Kayl Ardrus De'Valaer
Probability || None Wakes on his second day in the school...
╔═══════════════════
~ Again the darkness comes, a cool damp night, screaming muffled in the distance. Everything shifted in place, until again the realization that it wasn’t everything around him that was moving, but him… being carried? again? ‘The head mistress... so big once more... What is this... am I... a child?’ As the scene charges down a hall, the large door swings open, and like before a man standing just along a large desk and decorative chair steps around. This man, this man... ‘Of course… father...’ his mind once again tried to make sense of what is around him, and he feels as though everything is starting to spin just as the man reaches and picks him up. Like the head mistress, he is a giant in this place, and for a moment he can hear the man’s voice as he looks down upon him. "My son!!!..." The man said, his voice swelling with pride, the mistress smiling as before as she looked down at him. And just as before, suddenly everything started to get muffled and go silent, the mistress's face turning sullen, and she looked up at the man, speaking words that he could barely make out. As if he was straining to hear it, the sounds came in and out and he only heard one thing before falling into a swirling abyss, the sound of his fathers voice. ""Kill it..." He reaches out to his father as the scene pulls from him, as if falling once more, the two giants moved further away and as they stretched out into oblivion. The last words echoing over and over. "Kill it, Kill it... Kill it!..." ~
Waking in a sudden and brazen manner, Kayl nearly jumped out of his bed as his arms reached up to grab hold of whatever was around him. Knocking over some of his bags, Kayl quickly steadied himself and started to come to his senses as he took a few breaths. He looked around for a moment and leaned forward, sitting up in his bed as he brought his hands up and rubbed his face almost angrily. "Again!... WHY!..." He yelled out as he grabbed a pillow and threw it across the room. As he took a few more breaths and tried to calm down, Kayl started to reflect on his dream, this one was a bit different. It was as if he was remembering events in the dream, as it was happening, that had never happened before. The dream was getting worse, he had already accepted it was something he would have to deal with, and was trying to figure out what parts of his dreams were dreams, and what parts were memories, but this time. Shaking his head for a moment, he pushed that thought away as he tried remember the new parts of the dream. What was it he heard at the end?... 'Kill it...'
"That was my father's voice... What did he mean?" Kayl said aloud as he tried to remember. He closed his eyes as he tried to remember the full dream, but it was all that he could visualize. 'Is this real?' Kayl thought as he tried to put together what it could mean. Certainly his father couldn't have meant him right? He has been loved and cared for all his life, his father couldn't possibly have meant it for him... right? Shaking off the thought Kayl tried to clear his head and not think about it. This recurring nightmare had always gotten him riled up whenever he had it, but this was the worse yet. Maybe something to take his mind off of it was in order.
Standing and looking around the room, it didn't take long for Kayl to take note of something that could do just that. The room that he was in was fairly bland on his side, with empty walls and and empty desk. If he was going to be living here for the next few years, it would probably do to make it a bit more his own. Reaching down and grabbing one of his many bags, Kayl emptied out the contents onto his bed before starting to place them around the room. Slowly, as he placed books around the shelves and desks and hanged pictures of academic sciences and magical studies around the walls, his side of the dorm started to look like a small library of its own. When he was done he looked around the room with a satisfied smirk and nodded lightly before gathering up his clothing, and looking through for something clean to wear.
The under armor garments of his gear were normally simple embroidered slacks and tunics, often red or black in color which was in tune with his families crest. Above that he would don light armor plating around specific areas which would come together to form a very formal noble's attire, complete with a white and gold open cast tunic. Clipping his crested gold earring on, Kayl head to the door to start his day of exploration, he wondered where he might go first, thinking about how much there might have been to see. After cleaning up and setting the room how he liked it, he took note of the thin blade that he had placed at his bedside. 'Perhaps a little training?' He thought to himself almost as an answer to where he should go first. Grabbing the blade on his way out, he smiled lightly as he clipped it to the side of his waist. As he exited, Kayl looked back into the room as some thoughts of his dream crept close once more. Sighing lightly, he shook his head and left the dorm, closing the door behind him.

Kayl Ardrus De'Valaer
Probability || None Wakes on the 2nd day of the festival...
