Name: Celestine “Cele” Demarco
Gender: Female
Age: 29
Height: 5’7”
Dominant Hand: Left
Personal Skills: Celestine is a very skilled carver, and spends a great deal of her time whittling away at wood carvings. Celestine is also highly perceptive, and picks up on many of the on goings among village people without being told what’s going on directly. As for all else, she’s great with a knife in the kitchen, but never ask her to cook. She can hunt and deliver for the village whenever asked, but her cooking is so awful she’s been banned from the kitchens. She’s a proficient swimmer, a mediocre dancer, and has a pretty singing voice though she chooses never to use it.

Combat Skills: Her most skilled weapon choice is knives, as she’s good with both throwing them and handling them in hand to hand. She can take down a full size grizzly with a butter knife, its best not to test her resolve when there are sharp objects nearby.

Fears: The poison in the city is her greatest fear, though certainly not her only one. It’s impossible to outrun the air, so she finds it reasonable to be afraid of the poison, and thus refuses to venture into the city when any amount of poison is in the air. Besides that, she only really fears the dark. Living in the caves can be terrifying at times, but she gets by with homemade candles and extra string lights in her home.

Personality: Celestine can be rather boisterous when it comes to her opinion. With age she’s learned to keep her mouth shut when her opinions are uncalled for, but it’s a hard urge to fight and as she nears the age border for youth representatives she feels her opinions need to be heard more. Other than that she’s usually very rough around the edges. Quick to anger and usually alone, she spends a lot of her time thinking and often has developed strong views on how government and leadership should be run. She doesn’t condone dangerous and unnecessary trips into the city, but that can be a very hypocritical thought of hers as she was one of the first to think of brewing alcohol in the cannery. Hence a lot of her time is spent sitting alone on the hillside over the caves, where the sun lights the world and frees it from darkness while she frequently drinks herself into a stupor. As long as her knife tossing still lands with the handle in her hand, she’s not drunk enough.

Biography: Celestine was born to a large family in Utopia. She grew up with three brothers, two older than herself, and one older sister. She and Lisette, her sister 6 years her senior, slept in the same room growing up, while the three boys slept in the only other bedroom of the house. The place they grew up in was small, so small that their parents set up a cot in the basement to sleep on lying among all the children’s toys. When her younger brother was a baby, they put his crib in the kitchen so that he wouldn’t wake the rest of the house, though that was a short lived concern.

As Celestine can remember, her father died when she was three, only a few weeks after the birth of the youngest boy, August. This sized down their family to six, leaving Celestine’s mother heartbroken and hardly interested in taking care of her children. Lucian, a boy of 11 at the time and the oldest of the family, grew into his father’s role of taking care of and protecting his siblings, so that five years later, when the raids began, it was he who was responsible for making sure they all got out alive. Looking back on it, Lucian had done well to take care of them, and he had done everything he could to evacuate their family at a moment’s notice as he had. The trouble was, not everyone was ready to move when the time came. Hardly a human being anymore, their mother was uncommunicative and refused to move from her bed even with barbarians at their door. No matter how much Lucian and Celestine tried to move her she would not give in to her children’s request. She died that night, trapping August in her arms so none of the older children could take her baby from her.

Their family was down to four before they made it out of the city. Hand in hand, Lucian and Lisette carried eight year old Celestine and ten year old Denton among the mass chaos of evacuation, out to the river valley where they found a system of caves and huddled in them along with other families who cared for the four children. For days they feared for their lives, but as time passed they realized that their lives were at far less risk in the valley than the city. Though Celestine, Lisette, and Denton were too young to be important members of the community, Lucian at 17 was granted every right to aid in the establishment and development of the village. As a well thought and soft spoken young man, Lucian was an inspiration to the younger children, and even at his young age commanded a great deal of respect from older evacuees. He was the leader of the first warehouse run mission, and led two of the only four missions to ever investigate the barricade. On the second of these barricade missions, the Demarco family shrunk once more.

