Four special kids come into very unique abilities, and are drawn together to defend themselves from the Collectors. It began one stormy morning on the way to school, when each of them are struck by a strangely colored light. Two hours later, and they were exhibiting these abilities. By the time school ended, their lives were never going to be the same. Each of them are hunted, and captured by the Collectors, and find themselves locked away together in a laboratory... Even when they escape, they are being hunted every step of the way as they try to find their way home.

We will start on the morning they are struck by the strange light. They each have their own perspective as their abilities are discovered throughout the school day, and captured after school/on the way home.
Boy 1 - SixSteelStrings
Name - Roy Keller Age - 19 Ability - Geokinesis Good Traits x- Wise, though you wouldn't know it by looking at him. x- Very helpful towards others, even to those he doesn't know x- Easy-going Bad Traits x- A bit naive, his generous nature has gotten him in trouble a few times. x- Cause of how he carries himself people tend to look down on him. x- Very disorganized Short biographical descrip - Roy was the kind of person that despite being very smart never let it show. The youngest brother of two Roy had a habit of somehow making friends with the wrong kind of people, much to the chagrin of his family. Because of this his relationship with his family is strained and often gets into trouble with the law. Soon Roy built up a reputation around school that made some of the other students wary of him, although he was lot more kind than his friends.
Boy 2 - DragonChild09
Name - Alex Tsukino Age - 18 Ability - Video Manipulation (based off of Infamous) Good Traits x- Technologically advanced x- Strategic x- Stealth Bad Traits x- Social anxiety/awkwardness x- Trust issues due to bullying x- Gets mad easily at certain topics Short biographical description - Alex lives in a house with his father, who started heavy drinking after Alex's mother passed away when he was six. After a few beatings from his drunken father, Alex started the habit of only being in his room when he was home. He doesn't have friends and gave up trying to befriend anyone, since most people tend to bully him. This lead him to joining online communities, mostly mmo's. Once he had received his powers he started spending a good chunk of his time trying to figure them out, but to the world outside his room, the powers remained a secret. Occasionally he would mess around a bit with it during school, since no one ever talked to him, and when they did it was just another bully.
Girl 1 - Tigerlvr_Bailey
Name -Arissa Church Age -Eighteen Ability -Telekinesis Good Traits x-Kind once she gets to know you. x-Resourceful, though she denies it when brought to attention. x-Loyal to those she considers friends, seeing as she doesn't have many. Bad Traits x-Masochistic/depressed x-Tends to be harsh towards others (until she decides she trust you). She feels unworthy of being around "good" people. x-Is terrified of her new power, and due to her rocky mental state, has a hard time controlling it. Short biographical descrip -Arissa comes from the kind of neighborhood that you wouldn't think twice about walking down the street. However, she lives with her mother, and an abusive stepfather who takes out all of his frustrations on her. Even her mother has begun to verbally abuse her, since the marriage. Arissa tries to find ways to escape the terrors of her home life with different drugs, and has very few friends. She is almost always seen alone aside from the odd classmate that may strike up a conversation with her.
Girl 2 - loth17
Name - Rosie Davis Age - Eighteen Ability - Rosie's ability is called giant's armor. It is the ability to envelope herself in an aura of massive size that serves to protect her and destroy her enemies. In the beginning Rosie can only summon up a single skeletal arm of lesser size as the full ability takes much skill and endurance to use.
Rosie's second ability is called phase. This allows her spiritual armor to selectively ignore solid object while interacting with others. She could send an arm past a wall and manipulate something on the other end. This power can not effect objects or people affected by anyone else's powers unless that person stops using their power. Good Traits x- Cool under pressure. x- Good analytical skills. x- Exercises daily. Bad Traits x- Bad at reading the emotions of others. x- Gets easily corrupted by power. x- Can be a very harsh person twords people who question her. Short biographical description - Rosie was born into a very high class family and enjoyed the good things in life. She wanted for very little but did not interact with people at all. Rosie was always a very quiet child due to the fact that she couldn't understand people that well. Rosie always had her head in a book and rarely talked to the few people who interacted with her. Being mocked for her height only worsened her social situation. Eventually Rosie learned how to mock back. Now Rosie is not often messed with.

Arissa shut the front door quietly as she left for school so that she would not wake her stepfather on the couch. She had her backpack slung over one shoulder, and her arms wrapped tightly around herself. Careful to step on all of the cracks in the sidewalk, she made her way to the bus stop. The street was empty right now, she had left earlier than she needed to to be out of the house before her parents were awake.
Suddenly, there was a blinding flash of light. Lighting? It was stormy out, but the light didn't seem like lightning, and there was no accompaniment of thunder. The light held a greenish glow, and seemed to have lingered longer than ordinary lightning. Arissa wasn't sure what to make of it, but she decided she was simply being paranoid, and continued on the last few feet to the bus stop.

