Despite bitter temperatures and inhospitable weather, it wasn't really prudent to go for too long without spending some time out training, so it seemed that in the winter months, all one could do was hope for a sunny day every now and then. After a morning of various errands, he'd offered his afternoon to Rosie, suggesting that they take some time to let their pokemon get their necessary exercise. Having spent a few productive hours just outside the town, the afternoon was beginning to fade into evening, and Luke turned his gaze from his pokemon to the reddening sky and voiced his observation, "Looks like it's starting to get dark..."

One could always be grateful to fire types, ones like Pastin who's flames reached father arias if he so wished it, in his galloping and training had by now melted much of the snow that he and his team mates had been training on.
that was bound to freeze over again as the sun set, but for the time being Pastin seemed rather proud of himself.

Vahy'n was not arguing either, as she had spent much of her time using the melted snow to her own advantage as a water type, though the cold was much quicker to catch up with her, leaving her more reluctant to wander far from the warmth of the fire types.

Her breath came out in short heavy puffs as the Vaporeon watched the movements of her partner, especially in relation to where the others were, though with a perk of the fins along her head she glanced around at the trainers standing in the snow, catching what Luke had said about it getting dark.
Golden eyes blinked once, before shifting toward to horizon.
Coiling her tail out from under her the water type pushed herself to her paws.

"Yeah it is." Rosie made note, looking up as well "We should probably wrap up soon." She commented, looking toward her pokemon then paused as she saw Vahy’n run past them and toward a stretch of trees standing isolated from the group.
“Wha- Vahy’n!” Rosie called, cupping her mouth. “Where are you going?” but the Vaporeon didn't stop.

In accordance with Rosie's suggestion, he recalled his team into their pokeballs, leaving out his only fire-type and the mirage-like Mew - the latter of the two had been unseen for the majority of their time out that afternoon. Luke looked to Vahy'n as she started off and to Rosie as she called after her Vaporeon, moving to pursue the water-type. "I'll check it out. Mieu, wait here with Rosie, okay?" Without awaiting a response, he ventured into the brush, his teal Flareon obediently, if not anxiously, moving over to Rosie and seating himself at her feet.

Vahy'n had not responded to Rosie's call, but before she could move to try and follow Luke had said he would go and was off before Rosie could say anything more.
She blinked in surprise, watching as he too moved out of sight after Vahy'n

"... That's odd." the girl admitted, looking down at Mieu as he stepped over to her, and crouching down next to him to pet his fluffy head.

Vahy'n slipped easily through the snow covered brush, fins twitching to shake off any snow that clung to her body, and slowing her pace once she was out of sight to an elegant trot.

Mieu sat restlessly, appreciating the pet on his head but still uncomfortable in the absence of his trainer. His tail waved back and forth rhythmically, and before long, he stood, took a few steps forward, and turned to look at Rosie impatiently. The Flareon then started into the forested area himself, following the rough trail Luke's passage had beaten through the underbrush and expecting Rosie to follow.

Mieu seemed much more anxious now that Luke wasn't there, something that was now very common for the Flareon, Luke wasn't gone very long though before Mieu when on after the humans, bringing Rosie back to her feet.
"Oh, Mieu-" She said, and hurried after the fire type, Pastin not far behind her with a curious nicker.
What was going on? "Mieu, come back-"

Mieu neither stopped nor fell back to answer Rosie's call, instead forging forward and disappearing into the darkening trees.

As if in response to the winter evening's rapid approach, a soft light glowed from the branch of one of the trees: a white tea light with a quiet amber flame, suspended upon a circle of metal linked to the tree by a light chain. Though there was no sign of the individuals who had disappeared into the foliage earlier, there was the faint light of another of the little candles looming a ways ahead.

Rosie tried to keep up through the snow, but soon found herself loosing sight of the teal and white Flareon, she called out to him once more in an attempt to get him to stop before she fell quiet looking around for where Mieu went, before she noticed something that seemed a little out of place.
her breath coming out in puffs of cooled air, Rosie furrowed her brow curiously, stepping toward the small light, and noticing another continuing on into the forest.
Glancing back at Pastin who stepped up behind her with a light breath, looking back to the second light she moved toward it, glancing around.

The tree line wasn't especially dense - a simple natural barrier between the city and its outskirts - and the series of hanging lights didn't create a particularly long trail before the foliage gave way and Camphoreon proper became plainly visible. Rosie would be greeted on the other side by the large, domed building that was the city's planetarium, and while the facility's sign clearly stated that it had just recently closed, the door was left ajar, another of the tea lights bound to its handle and the faintest hints of music escaping from within.

Rosie paused as she stepped out of the trees, looking first to the city that loomed out from the wilderness.
the path of tea lights though was not hard to pick back up again, she wasn't sure if they would end there, but sure enough there was another, hanging from the door of the building she recognized as the planetarium.
quietly making her way toward it glancing around the darkening aria as she went, wondering if she would spot Luke, or one of the eons.
"Luke?" She spoke, peering into the doorway before stepping in "hello?"

The planetarium itself responded to Rosie's call, it's empty, dark interior suddenly aglow with an artificial sunset that was projected onto the rounded ceiling. The sound system usually used to narrate the story of the night sky instead played a soft piano melody. At the center of the amphitheater stood a tall, plain black rectangle that served as a pedestal, presenting a modest bouquet of pink and white flowers arranged in a slender glass vase.

Slowly she advanced, glancing back at Pastin who's size kept him from entering the building much further, she waved for him to wait as well, knowing that sometimes large Pokemon in a building could damage something if it wasn't built for them.
But she was so curious about what was going on, taking in little details at a time as she looked around the room, for any sign of what was going on, and where Luke might have gone too.

Gloved hands moved to her face as she walked into the room, and softly playing piano from the speakers, eyes drifted to the flowers on the table, then back around the room.

The piano could be assumed to be of Luke's performance, for as she entered the room to investigate further, it was his voice that joined the melody to add lyrics to the song.

Here you are
daylight star
made out of miracles

Perfection of your own
you alone
oh, so incredible

It carried on as she moved towards the flowers, even as all the lights in the planetarium abruptly turned to darkness.

She could recognize Luke anywhere, and as the lyrics reached her she had no question anymore that this might have been his doing.
with a little gasp as the lights turned off Rosie stopped walking so she wouldn't trip on anything. just standing in the darkness with just Luke's music, and the lyrics that were already taking her breath away and moving her to tears, her hands still over half her face.

A light touch was brought to Rosie's arm, and the room slowly and dimly illuminated as the projector filled the artificial sky with stars, their collective light revealing that Luke had appeared at her side. His features soft, he extended a waiting hand in offer, "I've owed you a dance for a while. I thought I'd make it a memorable one."