╔═══════════════════
Waking rather lazily to the sound of birds chirping by the window. Kayl yawned lightly as he started to stretch his sore muscles. After walking around in the cold the previous day, his body was slightly achy, but not enough to keep him from wanting to move. As he stretched and rolled to the side of the bed, Kayl's eyes gazed onto the partially opened drawer of the nightstand by his bed, and smiled lightly as he remember the events of the night. They had fun for most of the day, speaking back and forth of human and Fae traditions and the like. The warmth, coupled with the exhaustion of dealing with the cold must have been too much for Silme. Kayl was lucky he had noticed when he did, if Silme had fallen there was no telling whether he could've noticed. When he returned home the previous night, he was careful when he moved her from his cloak's hood to the bed.
Kayl was glad he was able to prepare something for Silme, he couldn't have very well let her sleep in his bed, as he could've crush her in his sleep. When he was looking around trying to figure out what to do, seeing his roommate's belongings reminded him that he also had to consider keeping Silme a secret. So he thought of the safest place he could keep her, while keeping her warm and comfortable. The drawer in his bedside nightstand was perfect. Using a few of his folded tunics, he placed them in the drawer in a makeshift bed, and made a makeshift pillow out of one of his gloves. It was a little big for her, but he made sure it wasn't too thick, so that she could lay comfortably against it, almost surrounded all around. She was still soundly sleeping under one of his handkerchiefs, so Kayl didn't want to wake her if he could help it. Taking care not to be too loud, Kayl got ready for the morning and got dressed for the new day. He left the blinds close as to not let in too much light, and lit a single candle for him to see.
After putting on a new set of clothes, a nice white tunic with red and gold trims, with a set of black slacks that had a similar gold accent. Kayl popped his boots on, and quickly clasped his cloak on in the same fashion as the night before. He looked down at the drawer that held Silme safe and warm, and smiled lightly as he thought of her. Kayl wasn't sure if she would actually wake before he returned, since for some reason he knew that they could sleep the day away easily, especially this time of year, but he didn't want to take the chance in case she did. He pulled the drawer open very slowly in order to leave her a note, so that she wouldn't be frightened if and when she woke. He made sure to leave her some food as well, mostly dried fruits and other vegetables that wouldn't spoil through the night, and then closed the drawer until it was only open a smidge. Closed enough that it would hide her well, but open enough that she could easily come out if she woke, Kayl let go of the drawer and smiled once more. "Forgive me Silme, I would have stayed with you, but I already had other arrangements for today, and I don't want to be rude," Kayl whispered lightly as he made his way to the door. "Sleep well my friend," He said before blowing out the one candle that was lit, and leaving his dorm for the festivities.

╔═══════════════════ While the festival had been exciting and full of splendor, Lelyna found that her body didn’t agree with being out in the cold for so long. After returning to her room, Mikhail had made sure she was safe and comfortable before adjourning to his own dormitory. Lelyna hadn’t hesitated to dress in one of her warmest night gowns before slipping into her cold bed. She’d shivered there, huddled around one of her pillows, desperately trying to get warm while her body worked to warm the sheets. Eventually, her shivering had subsided, and she’d fallen asleep, her little fire alighting the room and providing more warmth to keep her comfortable while she rested.
But as morning came, she didn’t wake up at her normal time. Normally she’d awaken with the sun, arising to start her day as the birds began to sing in the trees. But as the sun rose above the horizon, Lelyna remained huddled in her bed, her body refusing to awaken. It wasn’t until Mikhail knocked upon her door that she finally awoke, realizing the late hour. By then, her fire had snuffed out and her room had cooled considerably. Poking her head out of her covers, she’d sighed lightly. Her body protested, but she slipped from the warmth of her covers to answer her door.
Lelyna was surprised to greet Mikhail. Smiling, she listened as he explained his plans for them to spend the day together in his room, where they could be alone and enjoy one another’s company. Agreeing to his plan, Lelyna was quick to dress in something warm, before allowing him to lead her to his dormitory. With the second day of the festival in full swing, there were hardly any other students around, so sneaking into the dorm was rather easy for them. Once inside his and Kayl’s room, Mikhail led her to his bed. She happily slipped under his warm, thick blanket and cuddled his pillow.
