A young woman dressed in all white stood before an array. Graceful features with blue eyes, long lashed and red lips, she had a small stature but give off a noble aura. His long blond hair fluttered in an unseen wind. Around her stood also four other people, together forming a circle. Similarly dressed in white, aside from the young woman, their face were obscured by a hood. Together with the woman in white, they closed their eyes and raised their hands high to the sky. Circles and symbols littered the floor before them as seemingly nonsensical words parted from their lips.
Minutes pass with everything unchanging. Beads of sweat rolled down her forehead as the chant continued and as the unchanging scene continued on, a feeling of almost helplessness was starting to form on the young woman's face. Nonetheless she continued to chant.
'It must work...' It was the desperate cry of the woman's heart. 'This is our last resort...'
As if granting her hearts wish, the many array before her began to emit an almost blinding golden light.
'Hero.. HERO! Please answer our summon!'

It had been quite a long day for the young man known as Cole Hero, a young man who had just finished a double shift at his part time job after a few long hours of classes before that, was ready to pass out for an eternity. He had never been so exhausted before in his life, and it was showing as his entire body seemed to slouch as he entered his apartment complex, climbed the stairs, and eventually found his way into his small apartment.
Once inside, Cole grabbed whatever food he had readily available and collapsed onto his sofa, shoveling what he soon discovered to be an off brand cereal into his mouth. He devoured the box in a matter of minutes, tossing it aside in a tired haze as he began to fall into a deep, exhausted slumber.
But then it hit him. The light, shining all around his person. It was bright, insanely bright, and it blinded Cole as he attempted to shield his eyes, falling off the sofa and bouncing off the floor as he reached around on his coffee table for the remote, as if the TV had created such a bright light. The sounds of the inner city seemed to fade away, and were suddenly replaced with the sounds of nature, and incoherent chanting as the light slowly began to fade, and Cole fell onto his hands and knees in the center of a circle of strange individuals. "Wh---wha....where....h-how..." Cole stuttered, still slightly blinded from the light as he tried to grasp what had just happened. Was he dreaming?

The golden light continued to shine whilst the chant had finally come to a stop. The only sounds now were the fluttering of fabrics in the wind and the clink of armors and weapons from a set of knights that stood vigilantly behind the young woman. The light was now slowly ebbing away, shrinking smaller as it was drawn towards a certain figure, unmistakably male, that now sat in the middle of their circle. As the light completely disappeared into the young man, the four hooded figure all fell to their knees, body prostrating before him.
"Prauosu shu maurur!" they shouted in words that was no doubt be gibberish to the young man. But unfortunately the thought slipped them. They was an obvious hint of joy in their tone however. "Thu huri haus aunswuruk ier semmin."
While the hooded people continued to repeat their words over and over, the young woman who had yet to speak after the long ordeal, walked gracefully towards the young man. Her steps were slow, almost cautious, afraid as if the happenings before her was just a simple illusion that could shatter at any moment. How cruel would the gods be if that were to happen now, to jest her with a lie as such. It was only due to much desperation that had lead her to perform such a thing as summoning. So much had been sacrifice for this moment so failure was not an option.
Once she stood approximately three steps away from the young man, she lowered herself into a elegant curtsy.
"Huri frim aunishur wirlk... I wulcimu wie."
ooc; school + work = wanting to procrastinate translation: 'Praise the maker!" "The Hero has answered our summon." "Hero from another world... I welcome you."

Cole stared back at the hooded individuals around him with the most confused look he had ever formed on his face. They had been chanting gibberish before, but now, it was even worse. What was going on? Had he been kidnapped? Forced to be a sacrifice in a cult? ...WAS HE ALREADY DEAD?!? WAS THIS HELL!?!? Cole began to panic, but soon noticed a young woman approaching him. She was moving slowly, as if cautious of him, and that made him relax a little. After all, she didn't seem to have cruel intentions.
But then she spoke, and once again, letters seemed to fall from her mouth in no particular order. It was gibberish to him, and Cole didn't know how to treat this situation. "...I...uhm... I don't understand...?" Cole said carefully, slowly getting to his feet.

