And I'm convinced there's no way to win switch'em without shelling out for GC...

Switch'em music also sounds like a bad porn track...

I am really begining to hate Switch 'Em.

First time it came out for Thanksgiving, I got over level 17 with NO problems. I got all the items that were promised if I did indeed reach that level.

The one time (Christmas?) it was so messed up; half the time people couldn't get past level 11. Not only that it didn't give points past three groups. cat_burning_eyes

Actually, it did.
One of the programmers explained it.
The system knew all the matches that were going to happen after you made your move (since it doesn't merely decide at random, it actually knows what tiles will fall for some several lines beforehand) and added all the points at once instead of after every group.
Lessened load on the servers or something while they were enhancing code, or something like that.
But I had a bug during that one where the game would randomly decide to reset my board but not my moves or would send me back to level one with no warning after I made a chain.
And then this most recent one I got to a point on a board where I had no moves left but it didn't give me a game over notice, just left me to stare frustratedly at the board for over an hour because I was convinced I must be missing something.
I stopped playing after that, none of the holiday items were wearable by animals anyway (The feck was up with that crap? They make animal bases and only rarely release equivalent grants for the animals, LAME.) and I don't intend to go back to a human anytime soon.

Oh? I never noticed my point count go up exponentially, and I would get 8+ matches that fell on their own. It only SOMETIMES went up at the end.
I had the bug of not resetting board AND moves once. Talk about irritating.
I pretty much hated the Easter items this year.
All of them pretty much.

I'm still convinced they rigged switchem so you can't beat it without using GC. >>
