Ten thousand years ago...
Our city was magnificent, once the most technologically advanced human society to have ever existed. Magic and technology existed in harmony, and the people lived in peace. It was the closest that humanity had ever been to utopia. That time in history ended the night that fire fell from the sky.
Soon after that night, crystal fragments were discovered scattered all across the land. They possessed amazing magical might, and the people of our city used them to bolster their own power. What we didn't know was that those crystals unlocked the darkness within our hearts. Our once happy people became violent, fights broke out, and eventually it escalated to war. When the darkness completely consumed one's soul, they would transform into horrible monsters, mirroring the darkness that had overtaken them.
As the darkness continued to further consume us, it became apparent that something was causing our degradation. That was when we discovered him, but by then it was too late. The creature called itself Ithreal. He had become as powerful as a god by feeding on our corrupted souls. Nothing we did could stop him. However, two warriors untainted by the darkness came forward. Together, they were able to face Ithreal, defeat him, and seal him away within a secret place.
The era of Atlantis was over. Though humanity was able to survive, the seeds of darkness had been planted. We knew eventually, Ithreal would break free of his restraints, and we can only hope that when he does, there will be someone strong enough to stop him.
Present Day....
This is where you come in. You are a seemingly normal person, living life as best you can. That is until one night you have a dream. Well, not really a dream, more like a vision of the war between Ithreal and the two unnamed warriors. After that dream, you begin to notice weird things. You can do things you had never imagined. Monsters you thought were fake begin to appear around you, some want to help you, while most want you dead.
Eventually you will learn that the seal holding the Demon God, Ithreal, is weaking, and his influence in the world is slowly getting stronger. It will be your job to fight the darkness that is growing by the day. Together, you will overcome horrific challenges, endure sacrifice and agony. But if the world is to survive, you two must defeat Ithreal, once and for all. This is your destiny, whether you choose to accept it or not.
Quote: Looking for someone that is semi-literate, will be able to post around once or twice a day, and enjoy lots of fight scenes and some romance. I play male only but will accept either m/f or m/m relationship. This RP is reopened as my potential RP partner has lost interest.

Name: Syrena Eliza Avalon Alias: Rena Age: 25 Sex: Female Appearance: Skills: Strategics/Analyzing situations, Utilization of speed/acrobatics, Playing the piano, Drawing and painting Powers: Light Energy - Syrena is capable of manipulating energy from the light. It can be anything that holds light to it, whether it is electricity, fire, or sunlight/moonlight. The more light that there is present, the more powerful her attacks will be. She can use this energy for other things as well, such as forming temporary shields, flight, and healing the wounds of others. However, she cannot heal herself at all unless it is for the most minor of cuts, and the more severe the wound is for the other person, the longer it will be for her to heal them. Although Syrena can generate her own light energy if she is in total darkness, doing that is also more draining.
Dark Energy - Syrena's control over light or darkness constantly switch. It is not possible for her to manipulate both at the same time, usually. While her light energy can be used for things such as healing, the dark energy is the opposite. Dark energy is mainly used purely for destructive purposes. However, she is also able to use it to create temporary illusions or to become invisible for short periods of time. The more darkness or shadows that there are a present, the more powerful that the energy will be. Although her dark energy attacks are stronger typically, they are also much more draining than those of light energy.
