▱▰▱Satoshi's eye opened suddenly at the sound of his early morning alarm. He slammed his hand on the snooze button to continue his slumber before Yogen flew on top of the alarm to set it off again. He cackled as he did so and Satoshi had to jump out of bed. He was still wearing his PJs and sleepily walked to the kitchen. He agreed to wake up at this time on a Saturday for Toso to make him a big breakfast before his doctor's appointment. If not for the appointment Sato would have slept in much later. Yogen placed himself on Satoshi's head as he sat at the table. He then remembered to jump up and turn on the television. He switched the channel to cartoons before returning to his seat. The lad stared at the television drearily with the crow still on his head and waited for his father-uncle to join him in the kitchen.

Toso's back was towards Satoshi as was tradition being in the kitchen. Sizzling of a balanced breakfast apparent. The flip of eggs. Kameyo may have yet to wake but what with the schedule of the Arashikage Toso was always up bright and early. Being a chef of his caliber of course a majority of the cooking in house was entrusted to him due to the simple understanding of 'it tastes better' "Sato. bloop. Wash your hands. bloop." In typical dad fashion he'd make sure the boy practiced proper hygiene. Especially when in constant relation to an avian companion of which was an animal and by proxy carriers often of bacteria and disease. It was also proper kitchen etiquette and almost LAW for every chef.
Eggs would flip as he'd lower the burners heat. Toso would direct himself to the fridge and open it and lean in. "Low on crème fraîche." He'd remove a container and close it again. "Sato, have you fed Yogen. bloop. I'd suggest doing so before washing your hands. One should keep their pet and allies properly fed." Toso would then hear the familiar sound effects of InuMahou, the magical girl manga involving magical girls based on dog breeds that was recently adapted into early morning anime. The cartoon itself being a Shoujou was obviously targeted towards girls but Toso would encant the popular catchphrase thus invoking the legendary embarrassing dad aura. "Baobao style, baobao grace, baobao power in your face. Ahhhhhh...how charming." Toso's half-opened eyes would then open wide after realizing he needed to flip the eggs having barely made it in time.

▱▰▱The smell of breakfast cooking stimulated the still half-asleep neurons drifting about in the tired boy's head. He turned around to see his dad was already getting started. He smiled although his eye was still half-closed. He liked watching his dad cook a lot more than doing it himself because he always seemed to burn all that he touched. Now that he was starting to wake up he listened to his dad's valuable lesson about caring for his pets and allies. "You heard the man, Sato, FEED ME!" The crow yelled his demand at Satoshi from his position on top of his head. He sighed and placed both hands on Yogen before lowering him and pressing him against his chest in an embrace. "Be quiet, Yogen, Miss Kameyo is still sleeping." He whispered in admonishment to his loudmouthed or perhaps loudbeaked avian companion. On most mornings he heard strange noises coming from their room. He supposed that Kameyo usually enjoyed her massages in the morning before starting the stressful day.
Satoshi grabbed some chunks of meat from the refrigerator and started feeding the crow directly so that he could keep watching his father's amazing cooking. Once the feeding was finished Yogen flew out of his arms toward his bedroom. Satoshi looked at the refrigerator's grocery list and grabbed a pen before writing "Cream Fresh" for his dad without realizing that he was misspelling crème fraîche. "I put cream fresh on the list for you." He informed Toso and they both knew that Satoshi had to be the one keeping track of the grocery list because Toso always seemed to forget to write what he needed until the last minute. At this point, he just wanted to do as much as possible to make his kage father's life slightly easier. He then scurried off toward the bathroom. "Bloooooooop. Bloop. Bloop. Bloopity bloop." Satoshi mumbled to himself while still within earshot of Toso as he washed his hands in the bathroom with soap. After drying his hands on the handtowel he went back to the kitchen. He opened a drawer and grabbed a spare spatula before standing over the cooking eggs. "Can I flip the eggs?" Satoshi smiled with a sweet expression indicating "please" as he held his spatchy spatch at the ready to help. In the background the sounds from the baobao program were looming large.