Now 21, Lisette became the head of their family. She was ignorant, stubborn, and inefficient as a parent, so it was only a matter of time before the younger two turned to hating her. She wasn’t a bad person, she tried very hard to take care of them both, but at her age and already well established in the community, Lisette’s head was more on starting a new family than taking care of the one she already had. Already an interest to the boys her age, it only took Lisette a year to go from defending her siblings to married and avoiding them. Of Celestine’s four siblings, Lisette is the only one, to their knowledge, who is still alive. After she moved to another cave in the system, Celestine and Denton were left to their own devices. Of the four, the middle two were the closest, and relied on each other for nearly everything. When she was sixteen, it was Denton who taught Cele to throw knives. On her 20th birthday, he was the one who joined her on her first raid of the warehouse. Even when they were young, it was Denton who taught her to swim, to make the bed, and for what it was worth he tried to teach her to cook, though that lesson never took.

So when it finally happened and he left them, Celestine was heartbroken. She was twenty-two, making a name for herself as an upstanding member of the community, and the two frequently travelled into the city for supplies on an almost weekly basis. It was on one of these trips that things went so terribly wrong. It was in the middle of a heavy rain, before the poison plants had released their gases into the air, though the threat was understandably looming. They were in the hospital, shoveling handfuls upon handfuls of medical tape, bandages, and pills into their packs, when suddenly the rain stopped. Knowing they only had minutes to get out of the city before the poison started to rise, they dropped what they were doing, taking only what they had on them in that moment, and ran for the cannery where they could find spare gas masks and could easily escape by a water path without suffering too strongly from the poison. Somewhere in the run, they were separated, and before Cele knew it she was too far to find any sight of Denton. She tried going back to look for him, but other members of the mission party stopped her, having come out of the cannery themselves to find her. Screaming and calling her brother’s name, the others forced a mask over her mouth and dragged her inside, bolting the door behind them. She never saw Denton again, and it’s assumed he died out on the city streets to the poison, though future searches never found his body.

The years since have left Celestine a bitter adult. After his death, the large space in the cave they occupied was deemed too large for a single person to inhabit, so a village order forced her to open the space to other youths and people with less than safe homes. Still, she doesn’t associate with anyone else who shares the space, and prefers to keep to herself. At 29, she considers herself the only remaining member of her family. Though Lisette remains alive and living nearby with her husband and two children, the girls never speak to one another.

Special Items: A jade necklace Denton recovered from one of the main street shops on their first mission together, and a single copper coin she found upon returning to their childhood home years after the raid.
Family: Mother- Renee Demarco [Deceased at age 39], Father- Oliver Demarco [Deceased at age 36], Older Brother- Lucian Demarco [Deceased at age 24], Older Sister- Lisette Demarco-Trist [Living, age 35, married to Anton Trist with two children], Older Brother-Denton Demarco [MIA, assumed dead at age 24.], younger brother- August Demarco [Deceased at age 5].
Other Relationships: Cele has no real interest in love, and people often consider her too rude or standoffish for friends to approach her.
Home: The cave Celestine lives in is a shared living arrangement. Though originally it was her family’s single cavern home among the inner workings of the linked caves, it now houses many of the parentless youths who are overflow from the village Armory. The cave itself has a hole roughly the size of a bathtub which is typically filled with cold spring water from underground, water which is used for everything from drinking and cooking, to bathing. Most of her belongings are shelved high off the ground in the alcoves carved into the rock walls. Like the other youth who live with her, her bed is a straw cot filled mostly with grass which she keeps on a raised alcove shelf to sleep out of the almost constantly flooded spring water at the floor of the cave. To protect against the cold of the cave she possesses a stack of blankets, all folded at the end of her bed. As for food, Celestine lives off the meals she can get out of her neighbors and the food town hall gives out, when things tend to be precooked.