Special Techniques: Strike of Dawn- Syrena uses a large amount of energy stored from the sun and moon, and then channels it into a massive attack. It creates a single blast that can be shot forwards either in a wave-like motion for increased width, or in a beam for more concentrated power. The downside of this attack is that it cannot go into multiple directions at once and can only be shot directly forwards. [Locked]
Rein of Darkness- A massive swirl of dark energy and shadows will gather around the entire area of where Syrena is standing, forming a massive dome-like shape between around her and her opponent. The shadows will then suddenly close in from all directions around the opponent, completely consuming them into dark energy. However, she cannot move at all while she generates this attack. [Locked]
Eclipse- This attack represents one of the rare times that both light and dark energy find an even balance, to result in extreme amounts of damage. In the palm of her left hand, an orb of dark energy will begin to gather, while in the palm of her other hand, an orb of light energy will gather. The orbs will both twist together and shoot forwards in a massive blast of pure energy. The light energy has the ability to incinerate whatever it in it's path, while the dark energy can rip things to shreds. At the same time, two large swords will float above wherever the opponent is standing. One sword is made purely from the shadows while the other is made from light, however both swords will strike the opponent at the same time as the energy blast. This destructive attack requires an immense amount of focus to preform. Any loss of that focus may result in a possible explosion that could kill not only her opponent, but her as well. [Locked]
Weapons: Syrena's main weapons are her two swords. One sword radiates with dark energy while the other radiates with light energy. She also has four throwing knives.
Other: She cannot control both light and darkness at the same time except on rare occasions. Whichever of the two energy types she controls can be dependent on many factors, such as the temperature, time of day, and even her mood. Syrena also has a total soft spot in her heart when it comes to animals. DragonSlayer Arcos OOC: Hopefully this character bio is all okay. You can make the first post if you'd like.

Shayne Allan McGarrett Make a promise to me now, Reassure my heart somehow, That the love that I fee, is so much more real than anything. I've a feeling in my soul, And I pray that I'm not wrong, That the life I have now, it is only the beginning.
Sam felt the freezing rain soaking through his shirt as he walked through the barren streets on his way home from work. It was near Halloween, and there were signs of the approaching holiday everywhere. Streamers and costumed mannequins in all the shop displays, houses decorated with "scary" monsters and witches. If only they knew. Since Sam had that weird dream, he had been able to see things that he couldn't before. Things that made him think he had gone crazy at first.
The very first strange event was when he was walking down the down the sidewalk, and bumped into someone on accident. The man had been irritated and turned to Sam to give him a piece of his mind, that was when Sam had seem the man change. His face morphed into what could only be described as a wolf's and his body had grown taller and more muscular, along with body hair sprouting all over his exposed skin within an instant. Sam had screamed and ran away.
Shortly after that, Sam had discovered his first element, fire. He was being ganged up on by thugs, when in desperation, he had called out for help with his mind, and the fire answered. The thugs had scattered, and Sam had started to wonder if he was truly crazy, or if something had happened to him. However, ever since his fire had fire appeared, monsters have been tracking him at every chance they got.
Thus Sam wasn't surprised to hear footsteps behind him on the deserted sidewalk. It was late at night, and the streetlamps offered little help in the downpour. Sam stopped, and a moment later the footsteps behind him stopped as well. "So I guess you're here to try and kill me like all the others have been trying to do?" Sam asked, turning around to face his follower. The figure before Sam was tall and muscular, with a black trench coat wrapped snugly around his body. A black brimmed hat rested upon his head, which was tilted just enough to obscure his face, though mist escaped in great puffs each time he breathed. The man lifted his head, and only his irises could be seen, glowing a bright yellow, betraying the feral nature of his kind. "I won't just try, I will kill you, kid. Then I will enjoy tearing the meat from your bones as my next meal." The man said, his voice guttural and carrying a heavy scent of iron even through the rain.

The city street remained in darkness, all except for a faint silver glow on the pavement from a single streetlamp. As storm clouds moved to obscure the sky, there came a sudden flash of lightning. Syrena was sure that the top of the building that she was perched on, certainly wasn't the safest place for her to be at a time like this. Using a fire escape, she swiftly descended down until she landed lightly on her feet in a nearby alleyway.
Two months had passed since Syrena had been released from prison. She could recall every detail of the instance that had gotten her there in the first place clearly in her mind. It all began on the night that she had the dream. Syrena had not been able to see things the same way since then. They were things that had made her parents believe she'd gone crazy when she first told them, such as when she mentioned seeing the monsters to them. Her behavior was a disgrace to her family, or so she'd been told.
