It was two weeks after her twenty first birthday, and a full moon was quickly approaching. She was old enough now that she would face her first transformation. It was already difficult enough trying to keep her secret. Her senses were far more enhanced than those of a human, and she often found herself overwhelmed by strong smells, bright lights, and loud noises. During those times it was difficult to try and hide how different she was. When she freaked out or became angry, her eyes would glow bright yellow, her nails would grow into long sharp claws, and fangs would extend from her mouth. It was amazing she had managed to keep her secret for so long, but she knew it would only become more difficult when she changed. Arielle couldn't focus on that right now though, she had to prepare for work. Of course her parents were concerned about her being out in public with a full moon set to appear in a few days, but Elle was determined not to let it get in the way of having a normal life. So she would continue to go about her day as if everything were normal. So there she was, waiting tables at Cresent diner, waiting for her shift to finally end so she could relax. She was hoping she would be able to catch up with Hesa. She had been avoiding him a lot during the last few months, because having to lie to him was painful and she wanted to avoid it as much as possible. But the two of them had been best friends since they were kids, and she missed hanging out with him. So she had messaged him earlier that morning to see if he wanted to meet up, but she had yet to check to see if he had replied, since she wasn't allowed her phone on her while she was working. [On my phone right now, I'll make a layout later]

Hesa's phone went off around mid-morning, his text tone echoing through his room. Groaning a bit, he checked it, noticing that it was from Arielle. She was asking to meet up with him. That brought a smile to his face as he quickly responded, "Yeah, where do you want to meet up?" After about an hour, she hadn't responded. He remembered that she was a waitress at a local restaurant, so decided to check there. After all, if she was still a waitress, then she couldn't answer while on her shift. So, around lunch time, he set out to find the restaurant. When he arrived, he looked around to examine the staff. Soon, he noticed Arielle, and smiled, requesting a table in her area. The hostess shrugged, but accommodated him. Within a few minutes, he was sitting and waiting for her to come by.

Arielle had to bite her tongue to hold back a groan when Rosa, the hostess, told her someone had requested to be seated at a table in her area. It didn't even occur to her that the fact they requested her area probably meant they knew her, she was too tired to care. All she wanted was to get off of her sore, tired feet, and have some food. 'Just one more table...' She popped herself up as she made her way over to what would hopefully be her last table of the day. "Hello and welcome to Crescent Diner. My name is Arielle and I'll be your-" Part way through reciting her standard greeting, the brunette actually bothered to look up from her notepad and catch a glimpse of who it was sitting there. Just the sight of her bestfriend was enough to melt away all the exhaustion she was feeling. "Hesa!" The girl exclaimed excitedly, a bright smile adorning her face. Arielle took a quick look around to make sure no one was watching before taking a seat on the opposite side of the table. She was about to ask him why he was there, but then she remembered the message she sent him earlier and figured he must have come looking for her when she didn't specify where to meet. "I'm sorry I've been so busy lately, how have you been?"