Whilst Mikhail gathered what he needed for their day together, Lelyna happily snuggled with his pillow, lightly dozing as she rested and soaked in the heat from his fire. At some point, she must had slept, because before she knew it, Mikhail was back. Smiling to herself, she nuzzled his pillow – it smelled just like him and it was so soft. She was halfway tempted to steal it…Sitting up, taking his pillow with her, she smiled, sensing that he was looking at her in amusement. “What? It smells like you…” It was a suitable, temporary replacement for him while he was gone, but now that he was back, she wanted to cuddle with the real thing. “What goodies did you gather, darling?” She asked, curious as to what he was up to.

--------------------------------------------------------------SILME ------▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂
Deep in her slumber, the fae’s wings would beat several times as Kayl left the small woman in his dresser in the makeshift bed. Dreaming of better times, she would be a child again, tagging along with her grandfather on some trip. They flew along the edge of the forest while the smaller Silme would be busy with sightseeing rather than paying attention to where she was flying. This caused her to almost fly into a tree, while she flew to catch up in her dream. ”Grandfather, where are we going?” Silme asked while her smaller wings beat endlessly behind. The elder looking fae turned back to his apprentice and chuckled to himself, ruffling her hair. ”Just on a simple stroll, my child. We have something to discuss.” He guided young Silme around the outskirts of their home. ”I know you’ve been quite studious in preparation for our lessons when we can begin, but you’re still young. You have to step outside and experience your younger decades with the other children.” He offered a warm smile as Silme did the same. The younger fae would flutter in front of him, still moving along as she brings both hands together. ”I know! But I want to be the best Farseer I can be! And you don’t ever get a chance to rest or play or anything. I should at least prepare myself for anything that might happen!” The older one let out a hearty chuckle. Silme replied by making a surprised face at what she thought was a fairly mature answer. She then ran into one of the guards patrolling the borders, and after a hurricane of apologies, she and her grandfather moved once more. ”My dear child, you can’t possibly prepare for every single action that may fall upon our home. Nobody can, not even myself, and I am the Faseer. You will learn in time that childhood is a fleeting thing. Enjoy your youth. Your place among the Farseers will arrive soon enough.” A hand was placed on her head again. ”You’ve already grown so much this far. Words cannot express how proud I am of you my dear Syl-”
The dream became jittery as Silme rolled around in her sleep. The sentence would loop endlessly, again and again. Her brows furrowed as more voices made themselves known. One sounded familiar though she couldn’t place her finger on it. The other was fairly new. She gripped her head as her body began to rise from her resting place. Frantically flying around in erratic patterns, Silme began to repeat what was in her dreams. ”Sil...Sil...Sil...Ren...renya...Sil...renya...” A sudden burst of energy and stars from her form as her eyes opened wide. Exhaling rapidly, she felt around her face before landing on the nightstand where she had once slept. ”Silrenya....Sylrenya. Sylrenya! That’s it. I’m not Silme!” She cheered, looking across from her and spotting the two people with her. Her cheeks turned a dark lavender color while she did her best to try and fit in. With her camouflage activated once more, she flew over to the new left out for her by Kayl and began to consume the vegetables. In doing so, she found the note left by her companion. A smile crept on her face. He was incredibly generous with housing her with his warm clothes in this cold season. She would have to try and repay him back tenfold. He would be one of many it seemed.

╔═══════════════════ Mikhail was a real sweetheart - at least when he wanted to be. With her, he was all warmth, and smiles and kisses. With everyone else? He was glares, growls and harsh words. It was amazing the contrast between the two, almost like he was two entirely different people. Lelyna didn't mind though. She knew to take the good with the bad. Although, she knew that he'd likely never act grumpy or harsh towards her. Maybe if they had a fight? It would likely be a very rare occasion. In any case, when Mikhail lightly teased her about cuddling his pillow instead of the real thing, she placed it aside and opened her arms to him, eager for his embrace.
Lelyna hummed lightly at the contact. He was warm, and his embrace was loving. Before she could cuddle too much, he lifted her chin to kiss her lips lightly. Smiling, she reached up to grasp his tunic lightly, loving having him so close. How many times had she imagined this scenario? Dozens at least, but none of those imaginings compared to the real thing. Lightly caressing his cheek, she smiled as their lips parted.