It wasn't until the night that Syrena visited her father's company building that everything had changed. She had visited the building after closing hours, out of hoping to get some time to rest her mind, trying to escape from the visions of monsters that haunted her. However, that was when Syrena had felt a strange source of uprising energy within her from all her various emotions. Next thing she knew, all the lights in the room sparked with electricity and the building was blazing with flames. There had been no causalities, but her father's renowned building was completely burnt down. After being labeled as an arsonist in court, that was when she'd been sent to jail.
Now that it seemed her parents wanted nothing to do with her, Syrena was living a life of solitude, in a salvaged room of an abandoned hotel. Although the visions of monsters had grown less frequent, they still occurred every now and then. Half of her still believed she was crazy, while the other half of her knew deep down that the visions were a reality. Either way, in the two months that Syrena on her own, she'd occupied herself by training with her swords.
She wore a black hood that obscured the delicate features of her face from view and shielded it from the rain. The only thing visible from her now was the faint glow of her violet eyes in the moonlight, and the silvery white sheen of her hair. Syrena adjusted the strap of where her swords were and began to make her way home in the rain. Although weapons were not a necessity to someone with a life of comfort, like that of her luxurious former lifestyle, being on the streets had made her grow much more paranoid of her surroundings.
In the distance, Syrena could see two figures up ahead. The silhouette of one was wearing a trench coat and a brimmed hat. Instinctively, a mass of shadows began to beckon towards Syrena and gather behind her figure, as if in a protective sense. This was something that she couldn't control even if she wanted to, which was why she was thankful that no one else was around, except for the two in the distance. However, Syrena's intuition gave her the strange sense that something wasn't right. She knew that running away would draw too much attention to her presence, since that would result in the sudden sound of footsteps. Instead, Syrena moved closer by a few inches as though to get a better view of the situation. She was careful to keep silent and remained in a defensive crouching position. Syrena slowly reached behind her with both hands and gripped the hilts of her swords, just in case she'd have use for them. Meanwhile, a dark energy seemed to radiate from her figure. The energy was not vibrant in any means, and was able to camouflage against the rest of the shadowy street environment to remain unnoticeable. Syrena kept a close eye on the situation in front of her. Her best guess was that the male in the brimmed hat was perhaps a thug, while the other male was an innocent pedestrian.

Sam didn't respond to the bait the man had issue, instead he remained still, his eyes keen on the creature before him. The sound of rain splashing down around them muted slightly as his awareness became solely focused on his opponent. Thunder rumbled above, and a strange sensation resonated through Sam's body in response, though he didn't understand what had just happened. In the blink of an eye, the man had closed the distance between himself and Sam, in his hand was a black knife that seemed to radiate a red aura of power around it. If Sam had even wasted any time to think about a reaction, the man would have stabbed him through the heart without a chance to defend himself.
However, Sam didn't think, he let his body move, and leaned backwards away from the man, as the momentum carried him ever further backwards, Sam threw his arms past his head and a moment later they made contact with the ground. At the same time, Sam loosed a kick to the hand that held the knife, successfully dislodging the man's grip upon it. Finishing the movement, Sam flipped over once more, to land lightly on his feet, arms raised in a defensive position and his feet light on the ground like that of a professional boxer. "Really? A knife? You thought it would be simple?" Sam mocked, a wicked grin on his face.
The man didn't say anything, but he held out his right hand in front of him, and another knife materialized from thin air. Shoot, Seems like he's a Maker of some sort., Sam thought, referring to the how he'd nicknamed the creatures that could create objects at will. A moment later the knife was flung through the air, and Sam just barely managed to dodge it, but he had fallen into the trap. The man had used the diversion to close the distance between himself and Sam, and he used that opportunity to strike out with his fist, slamming it into Sam's jaw and sending him flying backwards several feet.