In a rather cute gesture, the woman tilted her head to the side in a little confusion of her own when the man spoke. Ara... did the translation magic not carry over from the summoning? Was there perhaps a slight delay? Unknown to the woman, the man that was summon was from a world where magic did not exist. Unlike in her own world where magic was an abundance like the very air they breathed and flowed freely within their veins, this world's air for Cole would probably feel like a heavy pressure pressing down on him. If she had known, she would have been amazed that he wasn't kneeling over from the pressure already. The reason was probably from Cole's special body and also his world's lack of magic being the reason of a delay in the magical application as Cole's body needed to absorb more of the magical air in order to tune itself with the new world.
How troublesome, the woman thought for a moment there but continued on smiling nonetheless as she gaze at the other. In a way... that unfazed smile might just appear a tad bit unsettling.
"Thiejh wie ki nis enkurssaunk, I ausr if wie si auccuphs mw huaurs fuls auphilijous fir whaus I aum aulies si ki."
The woman raised her hand, gesturing to the knights station behind her. Two immediately stepped forward and came to stand on either side of the Cole and grabbed his arms, their grip firm. They gave off a rather imposing aura as they were all battle worn veterans.
"Oncu wu caun jus shu sraunslausoin on uffucs, I woll ulphlauon uzurwshonj si wie." Looking somewhat apologetic as she spoke those words, she hoped he would not misunderstand her intentions. He was not their prisoner but as long as they could not understand each other, it seemed like force was the only option at the moment. She was afraid that he might just run for it. How troublesome that would be indeed. She needed to hurry and bring him back to the castle as quick as possible. Afterwards find a way to fix this problem and then explain everything to him.
"Lus es lu iff." She turned around and walked off. They two knights holding onto Cole promptly followed as they semi dragged him along, aptly ignoring any protest he would make. The hooded people remained prostrated on the ground whilst the remaining knight brought up the rear.
ooc; translation: "Though you do not understand, I hope you can accept my apologies for what I am about to do." "Once we can get the translation in effect, I will explain everything to you." "Let us be off."

Cole watched, his feeling turning from confusion to fear as the woman's smile never seemed to fade. It was as if...she understood he couldn't understand. But she didn't care? What kind of psychopath was this woman!?!? Cole was starting to work himself up again, and so as soon as he stood up on both feet he made a run for it...or well...tried to. Once he had both feet planted on the ground the true weight of the air around him hit him, and he fell back to his knees with a thud. Cole winced as he looked back up at the woman. What was going on!?! She just kept speaking gibberish and staring at him with those wide eyes...
And then the guards approached, yanking him up by each arm roughly before dragging him along towards a carriage. Cole gasped, suddenly realizing his life was in danger before he began to struggle. "I-I don't know what kind of weird larping stuff you guys are doing but I don't want to be apart of it! L-let me go! Right now! H-hey! Are you listening to me!?!..." Cole continued on like this for the duration of the trip to the carriage, kicking his legs as much as he could in an attempt to free his comparably small frame from the two large guards.

Seeing that the summoned man was indeed struggling, she once again apologized for her discourtesy and had her knights tighten their hold. Not like he knew she was apologizing however but it certainly could not be helped. They had to be cautious as there was no knowing what sort of power a summoned person had. He could awaken to them at any given moment. The last person to be summoned happened over 500 years ago and there was little to no records left behind except a journal or two that was written by the summoner of that time. They were just cryptic records that took her people years to finally decode.
The place of the summoning was an open air temple with long white pillars on all side. In-between every few pillar would be statues of finely robed figures of different men and women. They were the gods and goddesses of this world. To Cole, he could probably compare this temple to the Greek or Roman structure of his world. Exiting the temple, they then proceeded down a set of stairs that descends into a forest where a carriage awaited them at the end.
Having her knights 'help' Cole inside, they sandwiched him between them on one side of the carriage while she sat alone opposite them. Giving the wall of the carriage two quick taps, a signal for the driver to set off, the carriage jerked forwarded. The sounds of creaking woods and the clacking of horseshoes surrounded them. After what seemed like an eternity, her big blue eyes finally locked on Cole since the moment she had entered the carriage, she had kept them closed.
"Caun wie understand mu now?" Her words to Cole were now less gibberish to him.
ooc; brother had to use the computer earlier for work. fell asleep. now its so late qq. 4 am. le sigh translation: "Can you understand me now?"