Mikhail was quick to tell her what he'd brought with him. Everything was delightful. The only thing missing was a nice cup of tea. "It all sounds wonderful, Mikhail. Everything we need for a nice, quiet day indoors." As he took a seat next to her, his arm coming around to wrap snuggly against her waist, she leaned into him with a happy sigh. "I slept alright...it was very chilly at first, but once I got my bed warmed up, I was able to fall right to sleep..." She knew that she'd likely need a nap at some point, to recover some of the energy she'd used the day before, but she doubted Mikhail would mind.
Mikhail kissed her forehead lovingly before slipping from her arms. She instantly missed his warmth, but she knew he'd be back - this was his room after all. Hearing him throw another log on the fire, she smiled. Mikhail was so thoughtful, so caring. He seemed to anticipate all of her wants and needs. He even sensed her desire for a cup of tea. She smiled in amusement, "Actually, darling, a cup of tea would be-" Lelyna didn't finish her sentence, for at the moment, Silme awoke with a burst of activity. Although the fae hadn't been too loud, it had been enough to be caught by Lelyna’s sensitive senses. Smiling to herself, her dull, greyed gaze turned in the direction of Kayl's bed, and therefore his little side table where Silme was buzzing.
Since Silme hadn't made any other noises, it was safe to assume that the little fae had noticed them and likely didn't want to disturb them. Turning back toward Mikhail she smiled up at him. "Some hot tea, would be lovely, Mikhail...if you don’t mind..." Considering he'd offered in the first place, she didn't think he'd mind making them a fresh pot. Sure enough, Mikahil didn’t mind at all. As he came forward to kiss her, she was eager to press her lips against his, her hand lightly cupping his cheek for a moment before he pulled back, letting her know that he wouldn’t be long.
Once Mikhail had left the room, Lelyna turned her attention back toward Kayl’s side of the room. “Good Morning, Ms. Silme…” She didn’t know what Silme was in Kayl’s room but it was nice to know that she was making friends around the Academy. “I’m glad you’re indoors, where it’s warm and safe.” Lelyna assumed that since Silme had such delicate, lovely wings, that she needed to protect them from the cold, similar to how bees and butterflies couldn’t be seen during the winter months – it was much too cold for them.

╔═══════════════════
When Silme didn’t answer her, she figured the little fairy didn’t want to give away that she was there. Silme didn’t know Mikhail very well after all. Yes, the fae had received a few of Lelyna’s memories that contained him, but that wasn’t the same as knowing a person. As Mikhail came back to the bed with the tea, she smiled at his offer for sweetener. “Honey and milk, please…” She preferred her tea a bit on the sweet side. Taking the cup, she smiled and breathed in the aroma with a happy sigh. “This smells heavenly, darling, thank you so much…” Sipping the hot liquid slowly, she let the heat flow through her. It only took a few sips before she felt much warmer than she had before.
Like Mikhail, she set her cup aside and laid back against him, cuddling close with a happy sigh. With the blankets pulled over her and Mikhail’s arm wrapped around her, she was in heaven. Nuzzling his chest lightly, she smiled to herself. She hoped that they could spend many more winter days like this, cuddled close, just enjoying one another’s warmth and company as the hours slipped by. “I love this, Mikahil…thank you…” If someone were to ask her what her ideal day was, this would be it. Yesterday had been lovely, and such a wonderful experience. It had been a lovely event and one that she would never forget. But to just be here with Mikhail, she was so happy.
“Mikhail…what will happen once you graduate?” She didn’t know where the question had come from, but she found that she was deeply curious. Would he stay in Eoana for a while? Maybe go into the graduate program? Or would his father force him to go back home? She hoped that it wasn’t the last option…she knew how much Mikahil didn’t want to go back to the castle. Maybe, if he did need to leave, she could go with him? She didn’t know what she would do in Valor, let alone the castle, but she’d want to be with Mikhail…

Kayl Ardrus De'Valaer
Probability || None Wakes in a new day...
