S U S P E N S I O N.

Some friends of mine at a local body piercing and tattoo shop I hang around a lot hold suspension shows at a club near us. Here are some of their photos.

Feel free to post photos of your suspension experiences or friends who've tried it. How do you feel about suspension? Is it something you'd be willing to take part of? Why or why not?

Its something I have looked into quite a bit, but still do not know too much about. But I sure would love to give it a shot if there was a place around me that did it, and would let me give it a try.

closest sus. group to me is in nashville....and im going to a tattoo/horror movie convetion hosted by them later today. yay!

i'd totally be willing to go see it, but i wouldn't ever do it because:
1. i don't have nearly enough piercings to do it
2. i don't want the holes to stretch and bleed real rank (i'm a baby)
and
3. i just wouldn't want to, but i'd watch other people do it for sure~

What does the number of piercings you have have anything to do with suspension?


I've thought about the subject some. It seems like a really interesting experience. Though, right now I'd say no to doing it. I won't completely mark it off my list of things I'll do, but right now, it's not for me. I'm still young. I have time to decide later.

Suspension is something that's amazed me since I was really little.
I'm still a complete baby though and will probably never go any farther with that love for it.
I wish there was a spot around here that some people practiced it.
Definately will have to finally bring it up at the local shop.

My favorite shop in the area hasn't hosted a suspension in years, and their APP piercer moved to TN. sad

I'd mos def consider it, but I'd really need some serious gumption.

Those are some tall shoes. eek

I'd definitley consider it, later on. Most of my friends freak out at the idea, which is a little rational I guess. "Why would you do such a thing?! No, please don't do thattt." Yaknow, the typical. But I'd definitley look into it.

Pain is relative my dear.


But be warned, if you DO suspend, you need to take extremely good care of your body at least 4 weeks prior to suspension.
Eating right, exercising, etc. Just getting your body prepared for what's to come.
Some people can only suspend 10 minutes, others can hang for 2+ hours.
It's a very spiritual experience but also dangerous if you do not take the proper precautions.

Im going to a vampirefreaks hosted suspension party in a few weeks, its me first so im excited to see the stuff up close
Ive considered doing it in the future, but yea gotta explore all bases first

im not to crazy about it, but i've meet some people at tattoo conventions who do it for spiritual purposes.. it would be a learning experience if i actually got the chance to see how it is done before my eyes 3nodding
