All was seemingly right in the wizarding world after the defeat of Voldemort. Things were going back to how they were, school was back in session and there were times of peace. Many thought it was going to last but the recent attacks has put everyone on edge. There is someone following in the footsteps of the previous Dark Lord and wants to finish what they started. The students of Hogwarts are unaware of this recent activity, the Head Master deciding that they should focus on school and not worry themselves. It was going well, until the school was attacked by this copy cat, hoping to target the descends of those whose relatives took part in the great battle. Four students get dragged into the mist of all this, just adding stress onto their already busy school lives. And just when they had the OWL"s to think about.

Name: River Alexandria Storm
Age: 16
House: Hufflepuff
Bio:River's life wasn't typically normal. Her mother was a free spirit and a very spiritual being. Most would look upon her and call her a hippie but Ivy never liked labels and said she was who she was. So River grew up in a very accepting environment but it was hard. Her mother ran a shop that sold herbs and gems and other items, but a to of the time River was left to look after the shop when her mom when on her 'spirit retreat's'. Of course she never ran it on her own while she was young. The other employees took care of her and they were a part of her family, even though they weren't blood related. She thought her life was always going to be like this, until she got her first letter to Hogwarts. River was ecstatic and a bit hurt that her mother never told her, but her mother never knew. She was strictly muggle and her father, well, that is unknown to the both of them since Ivy met River's father on one of her week long trips.
Personality: Personality:
River is a very relaxed and a go with the flow kind of person. She has a level head when dealing with most things but she does sometimes let her temper get the better of her. She's very nurturing and motherly to younger students and knows when to be stern. She also doesn't easily back down when she believes in what she is doing. River has a huge heart and sometimes that clouds her judgement of people, but her mother always told her to never judge a book by it's cover and she lives by that motto. River enjoys parties and flirting occasionally but those aren't her number one focus. She is driven to be better than she is, and is always pushing herself past her limits. She's very hard on herself when she makes mistakes and only wants to be better so she can protect those she cares about.

Name: Collin Xavier Masters
Age: 16
House: Slyterin
Bio: Collin was born into a pureblooded wizarding family. They are not quiet as well known as say the Dracos but their name is out there. Of course, they weren't raised as ignorant or arrogant as they. Collin is the youngest out of the family, his sister being only a year older than he is. Growing up the two got in constant trouble, giving their parents grey hairs at an early age, but the two have long since settled down. Of course, Collins still likes to stir up trouble every know at then, mostly at school just for the fun of it. Both Collin and his sister, who belongs to Ravenclaw, play on the quidditch team and while they do care for one another on the field it's a totally different matter entirely.
Personality: Collin is a big arrogant. Not int he sense he believes his blood is better than that of a muggle born, but he just believes he can do mostly anything. This is far from the truth but Collin can be very stubborn and very persistence. He's some what of a flirt and enjoys teasing others, as well as pulling off pranks whenever he can. Many believe Collin was put into the wrong house due to his rather joking nature, but it comes as no surprise to him. He is coy and cunning and can usually sweet talk his way out or into anything if he really wants something.

Name: Lilly Luna Potter
Age: 16
House: Gryffindor
Bio: Lilly had a very happy childhood, full of fantastical tales of her parents adventures in their youth. She and her two brothers got a long well, most the time. There would sometimes try to keep her out of their fun, but Lilly was stubborn, and persistent, and she definitely had persuasive ways. She lived happily with her two brothers and parents, and it was absolutely estatic to recieve her hogwarts letter. Lilly was detirmined to prove herself, not only to everyone else, but her parents too. They had both done so much, more than anything, she wanted to make them proud. Following in her parents footsteps, she tried out for the Gryffindor Quidditch team the first chance she got, and made the spot of seeker. Also trying to live up to her parents reputations, she often goes looking for adventures in school.
Personality: Lilly is a spunky and outgoing kind of girl. She is bold and adventures and is pretty much always looking for fun. Her heart is pure and her intentions good. Though, she can be extremely stubborn and will battle arguments long after she has lost.