Username: Tigerlvr_Bailey
Name: Anya Jourdain
Gender: Female
Age: Twenty
Height: 5' 1''
Dominant Hand: Right Handed
Personal Skills: Tinkering, climbing, fixing things[weapons, generators, etc.]
Combat Skills: Anya is good at archery, and slipping into small spaces to get away from things. Not so much with the close-range, but she tries.
Fears: The barbaric race of humans that she has only ever heard about but was not yet old enough to witness, as she was born just after the incident. They are like "the monster under the bed" to Anya. She also has a fear of forming close relationships, although she has a friendly personality.
Personality: Anya is a fairly cheerful girl, despite being an orphan. She enjoys being outside, and is generally very friendly, although this is more on a "common courtesy" level. However, when it comes to things she's trying to fix, or if she's working on her own little project, it's best to shut up and stay out of her way, or she tends to chew you out.
Biography: Anya is sort of a village mechanic. She helps fix up broken weapons and generators that seem to be having problems. She also helps to take care of some of the younger kids as a sort of exchange for being allowed to stay in the Armory. She doesn't remember much about her father, and her mother died right after she was born. She goes on missions into the city whenever she is able, just to try her luck in the junkyard and see what she can bring back to tinker or build with, or to look for things that she might need to help fix up the things in the village. She is good at sliding into small spaces or climbing to get away from creatures lurking around, and is pretty good with a bow, though close-range combat tends to get the best of her.

Anya's biggest weakness is strawberries. If someone were to be able to find her a fresh strawberry, she would be in their debt for the rest of her life.
Special Items: A bow that she tinkered with to fit to her own needs, and a small pouch of little tools. Also she has a pair of goggles that she carries at all times.
Family: Anya's mother and father[Jeanette and Roland Jourdain] both died shortly after Anya was born- which was also just after the attack. Her parents initially survived, and her mother was already pregnant with her at the time. However, since there was not much in the way of medical equipment or sanitary instruments/buildings, Anya's mother died of an infection just after her birth. Her father died when she was six, during a mission to the old city. She has no other living relatives.
Other Relationships: She is pretty friendly towards most people, but has not formed too many close relationships in the village for fear of herself or one of them dying.
Home: Anya is one of the older girls living in the Armory, although she isn't really a child anymore, by this world's standards. She is permitted to stay there since she helps fix up problems with the weaponry. She also helps to care for some of the younger kids. She wants to be able to get out of the crowded armory eventually, but for now she has nowhere else to go, and and so she is appreciative of the roof over her head.

Username: Dreamatic
Name: Angelica Fioretti
Gender: Female
Age: 21
Height: 5'4
Dominant Hand: Ambidextrous
Personal Skills: She has a knowledge of herbal remedies and medical procedures that she learned from her parents. Since Angelica has always taken a liking to reading, mainly informative textbooks, she also has knowledge when it comes to other things such as building or constructing tools from whatever resources are available. She enjoys drawing as well and has become proficient when it comes to making sketches.
Combat Skills: Angelica carries around a gun, four throwing daggers, and two dual swords that she has become proficient in using over the years. When it comes to a fight, due to her petite stature she has learned how to utilize speed over brute strength, and so she is able to move in a fluent, more acrobatic type of way.
Fears: She has a strong fear with having to leave people behind, like she was once forced to do with her family. Because of this, Angelica can be very withdrawn from others at times and more independent. In terms of natural disasters, she has a fear of fires since most of her old home burnt down from one.
Personality: Angelica knows how to keep her calm when it comes to many situations and she prefers to take a more strategic approach rather than reacting purely on impulse. Since her parents were both once doctors, Angelica has a compassionate nature when it comes to interacting with others. Though she can be reserved at times, she knows how to socialize if needed. Angelica enjoys providing help to others, whether that help is healing related or defense related. However, when it comes to developing personal relationships, that is something she struggles with, as she is always faced with the fear of having to leave people behind.
Biography: Angelica came from a small family that lived just outside of the city, and grew up in loving care alongside her parents and her older brother. Although years ago her family was considered wealthy, with the wreckage that had become of society, that was now deemed as meaningless. Although half of their estate has been reduced to wreckage from a fire, they chose to turn what remained of it into a makeshift hospital. Her father had worked as a doctor for as long as she could remember, and her father soon taught these skills to her mother. Due to the scarcity of medicine, her parents not only saved all that they could collect when they made their last ventures into the city, but also learned the art of natural herbal remedies that were used before modern society. Angelica's parents had always rejected the ideals of The Village that medical attention should only be given to a select demographic of people, and they worked independently to try their best to give it to whoever they felt needed it. Her older brother, Nathaniel, had always been the one to seek out supplies and acted as a rescuer. He brought those who were injured back to the estate from within the city, so that her parents could try to heal them. Once Angelica reached the age of seventeen, she was responsible for doing the same tasks as her brother and assisting her parents.