Today was a good day for Rosie. She had started it with a nice breakfast, a good look at the morning paper, and a last check to make sure her homework was done. On her way to the bus, however, Rosie found herself struck with a bright light. When her vision returned to her Rosie didn't feel any different and there were no marks on her. "That was...Odd." She said to herself as she neared the bus station. When she finally made it she saw the usual assortment of people. Of particular interest was the Church girl. Rosie's father had warned her about the Church's. Saying they were all violent drug fiends. As Rosie past by the shorter girl she buried her head in a book to avoid attention.

Arissa waited at the bus stop, seated on the curb, a slip of cardboard under her. She watched the other students slowly float in as the time for school grew nearer and nearer. One girl- Rosie? Arissa was pretty sure they had a class together... - stared at her awkwardly as she approached the stop, quickly burying her face and "acting natural" as she passed by. Arissa wondered if the parents of their neighborhood were telling stories again. She knew her stepfather's tantrums could probably wake the dead if he was worked up enough...
Arissa sighed and dropped her head into her hands, elbows propped on her knees, ignoring the damp ground under her. This was why she preferred to just avoid contact altogether. Arissa knew, however, that nobody in the school knew about her own battle with drug abuse, they all just pointed fingers a her stepfather. But she was sure they all had some idea of her treatment. She often appeared with a bruise or two to show, though she tried to cover what she could by wearing long-sleeved sweaters and her hair down.

Roy headed out the door backpack in tow. The gloomy sky didn't help Roy's drowsiness much as he lazily walked to the bus stop. Lost in his thoughts Roy was brought back by a sudden flash light "What the hell?" he covered his eyes "alright whose the wise guy with the flash-" Roy moved his hand and looked around to see no one "light? okay?" he said puzzled. Roy shrugged and chalked the light up to a random flash of lightning he joined the growing crowd of students gathering at the bus stop. Roy scanned the crowd and saw some familiar faces.

Finally, after what seemed like ages, the bus rolled up to the curb. Not soon enough... Arissa thought, hurrying to grab her things and make her way to the back of the bus. She had begun to feel anxious. As though all eyes were on her. She knew it was silly, but people with something to hide always felt a bit paranoid that everyone knew their secret, and that girl from her class had set off Arissa's paranoia for sure. She dropped her bag into a seat and squished herself as close to the window as she could, as though she could phase back through and not have to sit on this crowded bus with these people she didn't care about.

Rosie entered into the bus and saw that it was very crowded. There were so few places to sit and all of them would have her sit next to a person. Rosie sighed. Why did she constantly have to interact with people. As she thought almost all the remaining seats got taken. Except one with a bag on it. A bag that happened to be owned by the Church girl. "Excuse me." Rosie said to Arissa. "May I sit here?" Rosie would normally try to avoid contact with anyone but the situation had forced her hand.

Roy walked onto and migrated to the back. He sat with a couple of friends who were hellbent on making the already noisy bus ride even louder. Roy shook off sleepiness and joined in the raucous behavior annoying almost everyone on board. Him and his friends weren't very well liked during the morning bus ride, even less so when they actually got to school. As the drive went Roy started to feel a bit off, for some odd reason he felt heavier but passed it off as some lingering sleepiness.

"Oh.. Um... Yes, of course.." Arissa mumbled in response to Rosie. She quickly pulled her bag onto her lap and squished even closer to the window than she already was. With each stop, the group in the back seemed to get louder and louder. Arissa couldn't help but throw a dirty, sleepy look at them about halfway through the ride. She was beginning to develop a major headache, and they certainly were not helping.

Arissa felt her stomach drop when Rosie seemed about to speak, she just wanted to sit quietly, but what Rosie said caught her completely off-guard. Her head snapped up. "You too?" She asked in shock. "I just assumed I was imagining it..." Arissa was speaking very quietly, trying not to draw attention to their strange conversation. Her head seemed to pound more and more and the bus seemed to get louder every foot closer to the school it got. She attributed the headache to not having smoked anything before school. Her body was so used to the drugs she used to escape her home life being in her system. She wondered if she should ditch first period and try to fix the problem...

That caught Arissa's attention too. Maybe her headache wasn't a withdrawl headache... "Yeah, my head sort of hurts..." Then she jabbed her thumb in the direction of the kids in the very back of the bus. "And they certainly aren't helping much.." She grumbled. She wasn't really a morning person to begin with, and the noise in addition to her headache was making her cranky. By now, her head felt like it was going to explode, but she could see the school coming up at the end of the street now. She couldn't wait to get off this big metal trap.

"They are rather disruptive." Rosie agreed. She then turned to Arissa. "Lets hope whatever happened to us wasn't something bad. Like radiation or something like that. Would not want my flesh melting off." Rosie laughed a bit at her morbid humor.
