The 'weekend', the day off from actual school-related activities. The day off where he didn't feel the need to sleep in. In fact, he had been up since the early morning before the other students had time to stir from sleep. He had already done his morning jog through the dorms, town, woods, graveyard, and back before stopping at the gym for a quick break. However, his blood was flowing, his motivation was up, and he had energy to spare. While panting, Uru'baen had been hopping on one foot to another when he eyed the gym. Apparently by the time he had made it back, students had woken up and all the facilities were taken. Panting, his eyes tarted to the elliptical, the weights were used (there were free weights... but he was iffy on that), even the bags were occupied. Briefly pursing his lips and rolling his eyes, his gaze fell onto another boil nearby who seemed to be unoccupied. If he had learned anything recently, there was one activity that was much more engaging than working out on a machine.

"Hey, are you up for a spar?" He had questioned, locking his arm between his bicep, stretching out. Sure he was panting but what would one expect from a morning jog?

The demon hound had forgone his usual attire for his workout outfit. It was comfortable and breathable. Didn't hinder him at all when he moved which he had appreciated. A blue top and black shorts, a new pair of sneakers he had picked up from the maul. His hair was sweat slicked upwards as his hands combed through it. A single tattoo visible on the underside of his right wrist. "Seems like it'll be awhile," he gestured to the facilities of the gym.

Likewise, Seiji had also gotten up well before the rest of the student body for a run. As a ghost the boil didn't need to sleep, and when Junko wasn't around there was very little reason for him to linger between the sheets. He'd gone about his usual routine, a long run, a quick set of reps with the fitness room's free weights, and now he was in the gym, looking to kill some time befire meeting his fiancé for lunch.

The challenge from the hellhound was a welcome one. Seiji turned, grinning, then chuckled as he noticed what the demon was wearing. They were dressed almost identically. Of course there the similarities ended. Seiji was tall, broad shouldered, and had ashen colored skin, black cilia and glowing red eyes. Sharp, shark like teeth, and a mass of black markings that covered his arms like intricate, geometric tattoos, melting into solid black over both hands. Long hair was back in a messy bun, disheveled already from this mornings run.

"I'm always up for a spar." The other boil looked fairly familiar, but Seiji couldn't place a name with him. "I'm Seiji."

"Uru." He returned with a subtle dip of his chin as his fists came up before him. Similarly, he was a tall boil with an aesthetically pleasing shoulder-waist ratio. After many years of being physically fit - opposite of what most typical demons would be, he was proud of his form. He wasn't bashful. Unlike some students, his pin glamoured himself to appear quite reaper-like, that is to say he looked more human than demon. What gave him away were his colored eyes; blue and yellow, and his inky black tail that whipped behind him as he dashed forward.

He found sparring much more thought involved and practical than lifting weights and pushing himself up off the ground over hundreds of times. There were benefits, surely, but this was where it was at. He would have to dodge, he would have to read his opponent, he would have to not dissipate.

Closing the distance between them, the demon hellhound grunted as he stomped down with his foot, leading into a direct upper toward the ghost Seiji. Was this undead a close fighter or a distance one? Putting himself into a position that made him vulnerable, he didn't give it a second thought. He was better off close. If he was close, he could dodge and counter and keep the opponent within arms reach. However, if he was at a distance, he would not be able to reach Seiji in time, thus being at a large disadvantage.

Besides, what is but a few punches to the face?

The name was filed away for later, but that was as far as their conversation went. Uru was falling directly into action, delivering a rather powerful uppercut to the ghost's chin. It rocked his head back, made him stagger backwards a step, and he felt a promising throb as he took back his balance. That would leave a mark, ache for a few days. The demon boil wasn't playing around.

Of course that's what made it fun. Seiji loved a good challenge.

Bringing up his own hands, the ghost spread his fingers, flexing, and the tips began to grow, lengthening. A hasty swipe came from the right, missing the demon's chest by a fraction of an inch, claw tips not quite fully formed at the moment of attack.

The demon hound pulled back his torso as long digits inched closer with a swipe. Ghosts were a tricky bunch of students. They were ethereal, their shape didn't necessary have to be solid or as they appeared. They could change... they could become intangible. But that didn't stop Uru as he skidded away as the momentum of his disengage carried him. With a grunt, he was charging back in quickly with a few feints and a jab or two.