Name: James Damon Holbrook
Age: 16
House: Ravenclaw
Bio: James was muggle born, and as a kid his face was always buried in a book. He loved to learn and expand his knowledge. It came as quite a shockto both him and his parents when he received his hogwarts letter. There was actually a moment when he wondered if it was a joke. However, it was definitely not a joke and he couldn't be happier about that.
Personality: Unlike most ravenclaws, James is not arrogant. He can come off as a know-it-all at times, but never on purpose. He would never intentionally make someone feel stupid. He is kind-hearted and seeks to help those in need, whether they ask for it or not.

Lilly Luna Potter

Lilly was absolutely estactic to be back at Hogwarts. It was a month into ther term and it seemed to be going great so far. She had gotten enough O.W.L.S. to take all the courses she needed to become an auror, and they were all going great so far. Besides that, quidditch tryouts had come and gone, and practices had started. Their first match was against Slytherin was in a few weeks. Lilly was feeling pretty confident about it. The weather was looking decent so far, and the had just had a weekend full of very successful practices.

It was early this Monday morning, Lilly had awoken only a few minutes ago and was just climbing out of her fourposter bed in the gryffindor tower. After pulling on her robes and taming her hair she headed down the steps of the dormitories and exited the common room through the portrait hole. After which she descended the marble stair cases to the Great Hall for breakfast.

James Damon Holbrook

Being somewhat of an early riser, James was already in the Great Hall this morning. He liked to have a couple of hours to study before classes started. He had received a large number of outstanding O.W.L.S. to pretty much go into any career he wanted. However, he was still unsure about which career he wanted to go into. Therefore he was taking a few extra courses, just until he decided.

The workload would have been too much for most students, but James didn't really have a problem with it. He actually kind of enjoyed it. Even now, as he was nibbling on a piece of toast as he read over some chapters from a variety of textbooks.

Collin, after making his way to the Great Hall for breakfast, couldn't help but smirk at the annoyed faces of some of the Gryffindor House students. It was so easy to get a rise out of them. They should know by now that Collin only made off handed comments to rile them up. Especially around Quidditch season. The sandy blonde haired male made a mental note about being finished so he could focus on food when one of his favorite members of Gryffindor entered the hall. Ah what was one more comment? "I think Gryffindor actually has a chance this year, as long as their seeker doesn't choke." he stated rather loudly to his fellow Slytherin housemates, his eyes on Lilly as he did so. Collin wasn't so stupid as to think Gryffindor wasn't a threat on the pitch. That'd be a pretty fatal mistake to make, but he would never let the other hose know that. He liked getting on their nerves. Plus it was a lot easier to do than Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, that was for sure.

Collin was also using this match and the build up towards it as a means of escape. With all the stress of them doing good on their OWL's and trying to find a career path before their final year, Collin needed something to distract him. Quidditch was a pretty good way to do that. "Right Potter?" he asked, a teasing smirk playing on his lips. Collin didn't mean anything by it. He wasn't a douche. Okay well he wasn't a total douche, but teasing was part of who he was. Sometimes he took it a bit to far, he could admit that. He didn't know when to stop talking sometimes. A trait that ended up getting him in trouble more times than he'd like to admit.

/////

River let out a huff as she stared at the work she had in front of her. A healer was the path River was 99,9% certain she wanted to go down. She liked the idea of being able to help others, it was something she was just drawn too. That and plants, but the only job RIver could really see herself doing invovling plants would be working here at Hogwarts as a professor. Though the blonde did have a not so secret love and fascination with dragons, though River didn't think her mother would be thrilled at the idea of her being a dragon keeper, or even a dragonologist. A soft sight left her lips at the thought before she glanced at the most recent letter she got from her. She missed her mother and her home, she truly did, but from how her mother was writing to her, she knew the other women was expecting River to come back and continue living life as she usually did. Only with a bit of magic in it this time around. Though she wasn't going to think about that. She still had another year after this one.

Reaching for some food she grabbed a bowl of fruit and took two apples before the bowl of fruit was snatched out of her hands by one of her more eager housemates. River watched with a small smile as Edmund tried to get a few pieces of fruit onto his plate but Raven flicked her wand in his direction, causing the fruit to fall all over his plate and onto him. Biting back a chuckle River just shook her head before casting her gaze around the Great Hall, trying to spot her friends. Collin was the first she spotted. mainly due to the fact he was easy to spot with the scene he was making. next was Lilly who was just entered and the last was James. Glancing back at both Lilly and Collin she shot James a look before shaking her head. She loved her friends, she truly did, but she sometimes wondered how Lilly put up with Collin's hot headed personality.

