Assassin Profile: ☎ Ada Marie Walker ❝Nothing is as it seems. Be careful, you might run into a hornets nest. ❞ penchipenchipenchipenchipenchiDon't you know who I am? I'm the Assassin
█ ◞ Ada █ ◞ Birthday: August 9th ☞ Age: 20 █ ◞ Female ☞ Straight
ohsoveryluckyFiestyx×xImpulsivex×xBlunt
xx For as long as Ada could remember, she'd been trained to be an assassin. She grew up with the knowledge that she would kill one day. Her first assignment was when she was 9. She had some issues on getting in and out, but that was a given. Once she was in, she was fine though. Killing wasn't that bad either. She grew up around those who killed and taught her to kill, so she never really thought about the deaths of her targets. She didn't think if it was right or wrong, she didn't have to. As she grew older, she got more skilled and more assignments from stealing plans to killing a king or magistrate.
It wasn't until she was 17 that she started to wonder, but kept silent about it and continued her duties. It was around this time that she had figured out the meaning of taking a life and she respected each person she had to kill. Forgiving them of whatever it was that they had to die for. She was not allowed to question or ask for the reasons that they were to be killed. If she were to ask, then she would be considered a liability, and liabilities were killed soon after. No Ada did not fear death, she simply wanted to know the reasons for killing and why it must be done.
xxExtras ☞ She has a single piercing in each ear. ☞ She has a tattoo on her left shoulder blade, a mark of the assassins. ☞ She is skilled with many weapons and arts, including the skill of using her gender to her advantage.
xxMY LIKES ♥ Reading ♥ Sunrise/Sunset ♥ Animals ♥ The Rain
xxMY DISLIKES ✖ Sleeping, it leaves her vulnerable ✖ Not knowing what matters most ✖ Pompus pricks/jerks/royalty/nobility that only know how to use others ✖ Dull blades

==== ✥ ==== "You do not understand," Falon repeated for what felt like the hundredth time. "My father is unable meet with you. I am here in his stead." The blacksmith did not stop his work, dunking a red hot sheet of steel into a bucket of water. The soon-to-be blade hissed and spit. "I have always dealt with the Grand Duke directly. Why should that change now?" The man spit over his shoulder and pulled the sheet from the water. "As I have explai-" Clank "plained, my father is un-" Clang. "unwell. He se-" Cling. "Would you mind stopping while we converse?" The blacksmith raised an eyebrow, but set his hammer and steel aside. "As I was saying, my father is unwell. He regrets being unable to meet with you as he has in the past, but his guard are still in need of good steel and strong armor. When I become the Grand Duke, I shall need these as well. I was raised using your blades, Master Haxly, and there are none finer. I just wish to renew your contract with the noble family." Falon had been all around town today, renewing contracts for the family. While a few carried no problem with signing for Falon, many shopkeepers were wary to deal with anyone but the Duke, none moreso than the blacksmith. The blacksmith thought it over, pulling at his mustache. "You will have your contract, but I shall except nothing less than what the Duke promised me." Falon smiled, triumphant. "And you shall receive nothing less. Thank you, Master Haxly." The young noble offered his hand to the workingman, who took it. When Falon retrieved his hand, it was stained with black, but Falon hardly noticed. He thanked the man again and bid him a good day. Outside, he breathed deeply. "Very well done, Master Graestone." His courier praised, shuffling along beside him. "Thank you Artemis. I am satisfied. My father's guard shall have the finest steel in all the land. Make a note that I need to take inventory of the armory and sent Master Haxly an order as soon as possible." "Of course." Artmeis replied, making the note in his notebook. the pair made there way through the town, heading towards Falon's last stop. It had been a successful day and Falon had needed it to be. With a string of disappointing letters from the King, the young noble needed something to lift his spirits. Additionally, the people were wary of him. It was well known he would soon be the Duke, but his people distrusted him. They had been familiar with Silas, his elder brother and first in line for the title. Silas had been groomed to lead his entire life. Even Tobias, the second son, was more known to them. But Falon? Many did not even know the name of the Grand Duke's third soon until he was destined to inherit the title. Ahead, the castle loomed, blocking the sun from view. The home of the Grand Duke's of the Rellet provision has converted the fort for their purposes and a thriving town sprung up around it. It was a prime location. With the River White to the west and fertile growing lands to the north, Whitelock was a thriving center of business and trade. Falon greeted the common folk with a polite nod as he and Artemis wound there way to the apothecary. The widow who owned it, Hedra Justil, was a shrewd woman of business. And she had to be. Women who were not careful with their money went out of business quickly.

