Nick let out a small sigh as he slipped his daggers back into their sheaths. At his feet laid his target, Crubon Rondor, a demon who had been slaughtering human females for the last year or so. The pool of blood expanded from the corpse as the body seemed to dissipate, and before long the body was gone. This was his life, killing monsters that brought havoc to the unsuspecting humans. His parents had been monster hunters, same as he had been. The only difference now was he was a dark hunter, sworn to Artemis after he had cried out for vengeance all those years ago.
Wiping a bit of blood from a cut on his cheek, Neck turned and headed out of the alley. The assignment was done, finished a bit faster than he thought, lucky for him Crubon hadn't seemed interesting in trying to be stealthy. Looking up at the sky, Nick gave a small stretch, it was probably somewhere around midnight if he had to take a guess, plenty of time to screw around a bit and do his own thing. Besides, Artemis didn't say anything about another target just yet, though knowing her it wouldn't take long for him to be assigned another.

Name: Nick Chontos Age: 18 Personality: Nick takes his duties very seriously, stopping at nothing to do what he feels must be done. He tends to come off as cool and uncaring for the most part. However, he is pretty good at falsifying emotions to help manipulate people into acting a certain way. Once he considers someone a friend, Nick is incredibly loyal and do whatever he can in order to help them. Race: Dark Hunter Skills/Powers: - Acrobatics - Fighting - Shadow manipulation Brief History: Nick grew up the son of two monster hunters. That being the case, the family never stayed for long in one place and Nick never really made any friends. His uncle would come by every so often and tell him of his adventures hunting beasts that threatened the land. Once he was old enough, Nick began his training as a monster hunter as well, following the family's tradition. One day however, when he was seven, Nick had been lying in bed when he heard a knock at the door followed by the sound of his uncle's voice. A mere moment later, yelling broke out in the other room with the sounds of fighting joining in. As his door opened, Nick's mother collapsed onto the floor, a pool of blood quickly forming beneath her from a hole in her chest. In the doorway stood his uncle along with several monsters, Nick lost consciousness shortly after. When he regained his consciousness, Nick was chained up in a cell, his uncle standing behind the bars. His uncle continuously asked about some kind of energy source to which Nick didn't have a clue what he was talking about. Thinking he was hiding information, Nick's uncle beat him, eventually beating him to the brink of death. It was then that his life truly changed. Everything seemed to vanish. The cell. The chains. His uncle. Even the darkness seemed to turn into nothing. Then appearing before him stood a woman who introduced herself as Artemis. She offered him revenge if he joined her cause. Nick didn't hesitate and accepted the offer. Returning to the cell, it only took a matter of moments for Nick to break free and soon after that his uncle along with the monsters in the base, had all been slaughtered. That was the day Nick became a dark hunter. Now he continues his work under Artemis, killing any monster that threatens the peace. Likes: - Sweets - Night - Training Dislikes: - Monsters - Traitors - Bright lights Other: Dark hunter mark that appeared on his left shoulder blade after accepting the contract with Artemis Appearance:

Emilia Abbot
Having left the shackles of her home, Em strolled around town, her red eyes glowing in the darkness of the night. As usual, there was nothing to do but be forced to attend a party her family was invited to by one of the other noble families. She immediately refused and left the house, walking into the night. So here she was now, wandering around by herself on the streets with nothing better to do than walk. It was a quiet night, no one was really out except for a few drunkards who thought she was too pretty to be walking around by herself at such a late hour.
Brunette hair swayed back and forth as Em walked the streets, before the smell of blood had tickled her nose. There were two scents: human and demon. So a hunter was around? Interesting. Em swiftly but quietly made her way to the scene, peeking into the alley to see the hunter standing over the defeated target before it dissipated into nothing. She tilted her head, interested in the person who seemed to so easily defeat a demon. He looked a little young to be a hunter or at least, a good one. Before he could see she was staring, she quickly turned and acted like she was just passing by. Once she saw he left the alley, her eyes focused on the cut oozing crimson on his cheek. "You know you're bleeding right?" her monotone voiced cut through the silence of the night as she stood behind him.

As a voice spoke up, Nick turned his gaze to the source, a dark haired female with crimson eyes. It didn't take more than a second for Nick to have the feeling that the girl was a monster of some kind, but for now he didn't have much interest in killing her. Besides, if she wasn't actually a monster, simply a human that had been around monsters and picked up some of their aura, he'd get an earful from Artemis later. Better play it off nice.
Turning, Nick gave the girl a small smile, "It's nothing to worry about, just a little bit of an accident." Nick spoke calmly giving the back of his neck a small rub before wiping at the blood again. The cut was deeper than Nick had thought, it would probably take another minute or so for the bleeding to stop. Frigging demon. A moment later, Nick gave a small bow, "Sorry, I haven't introduced myself, my name is Nick." he spoke. He didn't care much for interacting with people, but if the person thought she needed to act since he was bleeding, Nick had to ensure that she wouldn't do anything to alert any monsters that may be lingering in the area. "You really shouldn't be out this late. It can get rather dangerous." he spoke his gaze flicking over to a drunkard as the man stumbled past them. He hated the smell of alcohol, the poison never did anyone any good, so why bother drinking it unless you're looking for problems.

