The Character's In the Story
Name: Libelle
Element: Water
Background Story: There is a village that lives between the sea and a lake. Aster grew up there , her father leaving their family when she was a mere child. For times she thought only the selfish deeds of people, but eventually found a close friend. There she befriended a girl who moved into the village. Ever since she moved here the village that strived on fishing began to grow poor. The fish roamed the waters of salt and fresh, but they seemed to of stopped biting. What could of caused it? Natural explanations lead to Aster's friend, Juniper. Juniper's family was poor, and the blame of their family was becoming a burden. Juniper was a beautiful girl, Aster even believed so, she was lucky enough that another family wanted her wedded to their son. Juniper met him, he seemed nice enough, but she didn't want this so suddenly in her life. Aster saw the burdens she was carrying and offered to help her run away with her to a distant land. They agreed, and fled along the shore during the night. Tragedy came though, as the tides rose high and a flood rushed into the village. Aster survived, but Juniper went missing. Many thought the worst, but amazingly Juniper was found alive. She was different though, very unresponsive in anything and hasn't spoken a word since. Luckily the man that wished to married her turned out to of loved her no matter, though he worried for her everyday. Aster saw this and figured this was best for Juniper in the end, but sought help beyond for someone to help Juniper. A doctor came and investigated her, as well as the area. The conclusion came that Juniper was infected by an aquatic creature that normally travels in large groups along the surface of the water. When separated they take refuge inside of dead animals until they can return to reproduce. Juniper had died in that flood, but the parasite that infected her kept her body going as it did. The reality became hard to accept that many were faced with such a thing (which explains all the fish that weren't biting). To what attracted the creatures to this place is unknown. Aster went to reconcile with Juniper's husband before leaving from her village. As she was leaving along the shore of the night again she found Juniper's husband wandering the shore with that familiar dead look in his eyes just as Juniper had. She had has no will to return back to the nicknamed Village of the Strung-ed (the parasites look like lengthy, very thin worms, which re-animate corpses and keep them from decomposing and performing the basic animal instincts.)