·»·»·»·»·»·» Ada Walker ·»·»·»·»·»·» "Nothing is ever as it seems..." ÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤— ✦Ada was silent as she knelt in the center of the large room. She wore the assassins garb and weapons, their symbol proudly shown on her belt. The master was reading over her latest assignment that she completed. It was only proper and respectful to wait until the master said it was ok for her to stand and if he wanted her to approach. So until that moment, she was kneeling patiently to either be dismissed or to be given her next assignment. The last assignment was rather simple. Gather information and report back. Ada much preferred those kinds of assignments because more often than not, she was assigned to take care of whatever she was tasked to gather intel for.
The task this time around was to check on the city Whitelock and its situation with the failing health of the Duke. It had been rumored that the Duke was already dead as his third son was now trying to take over. There was other rumors that the heir had his two older brothers killed to seize the title and was now trying to do away with the Duke himself. Ada was able to confirm that the Duke still lived and he did in fact seemed to be close to his death bed. She even delved further to get some accurate information on his only remaining son. By sneaking around and following his guards, and later him, she was able to determine that he did seem to have the country's welfare in mind. But she hadn't been able to stay around long as she was close to being spotted many times, as the only real times she was able to get close enough to the heir was to disguise herself as a servant.
Ada also got the common folk to give her information, they are all mostly unsure of the Duke's third son. But none of them could give her a detailed reason why. She herself did not have to write the report, but those who she reported to while in the city wrote it out and she delivered it to the Master.
"You can rise and approach." the master called to her. Doing just that, she waited for further orders. "You have done well to gather so much information without being discovered. I'll give you your next assignment. Go back to Whitelock and convince the Duke to assign his general to be the next Duke. If persuasion does not work, kill Falon Graestone. Do you understand?"
Ada stared at the master, trying not to show surprise on her face. She did not understand why the heir needed to die, he did not seem to pose any ill will at all. Biting her lip, she tried to find the words to speak her mind without seeming to be disobedient. But without success. So instead she nodded. "Yes sir. I understand." she whispered softly. After being given some supplies, she was on her way back to the city of Whitelock and hoping that she did not have to kill a person who seemed to be a good person. There was probably a good reason to have him removed from the title of heir and perhaps to be killed and she just wasn't given that information.
She was told what she needed to know. That was how her job worked, but like a few times before, she didn't think it would be so terrible to leave things as they are.
After hours of riding her black steed, she finally arrived to the city. She had put on a dark cloak to hide her weapons as she went past the guards. Not everyone knew the mark of the assassins, but weapons were easy to spot to identify one if seen. First, she needed to find an inn to stay at for a few days as she located the people she needed to in order to get an audience with the Duke himself. ÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤— "...not even a child." ==== ✥ ==== If Falon thought the blacksmith would be his hardest sell of the day, he was sorely mistake. Widow Justil nearly cracked his skull open with a throw bottle of Thyme. "Out!" She screamed, barely missing Artemis with a flask of red liquid. "Out!" "If you would hear me out," Falon called from behind spice rack. "I am sure we could come to some kind of agreement." "I do no business with charlatans and liars! Get out!" Falon didn't need to be asked again. Shielding Artemis the best he could, the lord made a break for the door. Even through the door, the woman's cries could be heard. Falon turned to his courier and smirked. "You have a little something in your hair." Artemis brushed some white leaves from his blonde, gray hair. "Witch hazel, my lord." Falon couldn't contain his laughter. "What an interesting woman. We will have to return tomorrow more prepared." "Tomorrow? My lord you wish to attempted persuading her again? I believe her answer was very clear." The lord began walking towards the castle. "Of course. Justil's Apothecary makes the finest medicines in the region. I will need her." Artemis sighed, his frail body heaving with the effort. "I should know better than to try to talk you lordship out of something once he has made up his mind." An amiable smile tugged at Falon's lips. "Come, Artemis. There is still much to do." Once inside the castle's interior, Falon was immediately accosted by many servants. The cook wanted the guest count for next's week party finalized. The head of the guards need the acting Duke to inspect the troupes this week, when could that be arranged? Letters had arrived. New draped need approval. He wadded through the requests the best he could before shutting himself up in his father's office. Artemis could handle a little planning on his behalf. In the privacy of this room, Falon allowed his concern to pull at his features. There was so much to be done. He wielded enough power to be looked at for blame but not enough to make decisions. And all of this while his father lay in bed, coughing and wheezing, a few floors up.