Same landed on his back, stunned as flecks of black and red blossomed over his eyes. He couldn't draw in a breath for several seconds, which scared him considerably, but finally he was able to breath again. Coughing violently, and wheezing in a couple deep breaths, Sam slowly got to his feet, blood trickling down his face from a torn lip. His opponent had remained where he had punched Sam, apparently not interested in fighting a defenseless man. "Nice one. But now I'm in a bad mood." Sam said, and fire ignited around his fists. The fire was blue and gold, and illuminated the dreary area much better. Now he could see the man clearly, and what he was. "So, you're a Vampire huh? Haven't seen many of you people lately."

Syrena had began to turn away from the situation. The last thing she needed was another reason to get thrown in jail again. But as soon as lightning flashed through the sky, she froze in place. Somehow, Syrena felt more energized. The dark energy that had began to gather behind her soon switched into light energy. It was a certain vibrant energy that was similar to moonlight, one that seemed to softly radiate across her smooth ivory skin, creating a strange glow. If Syrena wasn't visible before, she knew that now she definitely would be.
As Syrena turned back around to face the situation, a momentary look of shock passed through her gaze. Clearly, the man in the brimmed hat certainly wasn't a human, but Syrena had never seen one of these creatures openly attack someone before. Although this worried her, it also gave her the affirmation that she hadn't been crazy after all. The monsters were all real, just like she'd originally thought. The glowing knife was another thing that caught her attention. Clearly this was no ordinary weapon.
As the other male moved to fight back, this was another thing that surprised Syrena. She had originally assumed that he was merely just another pedestrian on the street, but it seemed that he could fight too. However, that was not what caught her attention the most. It was the fire that ignited from his hands. "No way..." Syrena whispered to herself in shock. Could it be that I'm not the only one with powers? After spending several months in jail, she had waited a long time for an opportunity like this, to get more answers to the situation she was in. This was something that Syrena wasn't about to turn away from. After forming a strategy in her mind, she broke into a swift run.
During the same instant, Syrena began to manipulate fragments of light in such a way that created two identical copies of herself. Both of the clones ran beside Syrena, mimicking her exact movements. It would be impossible to tell which Syrena was the real one, unless one of the copies got hit. She did not yet speak to the other male and instead focused on the plan that she had in mind, though she was sure that he was up to something as well with the fire in his hands. I wasn't even aware vampires existed, but then again it's not like anyone else is either, Syrena thought to herself curiously after she overheard what the blonde-haired male had said.
The first copy of Syrena rushed towards the vampire with an extended sword, to distract him. The second copy of herself rushed towards the vampire in the opposite direction, while preforming the exact same action. It was then that the real Syrena channeled a blast of light from the palm of her hand. She aimed it in front of the man's eyes, hoping to temporarily blind him for a brief instant. Syrena was already anticipating that he would try to strike at her. In another swift movement, she ducked closer to the ground and drew out both her swords. Syrena slashed them in an overlapping motion towards where the man's leg was. After preforming the action, she moved backwards in a leap to possibly put some more distance between her and the vampire.
With both her swords extended outwards in front of her with both hands, Syrena quickly gazed over her shoulder at the other male. "What the hell have I gotten myself into..." She mumbled to herself with an annoyed sigh, shaking her head. "So that hideous thing over there is a vampire then."

Sam waited for the vampire to make a move, but out of the corner of his eye, he saw movement. He was a decent fighter, easily a match for most anything in a fair contest with one opponent against another. But when it came to multiple assailants, Sam had difficulty dividing his attentions effectively. He didn't expect a three identical girls to jump out of the shadows, at attack the vampire head on. The monster couldn't do anything, and was first blasted in the face with what looked like light magic, then was sliced by the same girl with a cross-slash across one of his legs.
The vampire screamed, and struck out, but the girl had already gotten to a safe distance. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Sam shouted, but his attention was returned to the vampire as its screamed turned into a feral roar. Its yellow eyes glowed brighter and the sound of breaking bones could be heard in the air. The vampire's skin turned transparent, revealing the muscles and black veins underneath, as the whites of his eyes turned black. Claws erupted from its hands in spurts of blood, as its teeth shifted into a full mouth of razor sharp fangs. The transformation over, the vampire roared again, and a scary looking scythe appeared in its hand.
