The Horseman
Name: Svardkell Otkelson (See-vard-kell Oot-kel-son)(oot as in boot)
Nicknames: Svard(See-vard). Or Kell.
Gender: Male
Age: Mental age of 20, though his physical age is much older.
Original Clan:Death
Job Role: [ Jewelcrafter - Death ]: Jewelcrafters have the unique capability of manipulating Fear-imbued gemstones and matter and giving them a stronger power. They also are well versed in metal smithing and weapon crafting, combining their abilities together to create strong Fear-powered weapons, tokens of blessings, and specifically, accessories, Omens, that empower various areas of Fear. Their priority is armoury, to create armour and craft trinkets that will help protect their clan. They can also harvest Fear and embue it into their items.
He was an Ashen soldier once upon a time, but now he prefers to craft instead of kill. Less chance of the berserker getting out!- I do realize that I will need to take the Job Quest.
Personality:
Quiet: Svardkell is normally a quiet man. He likes things pristine, elegant, quiet... things like winter... Mess, loud or annoying sounds irritate him.
Rigid: Everything must have it's place. Things that don't belong or distort things around them are the worst in his opinion. He judges based upon first meetings and does not give second chances. To change is to lose (in his mind) so he dislikes to change his ways or methods. Because his people now live in a place they do not belong (they belong back home!) he is feeling very off kilter and unsure. Not that he'll show it, but he feels it.
The Coming of the Tower:
With the tower as their new base, Svarkell feel's no longer out of place. His people have a home once more. It's not the old home, but perhaps it feels... right to him. Well, all except the distortion and the weird red ugly thing where a fountain should be. That is... upsetting to him.
Methodical: Svard prefers to do things by the book, following a set procedure and get things done slowly. Efficiently and effectively is his motto. He's a little disgruntled by all the changes, but winter storms come quick and fast so he's used to things happening fast. Doesn't mean he likes it. He prefers a steady and slow to moderate pace so changes makes him grumpy. Having to do things in a rush is irritating. Things like surprises that could've been avoided anger him. People doing things in the wrong order, or by the seat of their pants also annoys him. There's a way to do things so why are people messing around? It it isn't broken don't fix it.... He does his best to rise above the annoyances... but sometimes he can't resist making snide comments, looking down upon others, or snapping and yelling at them. Creating a mess can drive him into a fury, acting by the seat of your pants is merely irritating. Mess is a no-no. He likes things in their places.
Stately: He acts this way most of the time. Always sit up tall and straight. Walk proudly with shoulders back and head up. Be proud of who you are and your work. Your work reflects upon you so if it's messy.. well you must be a mess. He believes, utterly and absolutely believes, in Death and the Priestess. He is... wary of Medea. His leader (Death) has.. changed, isn't what he used to be. Is this good? Is it bad? He doesn't know. But for now he will wait and watch. And hope things can be returned and the crazy lady that likes the ugly red glowing crystal will stop being crazy.
Proud: Svard is a proud man, he dislikes being looked down upon, being questioned, being mocked. He is proud of his work, whether it be something he made, a task he performed or a sparring session. As a crafter of weapons, he strives for perfection and is disgusted when he falls short of is goals. A weapon needs to be at its best so the user can count upon it.
Berserk: Despite all his attempts to be aloof and calm, he's got the blood of a berserker in him. He cannot help but love the thrill of battle; the blood, the screams, the action. He is still quiet even in battle: he makes no sound, only a feral grin of berserk thrill showing his love of death and war. He has a nasty habit of going berserk in fights (real or sparring...). When he gets mad, he gets really mad and there's always a chance of going berserk. Berserk means he lives for the fight, he won't recognize friend from foe and just wants to fight and see blood. But.. he's ashamed of this. Here he wants to be quiet and respectable.. and yet he goes wild when mad! The whole berserk thing is kinda embarrassing.... He won't apologize for it, but he'll feel awkward when others bring it and the effects up.
- He had been an Ashen soldier in the past, but when he found he couldn't control himself, he requested to be taken on as a Jewelcrafter, where he would not be harming his fellows (he hopes) nor interfering with the collection of Fear, as a raging person does not collect fear... though they can generate a lot. Plus his rigid ways made him... not the best at being a soldier. But his perfectionist and rigid ways are useful when crafting!
Hatred of Hunters: Hunters took away his home, they displaced his people, they made a mess of things. He despises them. Loathes their very existence. Want to send him into a frothing berserk rage? Be a hunter, an ally of hunters, tell him Hunters aren't so bad... He dislikes/despises all humans, but won't harm them unless they are Hunters.
Extra: Svard loves to carve, sit by a fire, eat some meat, drink some apple cider... He cannot hold alcohol... AT ALL!
He also feel cold a lot, hence the heavy gear even though it's not really winter outside. His rooms will always have a fire going when he's in them, even when it's warm outside.
Mount Form: A very pale brown Elk. Male cause it needs antlers!
Drat no moose *sighs*
If allowed (new changes to guide): Wears only a simple blanket with geometric designs in blue and white under a simplistic saddle. Light chains with bones and keys hanging upon them cling to the saddle and bridle. (The keys are like they ones that hang from his outfit) Antlers have the chain/key decor as well.
Weapon Form: Weapon came with art: A Scythe with a twisted wooden staff and a blade that looks like ice. The bottom has a lantern hanging from it as well as some keys. A banner flies near the top.
Fear Manifestation: (There's that bit in the guide about the fear, distortion crystal and tat markings...Not sure if we should choose it here but hey, might as well!)
He will end up with Confidence.
FEAR ATTACK:
Supportive: The Bite. Name of Attack; Ice Drain (cause it sounds cool?)
Through his training and work, Svardkell has learned how to better manipulate Fear. He prefers to use his scythe as the focus and drain Fear from others through that, but he can steal Fear to heal himself so long as he can touch them with his hands or any item he's used on a daily basis. (Like those keys he always has on him, or his work tools.) When he does drain away some Fear, it leaves behind a chill where the hand/weapon/tool hit.
Physical Description:
Tanned skin, with slightly darker markings along his cheeks. Tall and broad, his frame is covered in leather armor and furs: blues, browns and whites. A greats fur trimmed blue mantle hangs from his shoulders. He is covered from the shoulders down, the only skin showing is his face. He has blue antlers that crown his head, they spring from the blue crown with a skull attached to it. Ribbons tie some more keys to the skull and crown.
About his waist is a thick belt to which more keys hang from and two sprint like things are chained to.
Eye Colour: Dark blue
Hair Colour/Style: A mane of wavy brown locks.
Skin Colour: Tanned
Clothing Style/Colours: A winter theme warrior clad in leather and fur with keys hanging from his belt. Heavy cloth and fur, with boots, gloves and a long mantle. Blue and brown leathers and furs with white cloth.
Extra: He likes keys! And winter. -Ahem- Those horns aren't real, they are attached to his hat. He just likes antlers is all...