However, Angelica knew that the operation of her parent's makeshift hospital would not be easy. Generosity at a day and age such as this, always came with a price. From morning until nightfall, Angelica and her brother worked side by side gathering whatever food and other resources that they could by traveling into the city. In addition to that, when they went to find those who were injured, they also had to know how to fend for themselves and fight if needed.

Slowly, after years of providing care to the sick and injured, it wasn't long until both her parents retracted one of those sicknesses. At this point, they had exhausted their once massive supply of saved remedies from the hospital, and herbal remedies could only go so far. Left with no other choice out of not wanting to spread their illnesses to their children, her parents told Angelica and Nathaniel to leave them and go to The Village. At this point, Angelica knew that no matter how much she and her brother may have wanted to save their parents, that there nothing else they could do. The only option that they had was to move forwards. Nathaniel however, completely rejected this idea. No matter how much Angelica and her parents tried to persuade him of otherwise, there could be no changing his mind. She did her best to find a remedy to her parent's illness, but it was to no avail. Nathaniel had been the one to always directly stay by their side trying different remedies, but as Angelica had predicted, it only had a negative outcome. Soon her parents passed away and at that point, Nathaniel had retracted the same illness. He now finally understood why their parents had tried to get them both to leave them behind, and Nathaniel told Angelica that this time she should be strong and do that to ensure her survival. With a heavy heart, Angelica headed towards The Village, leaving what remained of her family estate and her brother behind.

Special Items: Angelica carries around three smaller-sized handbooks with her. One is a book that she has used to take note of all the various herbal remedies that she has learned, and areas where those scarce herbs can possibly found. The second book is of medical procedures in general with some information on building things using the available resources. The last book that Angelica has is her own personal sketchbook for her art, and in addition she also wears a ruby necklace that was a gift from her parents.

Family: Her two parents and her brother Nathaniel, both of whom are now deceased
Other Relationships: None yet
Home: Her old home was once a beautiful estate, however half of it was ravished by the fire. In the end, Angelica was forced to leave this home behind anyways, and so she now occupies a small log cabin to herself.

Name: Angela (Angie) Rose

Gender: Female

Age: 25

Height: 5'7"

Dominant Hand: Ambidextrous

Personal Skills: Negotiator, stealthy, thief, medic (no professional training)

Combat Skills: Hand-to-hand fighting, rapid reloading, two-handed pistol efficiency, blade wielding skills

Fears: Unpredictability of people, zombie apocalypse, nuclear holocaust, exhausting food/ammo rations, abandonment

Personality: Defensive and distrustful, compassionate toward the sick and wounded, lover of animals, aching inside for companionship, skiddish yet unafraid to face controversies head-on