The vampire ran towards the girl, the injury on its leg completely healed, and weapon ready to slice the woman in half. Sam didn't know what to do, so he threw his hands out in front of him and channeled the fire into a stream. It flashed through the air, and slammed into the vampire making it stumble. The scythe however managed to slice effortlessly through the trunk of a tree, but the tree didn't fall. Instead it died and turned to dust within an instant. "Don't let him cut you!" Sam shouted. He threw more fire at the creature, but it wasn't doing anything except making it angrier. The beast roared, and charged towards Sam, weapon ready for a kill.

His shout had been something Syrena hadn't been expecting. She looked over at him with a temporary cold expression across the delicate features of her face. "You know, you could at least say thank--" Her words were suddenly cut off by the feral roar that erupted from the vampire. Syrena's attention refocused back towards the creature and what it had morphed into.
As the vampire rushed towards her, Syrena tensed up and raised both her swords. With how fast the creature was moving, she knew that there was no time left to completely dodge the attack. All that Syrena could hope to do was lessen the blow. However once fire flashed through the air and struck the vampire, this gave Syrena the exact window of time that she needed to leap in the opposite direction.
It was then that she began to form another plan to herself quickly. Syrena saw that the vampire had regeneration capabilities, which she had noticed earlier after the the wound on it's leg healed, and now with the fact that the fire didn't seem to be effecting him much. Syrena quickly nodded in response to what the other male had said. In order to avoid being cut, she knew that she would have to attempt long ranged attacks rather than close combat ones.
It was then that Syrena broke into a swift run. She utilized energy from the light to gain a faster speed. While still being careful to not get too close to the vampire, Syrena moved in a half-circle around where he stood. While she ran, she flung three daggers at him. One dagger was aimed at the center of his back, while the other two were aimed towards his sides. Should they hit their mark, her plan was that if the daggers burrowed deep enough into his skin, then perhaps the wounds wouldn't heal. Knowing that it would be unwise to remain standing still, Syrena continued to move in a swift run.

Sam wasn't sure what to do, his fire wasn't having any affect on the vampire, and it seemed to be getting stronger the more enraged it became. When the girl stabbed it with the daggers, the vampire shrieked, and slashed out at the girl, but once again she was already out of his striking range. With deft movements, the vampire pulled the daggers from its sides, and dropped them to the ground, black blood melding into the water was the rain continued to pummel the earth and her inhabitants.
With the daggers out, the wounds were already starting to heal, Sam could see flashed of the exposed wounds through the torn clothes, and within a few minutes the wounds would be gone completely. We need to hurt it in a way it can't regenerate from. Sam realized. And with that, he allowed his flames to go out. What he was going to try was something he had very little experience with, but he was out of options. As the vampire tore after the woman intent on revenge, Sam tried to concentrate, and find the source of his power like he had done when practicing. It was much harder on this occasion, but Sam was still able to find it. A white hot ball of energy spiraled within his soul, and he reached for that energy.
There was resistance, Sam wasn't deterred though, and he kept pushing until the resistance fell away and he was able to grasp the ball of power. Energy rushed through him like a river, and a pale green glow illuminated his entire body. The mental strain of keeping his hold over the energy was already starting to slip, so he knew he couldn't keep this up for long. Visualizing in his head what he wanted to happen, Sam pushed the power out and a small blasted of green energy erupted from his palm. It streaked towards the vampire and slammed into his back before he could respond, passing straight through him like he was made of water, and continued down the street where it collided with a car and exploded violently. The vampire stopped what he was doing and looked down at the hole in his chest, before he collapsed. A few moments later, his skin split apart and red embers floated into the air as the fire consumed his body in seconds, leaving only ash and clothing.
The green aura of energy flickered a couple times before it faded away from Sam's skin. His breathing was ragged, and his vision was swimming. Then he was falling, and he knew only darkness.