If she could not, she would have to sneak in. Going through the main doors was easy enough but apparently she had to talk with Falon himself in order to be granted to see the Duke. This annoyed her greatly but she followed the page to a room, after an hour of waiting, who then knocked on the closed door.
"Sir, you have a visitor for some business." he called through the door and waited for any reply. "She insists on speaking to the Duke without giving us an explanation."
Looking around while waiting, Ada recognized that the room was not Falon's room, but the Duke's office. She had the hood of her cloak pulled up to hide most of her features so that she would not be recognized later if she had to return. So far, the entire attempt to go through proper channels seemed to be a waste of time. She should've just stuck with her training and sneaked in directly to the Duke. This was taking forever and she had no time to waste. ÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤— "...not even a child." ==== ✥ ==== With a great sigh, Falon sat at the desk and began the sisyphean task of going through the paperwork on the desk. There were letters to respond to, lists to make, documents to sign, and more. It seemed as though for each paper he completed, two more appeared the next day. Falon had just completed a stack of marriage license requests when Artemis poked his head into the room. Falon's eyebrows furrowed. Audiences with the Duke had been all but eliminated for the time being. Only issues of the utmost importance would be seen by the Duke. he rubbed his temples, dropping the quill. "Send her in." It was probably so farmer's widow who needed more seeds for planting or extra protection for her fields. To his surprise, the woman Artemis lead in was young, his age or younger. She kept her hood up. Her posture suggested she was anxious, in a hurry. Falon stood and crossed out from behind the desk. "I'm afraid the Duke's health prevents him from holding personal audiences. Perhaps there is something I could help you with or I could relay a message to him."

Glancing at her side where the page was waiting near the wall, she took in her surroundings as Falon spoke. Sighing as yet again she was told what was said already many times on her way to this point, Ada was getting fed up with the run around. "I am well aware of the circumstances. But I'm afraid I have to insist I see him. My business is with him alone." she answered in irritation. These people did not seem to know what it means to have business with solely one person.
She was tempted to just charge to where the Duke was on the next floor up and ignore anybody trying to stop her, but she waited with impatience rising. "I don't care if I need to go to his chambers. It's a matter I must discuss with him privately." ÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤— "...not even a child." ==== ✥ ==== The girl appeared to have no patience for his rhetoric. No commoner had been this insistent to see the Duke. Most understood the Duke needed to save his energy. He did have good days, but they were becoming fewer and farther between. Most days, the Duke didn't leave bed. His mother and some other maids cared for him the best he could. The doctor had recommended several different treated and each one had failed to sure the coughing, headaches, shivering, and hot flashes that plagued the Duke. Falon, taken by surprise, had to compose himself before speaking. "The Duke's illness makes seeing people difficult, but there is chance he will see you." He turned his attention to Artemis. "Master Kilgar, please see if the Duke is feeling well enough to see someone on urgent business." Falon hated disturbing his father but the woman seemed insistent. It may be easier to turn her away if Artemis reported the Duke wasn't seeing anyone. Artemis nodded and disappeared out the door. "I cannot guarantee he will see you. Perhaps if I knew the nature of your business with him I may be able to persuade him to see you."

·»·»·»·»·»·» Ada Walker ·»·»·»·»·»·» "Nothing is ever as it seems..." ÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤— ✦ Ada watched the page, Mr Kilgar, leave to report to the Duke finally. When Falon continued to try and tell her that she would not be able to see him, Ada smirked and continued to as he tried to discover her business. Walking past him to sit in one of the seats near the desk, she responded. "Don't make me repeat myself. My business with you will only go further if what I have to say to him goes without heed." Sitting down, she crossed her legs and folded her arms as she waited.
Ada couldn't help but notice that Falon seemed to be quiet the curious fellow on what it is that she couldn't tell him. He seemed similar to her in some ways in that regard. In others he was annoying in his attempts. Nobility were sly that way, twisting their words until all was spilled. But she would not say anything further to the man until after she spoke with the duke. It wouldn't do to have sympathy for a future likely target.
When the page finally came back, she didn't move. She had a feeling that she would be denied to see the duke, but until she knew for sure, she stayed put. She had a small smirk slowly forming on her face as she thought of the surprised look on the Duke's face when she dropped in from his window or ceiling. She had a pretty good idea of how to get into the place now that she'd been shown around this far. It was a good place to live, very secure if you were trying to keep back an army. But with someone as agile as herself, she could make it easily. "Well? Am I granted the audience to see him?" she asked smoothly, her impatience vanishing as she thought of the adventure that she would have if denied. She almost hoped that she would, she could kill a few guards on the way in too for her wasted time. It's what they deserved after all. Of course she would have to hide the bodies until she escaped. ÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤— "...not even a child." Majoring_In_Fangirl Added a bit more XD Hope it helps you

