[PRP] Seethe

Though her mask had held during the time she spent arranging things with the man at the Center, it immediately began to fall apart as Dove stepped outside and onto the run down streets as the cold hit her in the face. Sparky remained out and by her side as she briskly started her journey back home.

All of that, and for nothing, and the location, only a reminder of something else she might lose in this. Near tears again and her heart racing painfully in her chest, she finally resorted to calling Thierry out of his ball and recalling Sparky to his, her course now changed for the beach.

Strong young hooves raced across the sand, pounding against the earth as she attempted to blow off steam, failing desperately in her endeavor. The beach and its waters brought back too many memories, each more striking than the last, and further panicked, she directed the Rapidash back to her home, blinking away tears as she made her way up the stairs and knocked on her own door, hoping he would be awake to open it before she could find her key.

He had been sleeping as evidenced by the black pajama pants he wore, but while she was gone Yuri had awoken and found the girl missing. While he wasn't that concerned, he stayed up just in case and helped himself to leftovers in the fridge.

Thus the knock got his attention and upon opening the door he blinked in silent confusion with a spoon hanging out of his mouth and a bowl of curry in hand. He then stepped aside to allow her entrance into her own apartment that for done reason she hadn't done herself.

Emotional, frustrated, and not far from a fit of panic, the girl stepped into the room, throwing aside her bag and immediately burying her face in the man's chest, her arms going around him as soon as she was through the door.

Without much warning, Yuri found himself being clung to for a reason he didn't know. There was a look of surprise before a resigned sigh as he felt some of the curry on his torso. Great.

"Um..."

Yeah this was a little awkward.

Her eyes widened, and she stepped back, her face flushed and eyes wet as she too, suddenly found the contents of his bowl on her front. "Damn it...!" she swore quietly, brushing it off of her sweater and onto the floor before stripping the sweater off over her head and chucking it across the room as she made her way to the kitchen for a towel. She would return quickly, mopping it carefully from Yuri's middle before bending to clean up the floor, then returning the towel to the kitchen sink and staying there, gripping its edges, now not only frustrated and upset, but clearly embarrassed as well. "I'm sorry..."

"I got it, I got it," Yuri said as she tried to clean him up along with herself.

After getting a towel and cleaning the rest of the curry off, he reached around Dove to place the bowl and spoon in the sink.

"Don't worry about it," he said to her apology. It wasn't that big of a deal.

"You okay?"

She stared at the metal of the sink as though it were offending her in the most horrific way, then closed her eyes, trying to control her somewhat heavy breathing. More swears ran through her head as he came nearer and she shook her head. "No. I'm an idiot."

Standing up straight behind her, Yuri put a hand on his hip as an amused look crossed his face.

"C'mon we all have our dumb moments. Can't be that bad."

"No," she countered immediately, though quietly. "Not like this."

Yuri blinked.

"Uh okay... So I guess this is serious."

He paused, not sure if he should ask or if he wanted to.

"Actually you have been acting kind of weird lately. What's going on?"  

[Tori Honoo]

She took a deep breath, clearly hesitant and distressed. She had to tell him. She knew she had to tell him. Every right...he had every right...

She shook her head, grabbing desperately for something. "I had a fight with a-- friend. A-About home."  

[BlackPidgeot]

"Oh..." Was all that Yuri had to say to that.

He knew very little about her life at home and the friends she had.

So really he didn't know what to say.

She shook her head again, then bowed toward the sink again, tears now dripping freely. She was hiding things from him, right in front of his face. Turning her back on him, literally.

"There is no fixing it... and I should have known that before I called him," she recited, her words calculated, but true, nonetheless.

Yuri sighed a little as he saw the tears and she turned away, his arms folding across his chest.

"Yeah well, friends aren't akeays forever. Sometimes you've gotta let 'em go."