A smirk crawl across Collin's lip at her resort. It was cute how she thought that. Maybe the if the team had more players like Lilly, then sure, he'd consider the option, but he viewed the rest of the team as lazy and over confident. An attribute most Gryffindor students had. Now he was some what arrogant in thinking this but hey, he was allowed to be arrogant. Colin just knew what he was good at, and Quidditch was one of the things he was good at. If his father didn't view this as pleasure rather than a passion or a career Collin would love to look into playing it professionally. Though he wouldn't waste his time on thoughts like that. He had to focus on an actual career. For his father's sake.

Watching the red head walk away Collin didn't look away until she sat. He mulled over a few things in his mind before he moved away from the Slytherin table. He never understood the whole, 'sit with her own group' rule that was in place. If the school didn't want the houses so separated why make a big deal about it? That's how he viewed it. Taking up the seat beside his favorite Gryffindor he flashed her another smirk, resting his chin in the palm of his hand as he placed his elbow on the table. "Want to make a bet out of it?" he asked about the game. Collin lived for the thrill of it, the adrenaline but why not add something a bit more personal too it.

River let out a small sigh in response to James question, looking down at her books before looking back up at him and pouting. School work was always so boring. Sure it was more entertaining then all the muggle works he had back when she was younger but it still sucked! "I'm ready to fly my broom into the Whomping Willow at this point." she replied. It was times like this that she wished she was a Ravenclaw, only for the sole fact that they all seemed to have photogenic memories or something. It was so unfair. "What about you?" she questioned since she knew James had very good test scores but no general idea of what he wanted to do. Though she was sure any thing he decided on would be willing to have him. He was both smart and talented as a wizard. Who wouldn't want to hire that?

"I'm glad we have another year after this. I don't think I could manage the stress of figuring out what to do with the rest of my life and having to get ready to go out and actually do it." River said with a shake of her head. Plus she didn't want to rush the time she had left here. She loved it here. Hogwarts was a place she felt like she truly belonged. A home she didn't know she was looking for but found it. Plus she wanted to be with her friends as much as possible. She knew once they all left here it would be hard to see everyone like they did now, but she would keep in contact with them! No way would she lose touch.

Lilly Potter & James Holbrook
................................................................................................

Lilly smirked at Collin as he came to sit next to her. "Who invited you?" She asked teasingly, but that's all it was, was teasing. Lilly actually enjoyed that Collin had come to sit next to her, even if some of the other Gryffindors or Slytherins didn't. They were friends, so why shouldn't they sit next to each other? It didn't matter to Lilly that they were in different houses, or even that their particular houses were suppose to be rivals of a sort.

"A bet? Hmm..." Lilly raised an eyebrow at him and seemed to muse over the idea in her head for a few moments. "A bet might give you a little extra motivation... You might need that." Lilly let out a small musical laugh and smiled at him. "But, what is it we are betting on?" Lilly wondered if maybe she shouldn't have agreed to a bet before she actually knew what the bet was. She eyed him suspiciously, taking not of the mischievous smirk on his lips.

James gave a small laugh when River mentioned that she was ready to fly her broom into the Whomping Willow. James then collected his massive amount of books and tossed them in his bag before walking over to the Hufflepuff table and taking a seat next to River. The four of them could often be found sitting away from their House Seating. When your best friends were in different houses, presumed seating didn't seem to matter much anymore. "I feel you... Honestly, I don't mind the work... It's the fact that I can't seem to decide what I want to do with my future. There are just too many options." James let out a little sigh, shaking his head slightly.

"I'm glad as well... I mean beyond the fact that I am still completely undecided, I don't think I'm ready to say good bye to this place." The thought of leaving Hogwarts was an exciting prospect, but it was just as equally depressing. Besides the fact that Hogwarts was like a home to him, he wasn't ready to say good bye to his friends either. They would of course stay in touch, friendships like this didn't just suddenly die, but it would be different. They wouldn't see each other every day for meals, in the corridors, or even classes. They would all have different careers in different places.