╔═══════════════════
As the slight chill of the morning air tickled at his nose, Kayl woke peacefully and yawned lightly as he started to stretch out. He had a much more peaceful night this time around, compared to recent nights, and he felt rested this morning. Before he got up, he looked over at the make shift bed that he had formed for Silme, he wondered for a moment where his little friend had gone. He wouldn't have expected her to return of course, but hadn't seen her the past couple days, and just wanted to know that she was alright. He had left some dried fruit out for her in case she returned, and it hadn't been touched yet, so she must have not returned yet. Standing then, Kayl started to get up for the day, and he started to think back on the day before, he felt a bit bad about how he spent most of the day, and thought that he should apologize to Lelyna.
As he rose out of bed, he rubbed his eyes for a moment and put on a shirt before opening the drapes and looking around the room. As he looked back, he wondered if Mihkail would be able to help him find Lelyna today, however the thought kind of died down as Kayl assumed that he would have been alone in the room, as Mihkail had always been an early bird. So when Kayl looked back, he was really surprised when he saw Mihkail laying there, passed out on his side of the room. With a bit of a devious grin, Kayl took a running start, and then dove into the air landing squarely on the bed where Mihkail layed, divebombing the whole bed.
Just as soon as he landed, Kayl laughed almost maniacally at the expected sound Mihkail would make, and then he immediately put his hands up, ready to parry and block whatever Mihkail was about to throw at him. Without even a thought, he was blocking punches, parrying swinging arms, and staring down his friend as he started to calm down until Mihkail slowed down a bit. Catching Mihkail's last punch, Kayl's face changed to a more serious expression as he spoke with his best friend. "Mihkail, can you tell me where Lelyna will be heading today, I feel that I owe her an apology," He said as he let down his guard.

Listening to Mihkail as he spoke, Kayl could see a bit of worry come over him as he answered. Mihkail must have wondered why Kayl would suddenly feel the need to apologize to Lelyna. Kayl really didn't think about that before asking, he wasn't used to seeing this protective side of Mihkail. Sighing lightly as he brought his hand up behind his head, Kayl let out an awkward smile. "Do not fret, nothing serious happened, I simply had a bad day yesterday, and didn't speak to Lelyna even though we had class together yesterday, I just wanted to let her know that it had nothing to do with her specifically, and that I am sorry for not walking with her after class..." Kayl said while making no mention of his nightmare.
Even though Mihkail was his best friend, this was something he hadn't told anyone, not even his own father. He was afraid of what the dream meant, and afraid of what might have happened in the past. Until he understood it more, he wouldn't tell a soul. When Mihkail mentioned that they had music class this day, Kayl wondered if he should wait until after class. "You don't think I'd be interrupting?" He asked of Mihkail as he got off of his friend's bed and let him get ready to go. As Mihkail got ready, so too did Kayl, getting a new outfit for the day prepped, and dressing in something a bit more comfortable for the days weather. As he looked out the window, Kayl thought about taking a trip to the training yards again, and decided to dress just a bit warmer before taking his sword with him. "Would it be better if I sent a message?" Kayl asked as he followed Mihkail out the door, letting him lead the way.

╔═══════════════════ Lelyna’s heart raced as she stood outside the door. She couldn’t be one hundred percent sure, but she hoped that the door she stood outside of was Mikhail and Kayl’s dorm room door. Swallowing hard, Lelyna smiled to herself. She’d snuck into the male dormitory not too long ago, with the intent to visit with Mikhail. She knew that he didn’t mind coming to find her, but she figured that he might appreciate the surprise…She'd awoken missing him, wanting to spend some time with him on their day off. But rather than wait for him to come to her, she'd sought him out instead.
Taking a deep breath, she raised her hand and knocked three times against the wooden door. Straightening her back, Lelyna lightly brushed her dress as she waited for him to answer the door. Would Mikhail be surprised to see her standing there? Would he be impressed thats she'd managed to find him? Or what if she’d come to the wrong door? What if she got caught? She wasn’t supposed to be here…but she could always claim she got lost…however she didn’t know how well that would go over if she lied.
Suddenly anxious, she lightly nibbled her lip as she waited for someone to answer the door. She only hoped she’d counted the doors correctly and had come to the right place. She’d only been here a few times and Mikhail had led her, so there was a high probability that she had chosen the wrong room. Deciding to try again, she knocked twice more before wringing her hands together against her chest, her nerves getting the better of her while she waited anxiously to find out if she’d successfully sought out Mikhail.
