also, positions like mayor and police chief etc. are probably available, just ask.

The police in the city are more or less cyborgs as well. They are also very corrupt and in bed with the two major gangs.

Randy Jenkins stood outside a pirate-themed casino owned by the Reptilians. He was currently lighting a blunt with his lightsaber. He inhaled deeply as he turned off the lightsaber, putting it away.
Just then, a reptilian thug bumped into him, causing him to cough out the smoke. He looked at the Reptilian and shouted.

"Hey! Watch it buddy!"

The rep turned around and glared at Randy.

"I'm not your buddy! I don't pal around with monkies!"

The rep spat on the ground.

"Monkey? Who are you calling a monkey? Do I have white fur?"

The rep laughed.

"Have you looked in the mirror? It's all over your face!"

Randy couldn't take it anymore.

"THAT'S IT!"

He tackled the rep to the ground and began punching him in the face with his armored fists. It went on for about a minute until two Reptilian security guards pulled Randy off and put him in handcuffs. The beaten rep was on the ground, a bloody mess.

Randy sighed and talked to the guards.

"Do you really think these cuffs will hold me?"

He said, as they fell off. The guards weren't very well built for reptilians, and Randy just kind of bashed their heads together and walked away, continuing to smoke his blunt.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.User ImageSerendipity literally means "happy accident". While Serendipity Anne Moore never saw the happy part of the the accident that was her existence, she was quite aware of the accident part of her unhappy existence. The result of a highly frowned upon affair between a reptilian woman and an ape man, she was always isolated from her peers as a child. After being attacked by a small gang of reptiles in high school, causing a permanent scar on her right eye, she became cold to the world. Now 21 years old, Serendipity earns her paycheck at an underground strip club in Gold City and spends her free time loosing that paycheck at the local casinos and bars. She lives in a small studio apartment in the worst part of town and lives a very lonely, hateful existence.

Serendipity leaned against a brick wall, taking a short smoke break before returning to work. She held the cigarette to her lips, took a long breath, and then slowly exhaled, letting the smoke drift out of her mouth. She looked to her left to see a mess of scales and blood with a man walking away, smoking his blunt. Not an unusual site for this area of town, but she kept her eye open anyways in case any violence was turned toward her. A rain drop fell and put out her cigarette. "s**t." She muttered to herself.

As it started to rain, Randy's blunt went out as well. As it rained more, it also wiped the reptile blood off of his gauntlets. To solve the blunt problem, he took out a lighter which had a purple flame, and re-lit it. He noticed the woman whose cigarette went out as well, and kindly kept the flame lit while moving his hand towards her.

Serendipity looked down at the lighter being held toward her. She muttered "thanks" to the stranger and lit her cigarette, proceeding to take a slow drag right after. She looked up toward the sky and let the rain fall on the golden scales lining her face and her pure white curls. She took another drag and blew the smoke upwards. "The boss will kill me if I mess up my make-up." She thought and quickly lowered her head, staring at the puddles forming on the cracked side-walk.

Randy nodded, putting his lighter away. He took another deep inhale, walked away from Serendipity, and blew a bunch of smoke out. He then went back over to her.

"Where do you work?"

Instead of blatantly asking if she was a stripper, or asking what she does, asking the location of her job was the best thing to do.

The elf, having examined the city for some time, decided that showing what she actually looked like would be a bad idea, and so went Incognito, looking almost human, before wandering in. She still stuck out, since she shed the rain, not even getting damp, but at least she looked more human than the elf she truly was. If she had to, then yes, she'd change back to her normal form, but for now, looking human was fine, despite the reptiles and apes that had to have been experiments gone haywire. "Crazy mortals." She muttered, wandering this way and that, not paying much attention to the people around her.

Serendipity nodded beside her toward the small staircase going down to a rusted, metal door. The walls down to the door were brick and the concrete stairs were littered with cigarette butts and broken glass. "Down those stairs at Ranaldo's ." She replied, taking a slow drag and exhaling before continuing. " Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 2 to 10." She gave a wink and a tight smile, something the boss had told her to do when talking about her job. "The more customers you bring in, the more money you make. I'd start warming up to the idea of being a little seductive, sweetheart." She remembered Ranaldo saying to her during her first week. "Give me a little smile and a wink, we'll start there." He had said. Serendipity tried, but even she knew how awkward and forced it looked. Ranaldo took a drag from his cigar and then places it in his ash tray. "We'll work on it." Serendipity took another drag and blew it down the street. As the smoke in front of her eyes cleared, she saw a woman walking. She seemed impatient and bothered by the people around her. Something seemed odd about her to Serendipity. She squinted her eyes at her, but still couldn't quite place it.

Oroborne was from an ancient clan known as the "Worm Fists." He was a battle born warrior, quite fierce in his time. He has the usual strengths of an Orc. Keen sense of smell and taste. His hearing was once great, but now suffers from an old battle he fought with his friend Randy Jenkins, the inter-dimensional traveler. At first they were not friends, but when this traveler shared his sacred herb with him, they grew to be brothers in arms. Through the old arcane ways of the Orc's, Oroborne is able to travel through portals with Randy, like a sort of piggy back. Unfortunately, every time one of these jumps happens, the Orc lands somewhere randomly a mile or so away.

A large crash in the middle of some unfamiliar street made car alarms scream and people scurry. The Orc picked himself up and cradled his face in one hand, while reaching into his pocket with the other. A pained face befell him. In an angry tone of voice, he growled. "That son of a-." He checked his other pockets to no avail. "He nabbed my blunt. AGAIN!" Fumes were falling from Orc's nose. He wiped his armor clean from the filth and slightly fresh blood that had been on the ground. It wasn't his. He lifted his head into the air, and began sniffing the musk of the city around him. Randy was here. He better not jump without me this time. I always appear up high and have to fall on my face. My blunt better not be smoked.

Serendipity finished her cigarette. She dropped it on the ground and leaned against the wall, closing her eyes and enjoying the last few minutes of her break. Right when she started to feel relaxed, she was pulled out of her peaceful state by the sound of car sirens and yelling. She opened her eyes and looked around, a strange man was brushing himself off. "What on Earth..." She said partly to herself and partly to the stranger beside her.

The Incognito elf shook her head slightly at the ruckus. Mortals and their need to have their toys make noise...
An Orc. She hadn't seen one in a good while, but that last one she'd traded stories with, since they had been traveling together. This seemed to be a different Orc clan, though, a more aggressive one. She made a mental note to not tangle with this one, even if she was her normal self.

"Oh, okay."

Randy said to Serendipity, also noticing the other woman walking by. He noticed something slightly different about her, but was completely cut off from that train of thought when he heard the car crash. He looked over and saw Oroborne, and started laughing. He took out a really fat blunt, different from the one he had in his mouth. He shouted over to the orc.

"Hey! Looking for this? You could have called!"

He was halfway done with the blunt he had in his mouth anyway.

After pulling himself together in a more composed state, he took notice to Randy. He was talking to a, snfffff, working girl of some sort. He quickly started to pace towards them, and his future fix, when he noticed an oddity. Even for this place. He wasn't sure where, but he could of sworn he caught a scent that has long evaded his presence. An elf? Strange times indeed. He stopped abruptly three feet from the duo and cocked up a brow.

"Randy?" Oroborne asked in a coy tune.