"Myself." Collin replied back with a grin, ignoring the whispers and comments about him from the other house. It wasn't like he hadn't done this before. He sat at the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff table too to visit his other friends. He saw other students do it all the time too. he had no idea why everyone made such a big deal about it. Honestly. "Do I need your permission now? You taking over River's role as mother hen?" he cared for his friends, he truly did, but River sometimes could get over barring at how much she fretted over every little thing. In his own opinion, and he had voiced this many many times, she just needed to get herself laid. It was a simple solution really. One that he got himself hit over each time he brought it up.

Collin scoffed at her words, giving her a playful roll of his eyes. Please, he could play this game with his eyes closed! As she asked Collin's eyes lit up. Oh this would be gun. "If by some miracle your house wins you can decide what my punishment is. Being your house elf for a month, do your work. Whatever." he told her with a shrug. He wasn't really concerned with the idea because he was plenty sure it was not going to happen."I was thinking when my house wins you accompany me to Hogsmeade, for a date." Collin knew he didn't have the best track record. Many considered him a player - and well , they were only half right really - but he had been trying to find a way to ask Lilly with out it coming off that way. Or ruining their friendship. After talking to his sister about it, something he swore her never to tell anyone, he came to the decision to go for it. The worst she could do was say no.

River cleared off the spot next to her as James started to make his way over, giving him a warm smile as he sat down next to her. At his words though her smile seemed to fall some. She hated it when her friends were down. "Options that you want or what people want you to take?" she asked. River was a believer of following your heart and doing what made you happy. It's what her mother had always taught her and it was something she lived by. Why go into a field of work if it didn't make you happy? It would only make one miserable for the rest of their life. "You should always do what makes you happiest, or with what your gut tells you." usually your gut instinct was always right. She wouldn't say she lived by making decision based on gut instinct but she never over looked it. Sometimes smarts didn't always have the answer.

Casting her gaze around the great hall a soft sigh left her light pink lips. "Me either." she said softly. She fell in love with magic at this place, learned what it was, how to use it. "It's going to be strange." she murmured. She couldn't imagine her life with out Lilly's adventitious attitude, Collin's constant jokes and James seemingly endless knowledge. "But we do have another year, don't get me all emotional already." she said as she lightly batted at his arm.

"Me? Motherhen? No way." Lilly said with a light laugh. "I don't think I'm responsible enough for that role. I get into too much trouble." Which was true, of course Lilly was never really purposefully seeking out trouble. It just always seemed to find her no matter where she went. That... Or she got carried away looking for adventures. She had drug River into many of them with her, always receiving a lecture afterwards of how she needs to be more careful.

Lilly smirked over at Collin. "Oh the things I would make you do as my house elf..." Lilly mused. "Are you sure you want to submit yourself to that?" Lilly said, feeling quite confident that it would be Gryffindor that won and not Slytherin. At his suggestion that she would owe him a date of she lost, her green eyes widened a bit. She stared at him for a moment, wondering if he was joking. When she saw that he wasn't her cheeks turned slightly pink but she smiled. "Sounds like we have a deal." Lilly said, holding her hand out to him. She still wanted to win the match, but somehow the idea of a date with Collin was equally tempting.

☽ ✴ ☾

"Well... I guess both."
James said in response to River's question. There were many career paths he could see himself walking down, but there were also the pressures of making his family and professors proud. There was that need to impress everyone and live up to Their expectations. James smiled at her when she told him he should always do what makes him happy. "Thanks, River. That's good advice."

"It will be strange." He murmured, looking around the Great Hall just as She had. He honestly couldn't imagine not eating in this beautiful room with the enchanted ceiling and floating candles. He would miss Hogwarts. "I know we will all stay in touch... But I will miss not seeing you every day... And believe it or not, I think I'll miss Lilly's and Collin's constant mischief making." James lifted his eyes to find them both at the Gryffindor table, shaking hands. "Speaking of which... What kind of troublebdo you think they are stirring up now?" James gave a small laugh when River baatted his arm lightly. "Yes, you are right. We should enjoy the time we have left. Make the best of it."