Kameyo woke to the sound of angry bird cries, suggesting that Satoshi was here despite it being late morning. The smell of a cooking breakfast wafted over to the bedroom and she suddenly remembered it was the weekend. She made herself decent before entering the living room, casting a tired if not annoyed gaze at Yogen as he fled to Satoshi's bedroom.
She didn't say anything for a moment as she soaked in the domestic scene, a small smile flitting across her face as Satoshi mispronounced the name of whatever Toso was cooking. She entered the kitchen leisurely, curling an arm around Toso's waist and resting her chin on the nook between his shoulder and neck. "Having fun already?" She hummed delightedly at the sight, then peeled herself away from him so Satoshi could help with breakfast without her impeding them.
"Any plans today, or are we just lounging around?"
"Tis pronounced fray shh." Toso would say correcting Satoshi as he used his finger to shhhh the boy in a sense. "Perchance if you fed Yogen he wouldn't have cawed so loud. bloop" Toso would then pat Satoshi on his head at his request for flipping the eggs. "Perchance if you woke a bit earlier." Toso would say the egg having been folded to reveal that the morning breakfast was an omelette. His tentacle would then slink out his back to open the oven to reveal that inside the oven at a very low heat to ensure warmth was kept was the rest of the mornings breakfast. "If you'd like to help, you can set the tables silverware...AFTER..feeding Yogen."
Toso would ooze stay at home dad energy as he started plating the table. fluffy omelettes. Hence the importance of making sure temps were correct. The staple bacon with some sausages, hashbrowns with various other amenities being added. Sliced grapefruit, orange juice and milk provided options. He'd proceed back to the sink for clean up. "We are going to enjoy what moments we have with one another before duty calls. Satoshi is going to feed Yogen and then go to his scheduled appointment with Ka-nee." Toso would say a the sink ran.
▱▰▱Satoshi smiled brightly when Kameyo entered the kitchen with them. "Yep!" He responded with a chipper tone as he turned back to stare at the omelets. When Toso corrected his pronunciation he giggled and responded. "Fray shhhhhhhhh!" Satoshi held his finger to his lips along with Toso before chuckling again. He then immediately set the spatula down before gathering the silverware from the drawer and placing them on the table. He had already fed Yogen before he flew to Satoshi's bedroom. Satoshi had also washed his hands already to appease his father's understandable attentiveness to hygiene as a famous restaurateur. Once he placed the silverware he would take his seat and stare pensively at the delicious display. Omelets, pork assortment, hashbrowns, orange juice, sliced grapefruit, mouth-watering deliciousness galore. He nodded to what Toso said to Kameyo regarding the day's plans. "That's right, I'm going to see Miss Kagerou to talk about why I say blooooooooop." Satoshi giggled again before immediately digging into his food. His viciously growling stomach was slowly satiated as he stuffed his face. He was careful to keep his mouth closed and to continuously wipe his mouth with his napkin to avoid disgusting his noble Arashikage father.

Kameyo had a rather uncharitable expression when Satoshi mentioned talking to Kagerou about his adoption of Toso's speech quirk. She wanted to say, oh well kids do a lot of things for attention, but she stuffed some omelette in her mouth instead. Her eyes fluttered closed for a moment, eternally thankful she chose the most talented chef in Arashigakure for herself.
"Kagerou does psychiatric work on top of her duties as the general surgeon thing? Quite a lot on her plate, I imagine." Her contemplative tone turned into a playful one as she suggested, "but I'm sure she loves to see you whether it is work or play, Satoshi." Hadn't he only picked up the bloop thing fairly recently? Perhaps Kagerou was just going to explain that he didn't have to act like his dad to get his affection or something textbook like that.
"Maybe we could put off your duties today on an advisor. Just for a day," she offered with a shrug, knowing he would turn it down. Much quieter, she muttered, "I'd like to see Kenshin actually do something."