From her peripheral vision, she watched as the vampire pulled the daggers out. It's shriek was enough to alert her that her action had only angered it more. Surely there has to be a way to kill that beast, Syrena thought to herself as she continued to move away from it as much as she could. For once, no ideas were coming to mind. In a situation like this, the best option to her seemed to be that of escaping, but then what would become of the other male? Besides, she had never encountered anyone with powers before. Syrena figured that it was possible he could help provide more answers to her, and with those answers maybe she would get the chance to live a normal life again.
She quickly shook her thoughts away and concentrated on the situation. Syrena knew that now was the last moment that she should get distracted. She could sense the vampire chasing her but she did not pause to look back at it. Instead, Syrena did her best to channel her energy towards fragments of light to appear by her feet, utilizing that to propel her away from the vampire at a faster speed. However, although this worked temporarily, soon the effect of extra speed faded away. Syrena could sense the vampire starting to near closer to her with every passing second.
It was then that there was a green glow and a flare of light. Suddenly, the footsteps of the vampire seemed to come to a halt. Syrena slowed down just enough to catch her breath and glanced over her shoulder. She watched as there was another blast of power that streaked clear through the vampire's body before striking a car. It was then that she gazed towards the male, a look of surprise shining in her gaze. How did he manage to do that? Before Syrena had the chance to ask her question aloud, it seemed that the male had collapsed.
"Hey!" She shouted while suddenly dashing over to him. Although Syrena had many questions to ask in the hope that she'd be able to return to her normal life, at the same time she knew she couldn't just leave him there. The strange monsters had always been things Syrena had avoided. It seemed that she had always done her best to remain unnoticed after being released from jail. Seeing as how the car was destroyed, Syrena didn't want to be brought into any sort of questioning if cops were to show up at the scene.
"Looks like I've got no other choice but to bring this stranger with me..." She mumbled to herself with a sigh. For what Syrena had in terms of speed she lacked in terms of overall strength, due to her petite stature. However, Syrena began to manipulate several orbs of light. The orbs appeared underneath where the unconscious male was laying on the ground, and as they floated upwards, they began to gently carry him. After drawing her hood back up over her face and shoving her hands into her pockets, she began to hastily make her way towards the abandoned hotel that she called home, while the orbs of light silently followed behind her.
Once they reached the hotel, Syrena carefully moved past the front gates and locked them behind her. When they were both inside, the orbs of light soon floated over towards a couch and faded away, during the same instant placing him there in that exact spot. Although there was no electricity in the building and several of the rooms were completely dilapidated, at least what would have been the main lobby along with a kitchen and bathroom was still in tact. With the snap of her fingers, Syrena channeled a flare of solar energy to spark flames in the main fireplace of the lobby. A source of heat was something that was much needed on a stormy night as this. "Ah... Home sweet home..." Syrena whispered to herself with a soft sigh as she then headed over to him. She had noticed a slight tear on his lip from earlier when he'd been punched by the vampire.
"I suppose the least I could do is help to fix you up." There was a faint tone of annoyance in her voice, but this was mainly due to the fact that Syrena had always tried to avoid people at all costs. But at the same time, the other more compassionate half of her felt otherwise. Syrena had a feeling that she'd be dead if he hadn't killed the vampire during that single moment, and she knew that she owed him for that. It was then that she extended her hand forwards and knelt beside him, only to then gently rest it against the side of his cheek. From where her hand was touching his face, Syrena closed her eyes and began to focus on allowing a golden light to radiate from the palm of her hand. This certain energy held a strange warmth to it, much like sunlight. It was an energy that was meant to promptly heal, and Syrena knew that directly transferring it over to him like this would help mend any of the injuries that he had.

Shayne Allan McGarrett Make a promise to me now, Reassure my heart somehow, That the love that I fee, is so much more real than anything. I've a feeling in my soul, And I pray that I'm not wrong, That the life I have now, it is only the beginning.
