"Ahhh- look guys, horses!!" Danny had her face glued to the window, completely enamored with the surrounding landscape. Every time there was an animal, Danny would find a way to let everyone know that there was animal. It was very important.
They were currently in a tiny compartment, squished up very nicely on a train going to the middle of a large expanse of plains. Nobody really came out to this part of Halloween, as it was largely wildlands that couldn't be used anymore. Occasionally the train would pass a broken-down barn or a small village, but it was, for the most part, empty.
Today was the day that they were finally going to explore that dumb old castle Rikki had found. Danny had been (initially) not very happy because the train ride was long and she didn't like sitting still, but now it was relatively entertaining since there were a lot of sights to keep her busy. "Do you guys think there's gonna be snacks there?" Danny could go for some snacks. At the moment, she had very meager supplies packed into a small backpack which was strapped to her back (it had been quite the hassle getting it around her wings, even with Rikki's help).
She looked around the circle of people they'd gathered and smiled. This was going to be fun! Even if it began with a long train ride!
[ ask dhs if you guys have questions im running off to work ]

West wasn't suffering from motion sickness, nor did he particularly care that one third of the people in their small, probably flammable car were on fire, though that hadn't prevented him from spending twenty minutes or so devising a personal escape plan. The demon had agreed to accompany Danny and her boilfriend on this adventure because he was curious, not only about Rikki's castle, but about the strange, cryptic map he had found as well. He had been putting off further investigation—even though getting ready to move into a house of his own was certainly a valid reason to stall—but the time would come when he would have to clear up the wrathy mysteries he'd uncovered or die in the attempt. Helping the flame demon was a good way to see if he was ready. Or at least that was his excuse.
He had occupied himself with staring out of the window for a time after they had departed, but he'd been rather bored for quite a while now, and it was starting to show.
"You gonna puke, kid?" he asked, narrowing his eyes at Andrew. "Y'do it anywhere near me, an' you'll be out there gettin' trampled by her damned horses."

Well if out was what they wanted, out was what they were going to get.
The entire train cart began to shake and then haulted all at once, shooting everyone to their right about 10 feet. That meant the poor grandma too. She and the cart both trembled and collapsed, flying down the hallway and out of sight. At least she was a ghost she she could phase right through things.
The booth members were not so lucky. Those on the left side of the train (Taima, Andrew and West) were thrown onto those on the right (Danny, Rikki and Shun), and Shun's face was smashed right into the window. Hopefully Andrew kept his lunch in.
The train had, inevitably crashed. All windows and doors immediately popped open for a timely exit, and passengers were quickly escorted down the stairs and off the damaged cart via flying monster (or their own wings, if they had them).
Outside of the train crash, people were scurrying to and fro, all shouting about how THE TRAIN WAS CURSED (which was both an ironic and practical thing to say, considering they were in Halloween). If one examined the front of the train, it would very much look like they had crashed right into an invisible wall. The conductors were prodding said invisible wall, all scratching their heads, completely unaware of what might have caused it. They'd crashed right by a lakeside, luckily near a very small fishing village, which sat on the side of a lake. In the distance was a set of foothills, with a small forest surrounding an enormous castle, one that looked very much decrepit and ancient, but still had a sort of whimsical charm to it.
"KINGSHILL CASTLE. ANYBODY HERE GOIN' TO KINGSHILL CASTLE?" A man was screaming on the lakeside. He looked old and somewhat worn down.
"Aw, a'int nobody goin' to ol' Kingshill, Baron! That place's been abandoned for years."
"Isn't that where we're going?" Danny asked Rikki. She honestly wasn't sure anymore. "You guys okay?" she asked the others. For the most part, she was doing alright, but her wings were a little torn up. Nothing worth fussing over though. She was more worried about Taima with her big a** wings.
