I'm sure you've already noticed that there have not been many updates lately. I've realized over the past few months that I really don't have much interest in Gaia anymore. I have decided that this will be my last year on the site.
So where does that leave the CGI?I have tried to keep certain threads updated as far as making posts for certain items, but I haven't had the desire to actual put the information in. If anyone would like to be made a crew member and take over doing that, let me know and I will happily promote you.
However, I think I have a solution that would work much better. Several years ago, I started tinkering around with a
wiki for the items. Because you can categorize items in so many ways, it would make searching and organizing so much easier. Also, since anyone can contribute, there is no need for a guild and crew, and even after I take my leave, it can continue to grow.
I've got the basics set up already, and some pages for almost every category to show how it will look. Take a look and see what you think. I'd love some input from folks who actually use the guild and might make use of the
wiki. I've been kicking around the idea of paying for contributions as well (as a way to use up my gold before I go). I have several item lists that I can upload as a way of keeping track if what still needs to be done, so we should be able to catch everything.
Please take a look and post any ideas you may have regarding the
wiki and the guild.