It was one of the reason's why he and Lilly got along so well. The fact that they both got into so much trouble. Sure James and River did too, but mainly because either he or Lilly dragged the two of them into their half-baked and reckless ideas. It was refreshing to have a friend to do act first then think later. His sister wasn't to fond of the whole thing, but hey, they were only teenages after all. These were the years that they were suppose to get into trouble and be reckless. They only had so much time left because they were tossed out into the real world trying to find jobs or further their education. "I can take it. I'm sure my sister put me through worse." he said. Bianca could be very devious when she wanted too. He was actually surprised the blonde had been put into Ravenclaw over Slytherin due to all the torture she put him through. Then again he was grateful he didn't have to share a living space with his sister for his whole time at Hogwarts. That would have been hell in itself.

Seeing her blush a grin tugged at the corner of his lips, eyes lit up. So she was not repulsed by the idea. Good. That just means this wasn't totally one sided and he didn't make a fool out of himself. Taking her hand he shook on the deal, his excitement for the game growing ten fold. "Great, can't wait to get that date." he said before he took some food from the arrangement in front of them. "What you thinking about going into?" he asked curiously. His sister wanted to be part of the Ministry, the Law division, and he had thought about it. Though it wasn't something he was set on. Maybe having Lilly talk about what she wanted could help him either get an idea or rule something out.

River frowned at his response. Well that was unfair, and crude. No one should force anyone into anything. People didn't stick to those jobs if they did.Hello, had they learned nothing going through all those Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers in the past? Morons. As he smiled at her River flashed him a small one back, fighting down a small blush. "I'm always here to help!" and she would be even when they weren't around. Hufflepuff loyalty in her and all. "And you still have time to decide, and whatever it is, you'll excel at it."

A soft giggle left her lips at his words about Collin and Lilly. The world would be a quieter place with out those two around. With their constant bets, arguments and so on. At his question River's sky blue orbs shifted onto the two of them and she let out a slow breath. "Oh Merlin only knows. Hopefully it doesn't involve them racing around Hogwarts again." the last time that happened they had crashed into the Whomping Willow, brooms and limbs broken from the ordeal. "Or sneaking back out into the Forbidden Forest to catch a werewolf." now that had been an interesting year. She couldn't remember who suggested the idea but they had been dead set on finding one for one reason or another. They hadn't caught a werewolf but they did stumble upon some not so friendly creatures. "I'm guessing that means taking part in breaking more rules, and social events?" she asked with a small smile. She was hardly one to break the rules on purpose, unless it was for a good reason, but she did agree. They would have to make the best of it and enjoy it as much as possible. That means relaxing and not being so uptight, as she had been told.

Lilly Potter & James Holbrook
................................................................................................

Lilly gave a small laugh when Collin mentioned his sister. Lilly had only met the feisty blonde girl on a few occasions, but she definitely was perfectly capable of giving Collin hell whenever she disagreed with Collin's actions. Bianca's lectures were even more intense than River's or Jame's. They had, however, yet to be directed at Lilly. She had only had the privilege of witneessing it happening to Collin once. "Well, I wish you luck in the match." Lilly said, quite sincerly. A moment later though, she was smirking once more at him. "You'll need it."

Lilly then followed suit and began scooping some eggs and other such breakfast items on her plate. "We'll..." Lilly peaked up at him with her green eyes. Oddly enough they had never spoken of what they planned to do with their futures. She had mentioned it in passing to River, but other than she hadn't really mentioned it to anyone. "I want to be an auror like my father." Lilly said, looking up at him to see what he thought of it. "Not just because of my father though. Its honestly what I want to do with my life. What about you?"

☽ ✴ ☾

James smiled at her words, this time It was him that was fighting down a small blush. "Thank you... But you know, I'm really not that great at everything." James had always been known for being rather humble, but there really wasn't a subject he did bad in. There were just some that he did better in than others.

James laughed when she mentioned their memories and past adventures. "Even with all their broken bones... They didn't regret it."James said with a laugh. Now, the forbidden forest, that had been a little less fun. At least for him and River. Lilly and Collin had somehow managed to keep their cool. If they were scared, they had never shown signs of it.