Cole continued to struggle, kick, and complain as he was dragged through the rest of the temple, down the stairs, and threw him into a carriage. He groaned, feeling moderately uncomfortable between the two large guards. The carriage took off and they began to ride away from the odd temple...in silence. Sanity breaking silence. Cole kept quiet, realizing that there really was no chance of escape, but then he saw a flash of blue, and looked up to see the woman looking at him once more.
She opened her mouth and tried to speak once more. What? Did he....did he understand her? He didn't understand everything, but some of the words...was it english? "....I....n-not completely...no....." Cole said, shifting slightly in his seat.

To her, his word was similarly the same. Broken with a few understandable words spoken in her own language. Her eyes seemed to light up somewhat at that improvement. A small improvement but she nonetheless felt a budding of hope build up inside her chest.
"Wonderful!" With hands clenched tightly on her lap, she lean forward towards him. "Mauwlu os will not lu long lufiru wie caun understand mu. Dius wie body fuul aunw different cimphauru si before?"
How fortunate that what words that translated itself to Cole could be easily put together to be understood. It must be the gods blessing them today for such conveniences.
Asking if his body felt any different compared to before, she wonder if he could now feel the magic of her world inside him. For newly awaken magic user, it was like a heavy pressure pressing down upon their body and the magic essences inside of them which was called mana, would flow uncontrollably in their veins. It was a law that all those who possess talent in magic be properly trained. An untrained mage would only be a threat to the world as magic left uncontrolled will only build up inside the body, making them into a walking bomb that can blow up any given time.
Was the feeling the same for a summoned person? Sadly such knowledge was unknown to her.
ooc; post edited. added some extra bits. translation: "Maybe it will not be long before you can understand me." "Does your body feel any different compared to before?"

Cole jumped a little as the woman leaned towards him, not expecting her sudden excitement in there ability to communicate. How were they now able to communicate suddenly anyways!?! That wasn't how language worked...was it? He had never been to another country...maybe you just naturally picked up on other languages? No. That didn't make any sense. But this woman...she seemed to be slowly progressing into english...so maybe there was something to it?
"Uhm....I....ok. I think I understand? I...I feel a pressure." He said, motioning with his hands as if something was pressing down on his chest. "And...like...my blood...feels heavier..." Cole said, not sure how else to describe the feeling. "H-how are you learning to speak my language so quickly?"

Though the young woman still had trouble understanding him, she could understand most of it by his gestures alone. His last question however, she couldn't understand. Looking apologetic, she shook her head. It seems like more time was needed. But how much longer? Time was precious commodity she could not afford to waste.
A sigh parting her lips, she leaned back into her seat. Her hands that she had clenched tightly on her lap slowly began to loosen as she composed herself. Her earlier act of excitement all but dissipated. It was embarrassing enough that she had allow the young man to see her behave as such. It was unfitting of someone of her status.
"Thiejh I rniw shaus wie caun nis enkurssaunk mu, I caun inlw ausruk shaus wie trust mu fir niw." She spoke with conviction, hoping that he would grasps the meaning of her words.
"Oncu wu are aullu si speak wosh inu aunishur, I woll explain uzurwshonj si you." Looking at him, her blue eyes piercing, "Ank whun shaus somu cimus, wu pray shaus wie woll accept ier sulfosh request... fir wie auru our inlw hope."
ooc; translation: ""Though I know that you can not understand me right now, I can only asked that you trust me for now."
