Hello anyone, you probably have not heard from me around here in a very long time.
Anyway, I'd like to RP here again and as of late I've really wanted to do a Gundam RP. I'm not necessarily limited to which kind either so just let me know. I've already got a story set in the UC timeline (after Unicorn), I can work with Gundam Wing, G Gundam, Gundam Build Fighters and even dance around the SEED universe.
I know nothing of AGE, I will not do 00 or G Reco.
if you have no idea what I just said but are interested in mechs anyway just chime in I guess.
Good day.
[I know interest in gundam is somewhat limited here on gaia hence the interest check]

I am honestly surprised I got a reply. Hello. How extensive is your knowledge? Or maybe more appropriately do you have a favorite gundam? Because I could talk about this forever.

I don't really have a favorite, but I do favor 00 gundam. I've pretty much explored every corner of the wiki since I rediscovered gundam, but I've only completed a few series. There's actually a gundam guild that's currently becoming active again, though it's based on SEED. Interested? Also I'm watching the original gundam right now to check it off my list XD

Uh...well, I am going to be blunt about this, I'm rather picky when it comes to gundam (both stories and design). I won't disparage anyone for what they like, 00 and SEED, not really my thing personally xD The only part of SEED that I'm partial to is Stargazer, which I assume isn't really taken into consideration in the guild. And the original is good, I like the two sequels to it a bit better just for writing and overall quality (which is just a matter of them being made later). And then Unicorn is amazing, if you ever get a chance to work your way through UC.

I've watched G gundam, 00, SEED, GSD, 00, AGE, Unicorn, and Wing for the animes, 0080, 0083, 08th MS team and GS: SG OVAs, but I still find 00 as a favorite of mine. Probably just the designs and GN particles. ((I mean come on, THIS looks just looks epic)) I'm running the only RP that's active in the guild, and I've taken in all the tried and true technology from the anime and OVA, although the storytelling is pretty much going to be up to the rest of the players mostly. I'd be more than happy to explain it in detail though.

I'm going to do you the favor of not telling you what I think of GN particles xD I'm a fan of real-type mechs so the side stories: 08th MS team, 0083 and even non-animated stuff like Sentinel is more to my liking. That said, I do love G Gundam...a lot. Feel free to shoot me a PM about that. I don't mind continuing this conversation here but I'm curious if anyone else will respond.

I like either real or super robot genres, but do get peeved when one starts dipping into another, although I can't really argue against the plot device that is the GN drive/particle. It's not likely anyone in a guild for fantasy, romance and action would dip into a sci-fi rp, but there may be one or two besides me. Outside of the guild, the most you'll find is SEED or 00 guilds. I'm not too big a fan of SEED, but the rest of the world is so *shrug* You get what you can. There are a few full gundam/real-robot guilds, I just didn't see any active when I last checked.

GN particles...are a thing. This guild was pretty multi-genre back in the day, I was just putting it out there. The title of the guild says words but it at one point encompassed pretty much everything. And I'm well aware that SEED and 00 are by far the more popular series in terms of general internet peoples (in groups of gundam lovers specifically the popular titles can shift) and I know I'm doomed to my own sort of obscurity. And like I said before, I know there aren't many serious gundam fans on gaia and gaia itself is pretty slow, so I wasn't really getting my hopes up.

I have some friends on here that like the UC gundams more if you're looking for more gundam fans.

Possibly *spoken cautiously* and I am sorry I don't share your love of 00, it just is what it is.

It's fine, not everyone likes 00, but I'm not gonna hold it against you or condemn you for it. I like all the Gundams (G gundam not so much although it's honorary for the first gundam I remember...), although I like 00 a bit more than others. Turn A was interesting through the episodes I saw, but I gotta finish it after Zeta.

Like I said, I'm picky, but I have my reasons. And I don't have a problem keeping those reasons to myself to spare others xD The latter half of Zeta gets really good. Things get more interesting when the characters from Mobile Suit Gundam show up...at least that's how I felt. I honestly haven't seen any Turn A, I just know there's a mustache and cross-dressing involved. And in terms of favorites 0083 really stands out to me (no surprise with my username) because the animation quality I feel really holds up well and the combat scenes are some of my favorite in mech anime.

I've gotten about halfway with Zeta, but stopped for school and hadn't returned. Turn A is definitely interesting, and its director is the same as all the UC gundam series except the OVAs. It's meant to connect each universe of Gundam before SEED was released, although there's a lot more character debates and relations going on through it imo.
