It has been decadessince the Extrasolar war started and the outer systems rebeled. After generations of mining and exploitation of the planetary resources, a band of governors roused their people against the distant Sol System Federation. Calling themselves the Vandas Liberation Separatists, the movement spread like wildfire across the outer systems. Outraged by the lack of support from the inner system of Sol, the first shot was fired in hatred. The subject is still debated on it but the wrecked hulls of two SSF cruisers and a VLS freighter were found floating in dead space.
Warships mobilized and armies clashed across the Federation space, but the forces on the front lines dwendled rapidly. Fearing the slow intake of soldiers to come to late, commanders enacted a cloning program to bolster numbers. Now with the forces only a year out from rotation, the cloned forces fight to keep hold of the planets still under control.
