Personality: Cinder is a very soft spoken, quite person. Even though she's the mayor and she should be outgoing and sociable. She is kind-hearted if you can get your foot in her "shell" so to speak, and she does like to be helpful. She WILL FREAK OUT if she is put into a small place or take her up the mountain, do not test her quite personality to keep her that way when she is exposed to said places.
Background: Nothing is known about Cinder's past as an angel, but what is known is that she was found at the shrine one day in the forest. Waking up after about a week, she was greeted by a child's face staring at her. The child ran and screamed, hiding behind a tall man on the other side of the room. Sitting up and quickly laying back down as her head started spinning, the man explained to her that she was found and his wife as taking care of her for a week now. Upon asking her name and where she came from, she gave a blank stare as she couldn't remember anything. The gentleman and his wife introduced themselves as the Bradwell's said said that she could use their last name if she liked. Naming herself Cinder, which some how was actually her angel name, she became a "daughter" of the Bradwell's. As time went on, things stared changing and that was when everything happened with the "Hero". Cinder was there to witness the true reason that the "Hero" had disappeared, and that the "Hero" took over as the deity of the land when the old deity passed away. She became good friends with the deity over the years, bringing offerings and "prophecies" that were going to happen. These "prophecies" convinced the people of Hazle's Woods that Cinder was some sort of future seer and as time went on they caught onto the fact that she didn't seem to be aging. Upon the leaving of all the people, weather it be dieing or moving to the city, the Bradwell's stayed. There son moved to the city to become a doctor, and then all that was left was Mr. and Mrs. Bradwell in their old health and Cinder. It didn't take but a few years for both of the Bradwell's to die, and that left Cinder all alone in Hazle's Woods. Eventually after a century, some people started moving in and they refereed to her as the "Mayor" of what was now called Hazlewood Village for being the "original" resident.

Personality: Noel is a happy-go-lucky kind of girl. She seems to be hyper at times, and likes to get people involved with activities. She isn't ever angry, unless she finds out someone is abusing or neglecting animals. Leon on the other hand seems to be laid back and easy going. He tends to apologize for things when they have nothing to do with him, and he loves to pick on his sister.
Background: The Crystaloak's were originally from Hazel's Woods, but Noel and Leon were born in the city. They're parents always talked about Hazelwood, telling stories of how wonderful it was to live there. There parents had moved back to the city to care for their mother's parents, who had also lived in Hazelwood before they became ill and moved closer to the hospital. With the stories of such a place in their head, both Noel and Leon knew that they wanted to live there too. Leon always had a thing for building things when he was a child, and he developed a dream of building houses for people. During school, he started working for a family friend and helped build smaller scale buildings, and thus began his career in building. Leon eventually worked his way into his own business and moved to Hazelwood to build houses for the residents. He's lived here for about 6 years, helping the Mayor rebuild the village and restoring the shrine. Noel had a thing for helping animals when she was young, finding injured birds or other small creatures and bringing them home to nurse them back to health. She always had a bunch of pets, weather they be small or large, and she took care of them all. Feeding the neighbors livestock, cleaning out pens, and even caring for the animals themselves, she grew up along side some of them and took care of them. When her brother left to go to Hazelwood, she knew that she wanted to run an animal business there, too. She has only recently moved to Hazelwood, about the middle of last year, and started buying and raising her own livestock in the attempt to sell them and make a living.