Biography: Angela and her twin sister Marie grew up in a typical, middle-class, suburban home with two very loving, supportive parents who tried to create a relatively stable home life for their offspring. Despite their parents considering themselves too old for children and the world too bleak for their upbringing, they became pregnant with (surprise!) twins. The twins were born right in their childhood home, as doctors had become wildly unreliable with sporadic violence an chaos on the rise. Early on, the two experienced only a few fleeting years of happy, healthy youth before the raids erupted. Murmurs in closely knitted circles began, foretelling of a refuge nestled far in the mountains that harbored infants, children, and teenagers. Caretakers would not only promise the safety and mental/physical well being of their guests, but would also provide them with education up to the equivalent of a two-year university. Doctors, teachers, professors, soldiers, martial artists, nutritionists, scientists, and a slew of other experts gathered here with the goal of ensuring a brighter tomorrow was still possible, whenever the fateful fall of society cried out for it. Angela and Marie kept in touch with their parents sometimes through secret encounters halfway home and other times by letters carried out once or twice a month on foot. Eventually the visits became fewer and further between, the letters grew shorter and more concerned; then communication back home ceased altogether. The twins were devastated, but never gave up hope.

When the girls entered their 20s, the refuge had not only harbored all they could but was also on the verge of compromise. The sisters returned home from the north only to discover their parents had vanished. Devastated, the girls devised a plan to hold out in the deteriorating house on the off-chance their parents might soon return in search of them. But after a dozen-or-so invasions, another decision was made to reinforce their once cozy abode. During their refuge, Marie specialized in medicinal care while Angela studied self-defense, and they both eventually reciprocated their knowledge. Angela's thieving skills developed from sneaking around during twilight into the wee hours of the morning scouting for raw materials. Meanwhile, her sister would collect mass stocks of supplies from nearby abandoned ambulatory warehouses and gutted medical facilities. When the house was safely established, the girls rounded up what little artillery their father kept in the past; realizing it wasn't enough, the two of them raided a local superstore for ammo, knives, mace, and any other defense they could get their hands on. Unfortunately, a group of young men were watching their every move. Within a week, Angela snuck out to find one last batch of materials to make an artillery stronghold whilst her sister stayed behind to prep and store food. Enough arms were hidden to thwart the ruthless thugs, but Marie was not so lucky. Angela returned in time to hear Marie scream her last as the five mongrels hustled into the early morning haze. Since then, Angela has buried her final relative, restocked her defensive supplies, and created a stronghold she can adequately defend. Now, distrusting of any other people amidst the fall of society, she stalks those murderers in preparation for her final stand. All Angie knows is what she's taught herself. With dwindling optimism that her parents are still alive and the emptiness her sister's death left within her, she's more obsessed with revenge than her own survival.

Special Items: Expertly stocked med kit, glock with militant rounds

Family: None. The last of her kin was her twin sister who was killed recently by a gang of careless thugs whilst stealing their arms supply.

Other Relationships: Her only relations are the dead, murderous sons-of-bitches she's been carefully, yet meticulously trailing for weeks. Once she learns their habits, they'll get what's coming to them and her sister's memory will finally rest in peace.

Home: Her residence is their childhood home, albeit in shambles. The brick building lies on the outskirts of what used to be the city, and they attributed the house's survival solely to its location. All doors and windows have been fortified with boards and shrapnel, and there's one secret exit hidden by shrubbery that leads out back. A gnarled, dead tree shadows the back yard with a lonely, mangled tire swing hanging from its branches. A closet midway through the house (which was previously the arms stronghold) is secured with chains and massive padlocks, the keys to which swing from Angie's neck. Blood is spattered throughout from countless stands against invaders and the whole place smells of iron, save for the masking scent of a few candles and split sticks of incense scattered on the floor for light. Her medical supplies are abundant, with painkillers, hypodermic needles, and other medicinal rarities locked within the fortified closet. Her cupboards, however, are as bare as the hardwood floors. It's almost time to forage again, as two cans of beans and a lonely and crumpled bag of Lays are all that adorn what was once the kitchen cabinet. The only semblance of furniture is a stained mattress covered by an ill-fitting sheet and lumpy pillow, shrouded in a dark corner. A small stash of clothing and sparse sundry items lies nearby in a tattered laundry basket. Jugs of clear, safe rainwater are hidden behind a false plank in the wall against the mattress. But thank her lucky stars there are still four walls.