Seiji was like a punching bag that fought back, pushed back, moved, and countered. Seiji made him move, made him put distance to avoid back swings, made him chase. The cardio, the practiced movements, this included a lot of his usual workout regiment excluding weights. That's something he could do without. He wasn't into bulking up anyway, he preferred to be fit and lean. He simply appeared big naturally.

"Gob?" He questioned as he threw his punches, upward knees, and outward kicks. "Or hob?"

More sharp blows in the form of quick, consecutive blows that pushed the ghost back another few paces, arms up to try to take the brunt of it. Uru was strong, but more than that, the demon knew what he was doing. Good aim, good speed, good form.

"Third year," he managed when the punches slowed and he had a chance to breath. "Nearly graduated."

Uru couldn't have all the fun though. Claws extended, the ghost smiled before darting in for a charge of his own, slashing at the demon's torso and arm before sinking back defensively, trying to close any exploitable openings.

"How about you?"

"Third year," he got out before he took the attack, swinging himself around, moving his body along with the momentum of the swipe. Planting his foot down, he brought his hands back up. "Just about graduated too, just waiting on someone else to hurry his butt up."

The demon hound lunged forward, blue flames erupting from his palms, engulfing his fists as he came crashing toward the ghost. Quickly, his muscle memory and body fell into a practiced movement. Right hook, left jab, mid-section knee, hop onto the other foot for a kick, round house, one-two punch, and a finishing upper. Usually he messed up, even switched the routine into something less practiced. However, that was how he was. In his humanoid state, he had a structured routine of movements and attacks that could become predictable after a period of time.

But he had an answer for that, too.

"What plans do you have for after?" He casually asked as if sparring was no big deal that they were not really throwing punchings. Seiji was a stranger to him. Yet, he was comfortable in this environment.

With as natural as this all seemed for the hellhound, Seiji really should have been expecting the Fear laced barrage that set him down hard on the food floor of the gym. Too many hits to count, too fast. He didn't even really register any one individual, save the last, but he certainly felt them after. HIs ears were even ringing. "s**t." For a second he just stayed down, laughing, claws shrinking back down to his normal fingers. "That's legit."

Jack, he was going to be sore later, and bruised. Junko was gunna throw a fit.

Pushing back up to his feet, the ghost slid a hand up over his brow to push escaping lengths of dark hair from his face. "Oh the usual. Get a house, get married, have some kids." It could have been a joke, but Seiji was serious. He and his fiance were cureently house hunting, they had their wedding all planned. He just needed to graduate. "Yourself?"

If he were more polite, or if they hadn't been in the middle of a spar, he might have waited for an answer before retaliating. But he wasn't, and they were. Still grinning, Seiji tapped into his own Fear, and the markings on his arms came to life. Swirling, converging, drifting down his arms until nothing remained but solid black. Then he was coming for the other boil in much the same way, though not quick so neat with his technique.

A wild hay-maker started it off, then a left to side, and from there on it was blow after blow to the body before he'd finish with a winding upper.

Uru was caught between words. The next thing he felt was being knocked side to side and then on his tail. With a groan, the third year demon was clutching his side as he knelt to stand. Ghosts were definitely not to be trifled with. Sure, they liked to trick and spook and what not but this one - Seiji, definitely could dish out a hit. He gave a pained chuckle as he stood upright, hand on his side. "Ah, better than the muscle burn, but could do without the bruising." He commented.

"I don't know." He relied honestly. It was a plaguing thought in the back of his mind as of late. He didn't have any plans after all this. He didn't have a family he could return to anymore. He didn't have a home so he'd have to buy or rent one. He didn't have any silver seeds to his name to afford one long term. He wasn't particularly skillful to make anything of himself after graduation. So the future was bleak. In all of those reasonings, none of them mattered to him more than; 'what becomes of my relationship if I graduate?'. Damien had been focused on Uru's wellbeing that he wasn't even sure the monster had progressed on his own path to graduating. Unlike himself, the green eyed boil had everything. He had friends whom he could rely on, many of whom were alumni. He had been taking extracurriculars and classes to further his own plans for a career after school. He had a pack that he could go back to when everything was said and done.