Kyo tends to take things more seriously but he does have a child like side to him once he warms up to people. If someone messes with the shrine or Hirokumi, Kyo will show no mercy to that person. He'll occasionally zone out into thought but he's always alert and ready to act. Kyo is fiercely loyal once he is able to call someone his friend and will do anything to protect them. Background: Kiyoshi comes from a long line of Shrine Keepers. From a young age he was taught how to keep the shrine clean and in good health, also how to protect it. It's not unusual for him to spend a lot of time there, and he'll bring an offering everyday. His father had been the keeper for many decades but fell ill and passed away when Kyo was 15, leaving him alone. Taking over as the main keeper of the shrine, Kyo created a small cafe near it, his home on the upper floor.
Roughly two weeks after his father's passing, Kyo heard a strange voice at the shrine that asked for his father late one night. To his surprise, he found Hirokumi, the deity of the shrine. His father had told him stories of the deity taking on a physical form, but Kyo never thought that it was real, after all why would a deity take a physical form?
Continuing his loyalty to the shrine and it's deity, Kyo would go to the shrine and play with Hiro as his father had done. Only about a month ago, Hiro asked if he could stay with him. He likes to help the people of the village and make them happy. His cheerful demeanor is pretty hard to break. Hiro loves meeting new people and exploring new places. His curiosity will occasionally get him in trouble since he doesn't understand some of the more modern things. Background: Hiro is the deity of the shrine that towers over the village. He doesn't know how long he's been there and doesn't really care about that, he just enjoys what he does to help out. The keepers of the shrine, the Itsuku family, always took care of keeping the shrine at it's best and brought offerings everyday.
Hiro had grown fond of one of the more recent ones, often taking a physical form to play with him, though he kept this form a secret from everyone else. The man vanished for two weeks, his son coming to the shrine alone, it was then when Hiro asked where the man had gone. The son explained that his father had passed on and now he was the keeper of the shrine. The son, called Kiyoshi, then came to play with him everyday, even if it wasn't for long, Hiro enjoyed the company.
About a month ago, Hiro asked if he could stay with Kyo, wanting to wander about the town and meet it's people. Although a lot of modern things confuse him, Hiro is learning with the help of Kyo. Personality: Being raised in the inn, Vente is kind towards everyone he meets but if he is agitated he'll lash out with magic. Although it may not seem like it, he is rather happy most of the time and especially when running the inn. He does keep to himself sometimes but talks to the rest of the villagers on occasion and the inn visitors often.
Background: Vente was originally the son of wizard, who fell in love with a human and began a relationship. He disappeared however when she was discovered to be pregnant. Vente's mother also died during the birth and he had no relatives that would take him because of the rumors surrounding his father's disappearance. He was adopted however by an older couple who managed an inn. The adoptive mother couldn't bear a child, so she was delighted to raise Vente. As he grew up in Hazelwood he became more accustomed to working in the inn and when the couple became elderly they decided to leave Hazelwood to travel back to the woman's home town. Vente was left in charge of the Inn and has since run it on his own for the last couple of years.

It wasn't as if he was a bad man, he just wasn't exactly the greatest father. He stayed around for awhile, caring for Alice until she was eighteen. But once that age, her father had just up and left one night without a word or note. Alice to this day still doesn't know where her father went and she doesn't plan on looking for him. Personality: Mary Anne is such a fun person, that is if you can take the obnoxiously loud laugh and tons of wreck less behavior. A jokester at heart, she's always up for entertaining and monkeying around. Though, it's hard to get the over worked farmer to step off her land, she's certainly one of the best to hang out with. It's like, having a child around who owns up to their responsibility, and will most definitely kick your tush in the morning if you speak to her before 10 AM. A grumpy, fun-loving hell of a girl.
Background: It feels like this farm has been in this town since...Forever! Generations of Stowers have plowed this fertile land and milked cows utters with giggles for yeeeears. She ended up in a pile of sweat and basically everyone in town hear her yell for possibly three hours. Sure, it was a hard time getting her big heard out of there, but it was sure worth it. Now, 23 years later, her parents retired and moved far away, leaving her daughter and two dogs, Bean and Juke to take care of the farm. It's a hard deal, having to wake up early every day, plow the fields, milk the cows, shear the sheep, but she's used to it! Personality: Being an entertainer, Ashford is a vibrant, almost flamboyant girl, with a desire to bring a smile to everyone's face, even if it means sacrificing her own happiness. She is a very talented lady, but isn't perfect, and is extremely critical of herself whenever she fails or slips up in a performance, believing that she can do better. She is extremely jovial, outgoing, and daring, certainly not one to back down from a challenge. Ashford is very proud, and won't allow anyone to demean her or her companions. Her one desire is to spread joy and leave her mark on everyone she meets in any way she can.
Background: Ashford was born to the to the wife of the Ringmaster of the Gashlycumb Circus in a large city separated from Hazelwood by the mountains. As the Ringmaster's daughter, Ashford was raised to be multi talented, and has been taught to play the piano, guitar, harmonica, to sing, as well as taught how to dance various styles. Growing up in the life of showbiz, Ashford became so used to large crowds that she desired to venture to a small town to live on her own for a while, simply to experience life in a new way to see what would truly please her curious soul. So, on New Year's Eve, Ashford set out with a pack of clothes and other essentials, as well as her harmonica and ukelele, venturing across the mountain to whatever small town she would meet first.