Sometimes before it gets better The darkness gets bigger The person that you’d take a bullet for is behind the trigger
==== ✥ ==== Falon smiled, raising his hands in mock surrender. "Of course. I shall not ask you about it again." The girl, who's name he realized he didn't know, sat herself in a chair and waited without a word. It was clear she was not uncomfortable to leave the room in silence. "I don't suppose your name is beyond my reach as well." He asked, returning to behind the desk. Artemis was back a few moments later, his face pale. "Master Graestone, you must come with me at once." Falon, eyebrows furrowing with concern, stood. "What is it, Artemis?" The older man shook his head. "You must come at once." Finally, he turned to the woman. "I'm sorry, miss, but the Grand Duke cannot see you today. Come away Master Graestone." Falon made a quick apology to the woman and asked a guard in the hallway to show her out before following Artemis, who was already half way down the hall. The pair moved silently and with great speed up towards Grand Duke's chambers.Even from down the hallway, Falon could hear wailing. His heart sank. Artmis stopped moving. "I fear we are too late." He whispered. But Falon kept moving, sped up even. The Duke's private chamber was the most lascivious room in the palace; 15 foot ceilings draped in red velvet, an enormous 4 poster bed encrusted with real gold, and silk chairs. Despite the tall ceilings, the room was humid and stale. The windows had been closed for a long time for the Duke couldn't handle so much as a breeze. Falon's mother, two sisters, and younger brother along with key various members of staff gathered around the bed. His mother had collapsed to the floor, her cries not so much breaking as already broken. His sisters knelt at her side, crying as well, but trying to calm her all the same. Falon moved through the crowd to the bedside, but Artemis had been right. The Duke was dead. His face, thin with the illness, was pale and limp. Falon squeezed his eyes shut tightly, overwhelmed with emotion. "Sir," Someone behind him spoke. The young heir forced back tears before turning. The voice belonged to Tillid, the Duke's master scribe. "There is paperwork that must be done." "Dammit, Tillid, his body isn't even cold yet." Falon replied bitterly. " I understnad you are upset, but there are many forms that must be signed by both yourself, the general, and myself. First, I must look at his will. The sooner I can evaluate the late Grand Duke's wishes, the sooner the new Duke can be named." "Look at whatever you must." Falon replied, dismissing the man with a gesture.

·»·»·»·»·»·» Ada Walker ·»·»·»·»·»·» "Nothing is ever as it seems..." ÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤— ✦ Ada did not speak as the two walked out of the room, standing up as they left in a hurry. She didn't have to know, but she could figure out that the duke was probably dead. A definite waste of time. Someone was going to pay, and she would not be held responsible. But just to make sure of her conclusion, she knocked out the guard that was to escort her away and followed the two men to the kings room through sneaking and climbing higher so no one else noticed her. When they were at the dukes room, she could conclude from what she heard and what was said that he was in fact dead. Damn.
Going to the first open window, Ada climbed down the wall and ran to the nearest hide out for instruction. Falon would have to die, but so would his younger brother and since the master did not want the family to rule. But she had to report first.
Walking into the information house, Ada made a sign to the person she was to report to and walked to the back room and waited. When he finally came back, she told him the news. "I see. Well do what you must. That family must not hold the title, per Master's wishes. Go quickly and report back when the deed is done."
With a simple nod, Ada left again without saying anything further and went to the inn to gather her supplies and weapons. She was on the hunt tonight and people, perhaps many, would die. She would also have to steal the will and replace it with a replica but with the General's name on the page to be the next Duke. After sheathing her short sword at her lower back, Ada looked out the window determining that night would soon fall. Leaving her cloak on the bed, she climbed out the window and ran across the rooftops to get to the castle once more. This time, she wasn't going in secret and her identity did not need to be hidden.
Once she got close to the walls, she looked around for a possible way in that wasn't through the gate to get to the palace. For as far as she could see, there was no foothold, so with a smirk she jumped down from the roof and walked with sure steps towards the guards that were talking and laughing with each other, not paying attention from the looks of it. She had two hidden blades on her wrists, one on each. So as she approached and just nearly between them, she killed them both by stabbing her blades through their heads, and continued towards the palace without missing a step.
It was a minute later that she heard people screaming that someone was dead and running steps was fading into the background as she jumped onto the building wall and climbed up. Ada located the office that Falon was in before and decided to wait there for him. She didn't mind waiting this time, he would eventually show up and if he didn't, she would find him one way or another. Opening the window to the office, she climbed in and sat on the same chair she had sat in before, in the exact same posture as well. With her arms and legs crossed, she waited patiently for Falon. She did not have to announce herself this time.
She had already told Falon that if her business with the Duke could not go through, she would then approach Falon for her business. Now it was time, and she waited for his arrival. Really, he should've expected something like this. Honestly though, she would rather face Falon than hunt down the little brother just yet. She would rather not have innocent blood on her hands, that she knew of anyway. ÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤—÷¤— "...not even a child."
