His family sometimes calls him Jirou and he hates it. Raisuke's not actually sure whether this is true, although he's very inclined to trust his ancestors. What he does know for certain is that he and his relatives are monsters made of lightning who just happen to take the shape of scaly blue horses with horns. They've been calling themselves Thunder Kirins for centuries whether or not the tales are true, so why stop now?
In general their clan is pretty peaceful but also incredibly private. In fact, they were actually fairly pleased to be shut up within the boundaries of Miasma Village. While not boundlessly malevolent, most of Raisuke's family is easily offended, with hair triggers. Tread carefully, lest lightning strike.
Natural Ability: Energized - a current of static electricity runs through him at all times, unable to completely discharge. For the most part, though, it's harmless - he'll give people he touches a bit of a shock sometimes if he forgets to hold it back. Only when Raisuke truly focuses does it have much of a dangerous effect.
Personality: You might as well slap the label "does not play well with others" on this boil and call it a day. Raisuke is a highly xenophobic individual, but it has a lot more to do with fear of unfamiliarity than anything else. He's desperately afraid of being exposed for his lack of expertise, and hides it by glaring at everyone around him. If he looks like he's the one judging everyone, then they're not going to judge him, right? He neglects to remember that no one expects him to always know the answer. Because of this, he generally comes across as aggressive and prickly, with a healthy hunger for schadenfreude. His hobbies, after all, include standing around and judging people, sometimes loudly. Why aren't they as good as Raisuke? he asks in public, but in private he works hard to make his own weaknesses measure up. He's extremely careful to pretend that this effort never happened, even in front of the majority of his friends.
In that way he idolizes creeple who make things look effortless, and he's much more likely to be friendly toward such creeple. Competence, after all, is attractive. But making even one mistake, if you're not someone he's already fond of, is enough to make him completely dismiss you as someone he's interested in. And professors who make mistakes? Well, you can bet that Raisuke will stop paying attention in their classes. What have they to teach him? He already knows that they're useless. So as you might imagine, Raisuke can be pretty quick to judge, and hard to win over. But once he has been convinced of your coolness, it's Raisuke that'll do whatever it takes to get into your good graces.
The thing is, it's not like Raisuke wants to dislike people. Of course he wants to have friends, who should preferably think he's cool! He's just very bad at showing it, and a little overly picky. Because it's so hard for him to make friends, Raisuke becomes incredibly possessive of the ones he does have. This isn't to say he thinks of creeple as posessions: rather, he sits around making snide remarks when they choose to hang out with people he doesn't also approve of (mostly because he's frightened they'll want to leave him). He's very, very good at showing his disapproval loudly, after all, no matter the situation. This has caused many a fight, but it's also always one that he inevitably loses.
On the bright side (for his friends, anyway), Raisuke's almost frighteningly gullible when it comes to people he trusts for whatever reason. He's much more inclined to trust people they trust, after he gets over his initial worry that he'll be abandoned, and he'll follow them into a risky situation for no reason other than he wants to. On a similar note, his family brought him up with a deep and abiding respect for tradition - among his friends, it's well-known that it's easy to convince Raisuke to do something so long as you pretend it's a tradition of your family's or clan's. Of course, he'll expect the same for you when it comes to his own traditions, which...may cause problems, at times.
Also, he's extraordinarily fond of eggs. How can they be so delicious in every form, cooked every which way? It's beyond him, really. They're the only thing that he's always willing to try.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? It's complicated. If you ask Raisuke, he doesn't need school. But his family sees the situation differently: they're aware of Amityville Academy's reputation for turning out stellar denizens of Halloween, and they intend for Raisuke to bring those talents back to their fold. Unfortunately for them, he's an awful teacher. Also, he tends to be insanely possessive of what he considers his people, and a lot of Miasma Village residents around his age decided to take the plunge and enroll at Amityville. Since he doesn't want to be left out, there was really no other path.
Even if that means he has to attend classes now. Ugh.
FEAR Ability: Supercharge - They say lightning never strikes the same way twice. In that way Raisuke's FEAR is unpredictable.