As the male turned to look at her, Em stared at the sweet smelling blood that trickled down his face. She bit down on her lip to keep her hunger at bay, it wasn't always that she had the chance to drink or at least taste human blood. Living off of blood tablets could only stave off the inevitable for so long. Fake was never as good as the real thing.
The human shrugged off his injury but it looked quite deep. "I see. You should be more careful." Em warned him with a small nod of her head. She cleared her throat as she tried to get rid of the dry feeling in her throat. Being a vampire wasn't too bad, in fact she quite liked being a vampire. The only set back was the instinct to drink blood whenever she smelled or saw it. Once he introduced himself, Em curtseyed, introducing herself in return. "I'm Emilia Abbot. But you may call me Em." crimson orbs watched as another drunkard waltzed passed them, barely able to keep himself up. When Nick warned her about being out at night, she smirked. "Your concern is appreciated, but I can handle myself quite well." she told him with a small flip of her long hair. "Besides, I'm not the one with a bleeding cut on their face." the vampire continued.

Nick couldn't help the small smirk that came to his face as the girl who introduced herself as Emilia, or Em for short, seemed to be confident in walking around this late at night, even teasing him a bit about his cut. With a small shrug, Nick let out a small sigh "Fair enough. But this cut is nothing." he spoke stretching an arm across his chest. He'd been in fights that had done so much worse than just a gash to the face. Turning his blue eyes back onto Em, Nick spoke calmly "If you don't mind me asking. What are you doing out this late? Most people out at this time tend to be drunkards or 'escorts'." or monsters, Nick thought the last part to himself. Most people still didn't believe monsters roamed the streets, many hiding as humans until they were ready to strike. Those that didn't believe... tended to die off rather fast, by human hand or monsters.
At least with Crubon out of the picture, it would start being a bit safer for woman to walk around, both during the day and at night. He'd probably get news from Artemis in the next day or so about a new target. If that target was in this town or not wasn't his call. That was one of the two sided blades that came with being a hunter. On one hand it was nice to travel and see new places, but on the other, you never really got to stick around in the place you fight to protect. The longest he'd stayed in a town was roughly a month, and that was simply because the coward harpy wouldn't show herself.

Em noted the small smirk that appeared on Nick's face, one gracing her features as well. "Still, you should address it before it can become infected. One must take care of their bodies." the female instructed him. Being a vampire, she could just kiss it and it would heal instantly, but she had a feeling that for now, it would be best to conceal her true identity. She didn't want a hunter knowing too much about her or her family. When asked what she was doing wandering around, Em simply answered, "My family was invited to party, I didn't want to attend."
Crimson orbs glanced at every little detail of the hunter standing in front of her. His chestnut colored hair that fell in layers, his pale skin that was adorned with a few scars probably from his previous hunts and his striking blue eyes. They reminded her of someone close to her in her childhood. The nostalgia brought a small smile to her face. "May I ask what you are doing out here this late?"

Nick gave a small dismissive wave with a hand at her mentioning a possible infection "Eh, I wouldn't worry to much. I've got a pretty strong immune system." he spoke. "Not much of a people person?" he asked curiously when she mentioned not wanting to go to the party. He himself wasn't a people person, it had always been hard for him to make friends and after the incident he gave up any attempt to befriend someone. He noted Emilia's crimson eyes seeming to go over his body but pushed it aside.
As she asked about his reason for being out, Nick smirked a bit and looked up at the night sky for a moment. "Sleep issues. Plus, I like nighttime not many people moving about, and most of the ones that are-" Nick stopped and motioned towards a drunk teetering away across the street "aren't really in any shape to interact with." he spoke with a light chuckle. Something about the girl seemed odd, not in a monster way, it was something else entirely... what was it... Nick couldn't seem to put his finger on it.

Em shrugged at Nick's response, deciding to leave the topic of his injury alone now. She nodded when he asked if she wasn't a people person. It was quite exhausting having to socialize with so many vampires plus having to keep up her reputation her parents had created for her is even more tiresome. "Socialization is tiring." Em told him, her eyes trailing to look at the night sky.
"I agree. The night is quite calming. I have to walk with a parasol during the day, it can become a bit bothersome." Em mumbled as she played with the hem of her skirt. She looked at the drunk man that was making his way down the street across from them, a bored expression on her face as she looked. Her eyes went back to the person in front of her and she gave him a small smile. If she can conceal what she really was then there would be no problems. But she needs to find out a little more about this hunter. "Are you new to this town? I've never seen you around before."

As Emilia stated that socialization was tiring, Nick gave a small nod of agreement. He listened as she continued, noting her statement about having to carry a parasol around during the day. If she was a monster, she was most likely a vampire, but so long as she wasn't causing chaos or a target given to him by Artemis, Nick wasn't going to waste his energy. Hearing her question about him being new here, Nick gave a small nod, "Yeah, just got here last night. Don't know how long I'll be staying though." Nick spoke with a small chuckle. He tended to move around a lot, mostly for Artemis' targets, but sometimes just for personal reasons, he didn't intend on growing attached to anywhere.
"I assume you live here? Been here long?" Nick asked curiously. If she knew a lot about this town, then he could possibly ask her about certain locations types that draw monsters to them. That would be rather useful information.