Uru worried. He worried that Damien's interest in him only lasted as long as the school year continued. As long as they both were. To be honest, it was very convenient for them; together, nearby, saw each other everyday, had classes and homework. But after this, he was uncertain. He wanted to believe that they could stay together, remain boil friends. However, he didn't have much to offer but himself.

Shaking his head, he dipped his chin to hide the ghost of a smile. "Yours sounds... Ideal."

Shaking the thoughts from his head, he pushed himself back into the mindset of the fray, lashing out with curled fists.

Ideal now, but less than a year ago Seiji's future had been far less solid. "I got lucky, the pieces all fell together for me, after quite a rocky road." First year hadn't been awful, baring the insane field trips they had to partake in. Those had left a bitter taste in his mouth. In everyone's mouths. They'd lead to problems no one could have foreseen, personal and school wide.

But the past was in the past now. Whatever hardships the ghost had had to endure, it had all been to reach this moment.

He rolled with blow, let it rock him back, but when he came forward again his fist was cocked back and ready. As he planted his front foot he brought it forward, delivering a rather wicked right to the other boil's stomach.

"That's what I'm afraid of actually." He said with a grunt and groan as he was assaulted once more. Good thing he only had water thus far or else the floor would be a different texture. "Since meeting my friend, things have been going great." He panted as he retaliated with his own strikes. "Things are bound to go bad at some point, right?"

That was his fear. Things have been nothing but good since meeting Damien. So, in theory, something bad was going to happen... and he feared that it was them going their separate ways.

He could feel his 'edges' fraying after that last hit, and both hands came up. "I yield." He really didn't feel like dissipating today, better to just avoid it if he could.

Fingers massaged at his jaw for a moment, then he chuckled as he dropped his hand to his side again. "Well that's life, isn't it? It's all ups and downs. The trick is being able to hang on and ride it out through the rocky bits." He and Junko had learned that lesson the hard way, but in the end they were stronger for it. "Open communication, can't stress enough how important that it.

"Have you talked to your friend about post graduation plans? I mean, if you want them in your life, that's probably something you should do, instead of waiting to see what happens."

Uru's guard dropped as did his hands fall to his side as the admittion of yielding came. Fair enough, the spar was over the moment the word was given. Sure there were chances that a cheap shot could be thrown, but... who does that.

Coming to Seiji, panting, Uru rested his hands on his hips as he watched him under lowered brows. "Had a lot of downs until now. Not ready for the next one if it means losing my only good that I have left." He commented. Besides Damien, there was Brenna but there were so many complications there that the monster hellhound really was all he had. "Yeah, communication. Still working on that."

"I... I intended to. Thought about it a lot of times. I guess I'm more afraid of what his response will be."

"Well," Seiji frowned thoughtfully, mirroring Uru's posture with a hand coming up to rest on his head, chest rising and falling, albeit at a more sedate rate. He wasn't alive, after all. "Not talking about it isn't going to make things easier. If anything, it'll just complicate things in the end." Broad shoulders came up in a small shrug. "I mean, it could even be damaging. What if he thinks you're not talking about it because you have no interest in continuing things after graduation?"

It was clear to the ghost that wasn't the case, but it didn't seem outside the scope of possibilities.

"You're right. That is a possible thought. He is a very intuitive boil." He mused, crossing his arms across his chest, closing his eyes in thought. There were a lot of possibilities. But the one he was concerned about was the most selfish thought. He glanced over his shoulder toward the lockerroom where his duffel bag was which contained a folder. This folder contained his graduation dungeon exam forms and the proof of requirements - in triplicate. The only thing that was missing was his signature.

"I'll talk to him, just... when the time is right. There is no rush." He could wait until Damien was ready to graduate and do the exam together. That would be ideal, less complicated. But when that would happen, he wasn't sure. Again, being selfish. "Thanks, though. Gave me thoughts I should really consider. Spar was good, thoughts were more appreciated."

He offered a hand for a firm shake. "Good luck to your graduation, Seiji. Wedding and all."