Darkness, that's all there was. Sam drifted for eternity through darkness, his own voice mute and his senses useless in the nothingness around him. Then Sam felt himself falling, and a pinprick of light appeared beneath him, rapidly growing larger by the second. Finally, the light was too bright, and Sam closed his eyes to protect them. After what felt like hours, the light faded away, and Sam opened his eyes.
As he did, he felt the sensation of air rushing past him, could smell smoke in the air, and the cries of agony along with the clanging of steel on steel could be heard. Looking around, Sam realized he was floating over an enormous city, though it was now in ruins. Buildings were ablaze everywhere, the streets were littered with the dead and dying, while the living still fought. Flashes of light could be seen, and great blasts of energy destroyed many in its path. Cries overhead alerted Sam to the presence of great winged monsters that shot by him at great speed, diving into the the streets and wreaking havoc among the combatants.
"What the hell? What is this? Where am I?" Sam whispered to himself, trying to move around, but he couldn't consciously move in any direction. Looking down at the fighters again, Sam could see that many were not human, and were causing great damage to those that were despite the human's best effort.
Then the landscape changed. Sam was over a vast plain, below were two armies, one made of humans, one made of monsters. The monster army was larger, at least twice the size of the human army, but the humans didn't retreat. They charged valiantly towards their certain doom. But Sam wasn't interested in that. He was focused on three individuals. One was huge, easily twenty feet tall, and the most frightening thing Sam had ever seen in his life. The other two seemed to be humans, but something about them seemed familiar...
Then darkness enveloped Sam again, but this time, he felt something change. A strange warmth began to flow through his body, and a few moments later, he felt himself stir. Slowly, he opened his eyes, though everything was blurry. Rubbing his eyes and blinking, Sam's vision cleared and he could see he was inside a room, though it wasn't very bright. Turning his head slightly, he saw a girl next to him, the same one that had been with him out on the street. Her hand was on his cheek, and she looked both irate and worried. Flinching away, Sam sat up on the couch he was on.
"Where am I? How did I get here, and why were you touching me?" Sam asks the girl, not even noticing his lip had been healed.

His sudden awakening had not been something she had been expecting. Syrena quickly drew her hand away from his face and stood up, crossing both her arms. Part of her didn't blame him for reacting this way. Syrena knew that if she was in his situation, she would be acting the same way, perhaps even worse. But at the same time to her dismay, it seemed that he hadn't noticed the fact that she had healed him. The elegant line of her eyebrow arched subtly to form a temporarily irritated expression. However, the look was fleeting and instead Syrena sighed. "You had a cut on your lip from earlier, so I took care of it." She began to explain. The look in her violet eyes briefly grew less cold as she spoke, but after another moment passed, her gaze returned to normal.
Syrena paced back and fourth. This time, a small smirk appeared on her lips. "Welcome to my home by the way. Lovely, isn't it?" There was a note of sarcasm in her smooth soprano voice as she spoke. Syrena knew that living in an abandoned hotel was anything but lovely, however this was simply how she coped with the situation that she was in. "Oh, and I don't recommending going anywhere past the second floor. Any higher than that, and you'll risk having everything collapse." Syrena advised as she then made her way into the kitchen. Soon enough, she brought out a pot of soup and carefully placed it in the fireplace, allowing it to cook.
"I mean... It's not like I was just gonna leave you there. And what if cops had shown up? They probably would have thought I was the one who did that to you and wrecked that car." She said as she sat down in front of the fireplace. Syrena closed her eyes for a moment in thought. The expression on her face suddenly became one that was more gentle. "No one else can see those monsters, huh? I mean, it's not like anyone believes me..." However, Syrena wasn't about to explain her situation and how she'd ended up in jail to someone she had just met, even if a small part of her wanted to. Instead she crossed her arms again in a gesture of indifference and lowered her gaze, in order to seem less vulnerable. It was then that she turned to face him and met his gaze. "I have many questions that I need answered. How come you were able to do all that back there?"
