Ol' Funnybone's House of Shadows was a relatively new attraction and destined to be short-lived but that was rather the point of a Haunted Halloween House.
For a few weeks now the advertisement had gone out (mostly by way of flier) about the new seasonal attraction in Ambergris. It promised a very very special opening night.
'That's right! For our opening night only we've got a spoooooooktacular opportunity for the brave souls who venture into our daaaark and spoooooky domain! Brought to you by Silph Co.! Pokémon League approved!' proclaimed 'spooky' green text on the black and orange flier.
The House of Shadows was, in fact, an old mansion in Ambergris that had been specially repurposed for the event. Halloween themed mascots and merchandise sellers were set up outside the building but the true attractions were the many tricks and scares waiting within the dark old house and its grounds.
Opening night, however, was to be extra special; heavily advertised was the fact that, with League sponsorship, for one night only the attraction would be host to numerous pokémon waiting to cause mischief and mayhem and, perhaps, get themselves a new trainer in the course of the evening.
"Whoooohahahahaaa! Welcome, welcome! Welcome to Ol' Funnybone's House of Shadows!" It was a recorded message buried among the Halloween soundtrack that played on a loop in the admission hall. "That's right! We dare you to come and brave our nightmarish realm! But beware! There's a chance you won't be leaving alooooone! Aahahaha!"
There were three locations to visit in Ol' Funnybone's House of Shadows, and each could be reached from the entrance hall:
1) The Garden and Courtyard - This was an outside area that had been decorated with paraphernalia including a fake gallows, giant fake spiderwebs and shadowy trees (both real and fake!). It was populated with a few spooky mascots waiting to jump out from the shadows as well as pokémon. It could be reached by turning right and right again to exit through a large oak door.
2) The Ground Floor Ballroom and Hallways - A once ornate room that had been decorated with flickering candles, old furniture and spooky automatons and waxworks. Connected to this room were corridors that crackled with a spooky soundtrack and low hanging fake cobwebs! There were many different things awaiting in the dark here! This area of the house could be reached by turning left.
3) The Upper Floor Landing and Rooms Mirror Maze- The landing would have been plain if it weren't decorated with blood stains and spooky skeletons! A creepy grim reaper resided up here (his name was Barry, he was on the pay roll) just in case any one got a little /too/ lost in the sinister 'Eternal Maze of Horrors' (maze of mirrors). Some once-ornate stairs led up to the landing before the mirror maze.
FUN FACT! Costumes for your characters are entirely optional but spooky spooky 'mon do love to see people putting effort into the holiday!
OOC RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS!
1) You may obtain two pokemon from this ORP total. This does not have to be with the same character.
2) There is no limit on how many characters you may play in this ORP but you are limited to only two pokemon as a player.
3) Please be very clear in your post when rolling; you must include the area you are rolling for either by name or number listed, and a clear description of whatever your character might be doing.
4) Pokemon will first appear as silhouettes when you roll an encounter- you can either flee from the shadow or choose to engage (and thus keep) the pokemon that is casting it. The pokemon will be revealed upon choosing the 'keep' option.
5) To 'roll' you must generate a random number between 1 and 13; this plus the area you provide in your roll post will determine the silhouette that shows up.
6) There /are/ booby prizes; these will be clearly stated as such and will not appear as silhouettes.
7) The chance to obtain pokémon will run from today (Friday 23rd) starting now until 11 pm(EST) on the 30th of October! (Extended for one hour!) After that only booby prizes can be rolled.
8) The ORP itself will remain open indefinitely for RP.

[ Aulus - The Garden and Courtyard ]
He'd always kind of liked Halloween he guessed but he'd never done much for it until he moved to Kodo, it seemed to be bigger here than in the UK. Last year... last year had been a non starter for a lot of reasons but the years before that-
There'd been the year when he'd got assigned a dinosaur costume at a party in - had it been Camphoreon? But he'd dressed as Indiana Jones and dared the host staff to disagree, they hadn't. Had that been the year he'd met and gone on one date with Alex's sister?... Yes, it had been hadn't it? Claire had been wearing that... what had it been? It had been sexy whatever it was, a fairy or something? And he'd found Paul on the dance floor, and nearly named him Gimpy. Then there had been the year he'd been Han Solo and Alex had been Luke Skywalker. Of course he had been.
This year, while he was nominally going alone, he'd decided he might as well make a bit of an effort and as such he'd turned up as The Terminator. He was half way there with the metal arm anyway so a few plastic bits with red LEDs stuck on his face and black attire finished the look off pretty well. He did hope Tam could make it though, she had a lot of work on - as ever - but she'd said she'd make it if she possibly could.
Anyway, for the present he was by himself in some kind of courtyard area full of full on cheesy spooky decorations; he approved thoroughly. After a few moments of casting around thoughtfully Aulus headed over to the gallows to take a closer look, keeping alert for anything that might decide to jump out at him. Punching hapless Haunted House employees in the face would be bad.

[Oliver - The Ground Floor Ballroom + Hallway]
Oliver enjoyed the original meaning behind Halloween, underneath all the commercialism and revealing to inappropriate costume choices. He enjoyed history and well, a Plague mask just seemed rather fitting. He had been slightly wishful at the armor available but it was expensive and his long trench was robe like to fit the history of the mask.
A haunted house wasn't his usual haunt, but he did not have a full team, and
ghost pokemon were strange and intriguing enough to brave the crowds and fake decorations. He turned left, walking slowly over the once ornate room, looking over the candles and furniture and were there waxworks?
He frowned, waving away a rather low hanging fake cobweb, it was rare when something was low hanging enough to bother him, and traveled in the center of the room to get a clearer look.

[Sasha / Lex The Upper Floor Landing and Rooms Mirror Maze][ Playing for boobie prizes/ not pokemon for Lex, he has enough]
Lex had went full out living dead girl from Rob Zombies video, because he liked the music video and well, he sort of want to slowly introduce Taavi to the fact he occasionally like to dress in women's clothing because it is comfortable and they were pretty. He had found a cheap white dress he could dirty and tear up, curled a blond wig, applied the color himself to make the streaks, and liberally applied grease paint and make up to make his complexion milk white and well dirty up his visible skin.
He hummed as he reached the landing, heels tapping away on the floor and read the text and quickly sent one back. //Just got to the landing, meet you on the floor. Kisses, Sasha.// He looked up the stairs and started up, while did he decided on high heels again... because he liked them and they were such a pretty black, that was why. And they made him taller, which made it easier to kiss his boyfriend.