"Indeed, Ka-nee does a lot for the village in the medical specturm all the whiles maintaining her own personal pursuits. bloop." Toso would say pulling a chair and sitting down finally after having completed the dish detail. "She most certainly does take to enjoying seeing me perchance too mu..ah you were talking about Satoshi." Toso would correct himself while speaking in tandem with Kameyo. As cruel as it was sometimes on occassion he'd forget Satoshi was a prescence. Primarily due to the fact he 'should' be living at his sisters. However, that 'plan' often never stayed true to course as Satoshi seemed to have developed a attachment to Toso as much as Toso himself tried to keep things a 'normal' as possible. He might as well have been a 'dad' rather than a 'dadcle'.
Toso would cut his admiration of Kagerou short hopefully if not thankfully before the wrong impression was made. Of course Toso had the utmost faith that Kameyo wouldn't draw to such assumptions typical of freshly budding romances. Plus It would be believed that Toso could be capable of anything close to adultery and affairs was unthinkable. Although...Toso being a submissive 'yes man' was very much possible.
Toso would then look to Satoshi. "Do behave yourself in her office Sato." before patting his head. Then looking back to Kameyo and sighing. "You know I can't do such a thing honey bloop. The village has so many intricacies that only I really can manage to bloop. Such was the cost of bringing the village into the sky." he'd crick his neck with his eyes partially closed. "I suppose, however, today is a slow enough day I could entrust that duty to a shadow clone bloop." He looked down to the ground at everyone's feet beneath the table as if ashamed of his workoholic schedule. Then readjusted his glasses back into the soft but stoic expression he often had. "Well best get to eating before it gets cold." Toso would say, with Toso across from Kameyo and Satoshi sitting in the middle it was one of those typical American family settings, comfy.

▱▰▱ Satoshi continued devouring his breakfast but stopped after gulping it down to look at Kameyo as she spoke. He put some potatoes in his mouth and smiled in excitement while nodding. "Yes! I'm excited to see her bloop." He snickered after responding to her although he was sure that he went unnoticed while Kameyo and Toso were speaking over him. The hungry boy continued eating while they discussed Toso's schedule for the day. "Does that mean you'll be home today?" Satoshi asked as he turned his head to look at Toso. His tone indicated that he was excited at the prospect. He wanted to spend the day working on his drawings and that maybe Toso would help him. Satoshi chewed on some bacon and waited for a few seconds before mustering the courage to ask his next question of the adults. "Do you guys know where I can find old books? Like about the gods?" Once he asked the question he looked at both of them by turning his head twice from his seated position in the middle. Satoshi had been trying to gather a collection of dusty tomes but was having trouble doing so. This was one of many of his odd hobbies and he was nervous to bring it up. Satoshi then took a refreshing bite of grapefruit as he awaited their responses.

You could take the girl out of Gimangakure but you can't take Gimangakure out of the girl. When Toso lamented the intricacies of Arashigakure now that it was in the sky, she immediately started planning ways to ground the village and allow leadership to be simplified, for less nuances to be present. However, she didn't get far into her plan to defeat these idiosyncrasies before Satoshi blurted out a question about old books on gods. She stopped mid-bite to stare at him as if he'd grown a second head.
"Feeling religious now, hmm? I figured we had a few years before you went out trying to find yourself and divinity." She took another bite of her breakfast as she thought about the question more seriously. "There were lots of libraries of stolen scrolls or books in Giman but I don't recall any referring to old gods. Is this a new special interest of yours?" She wouldn't hate Satoshi getting a hobby, especially since it may distract him from his copy-cat 'bloop' quirk.
"How old are we talking for these books? I think the Jashin ideology is fairly ancient, though I don't even know if they have a holy book, those weirdos..."
"Have you been hearing tales of Taiyo-kami? I know it may seem promising with this whole 'gods walking among us business' but you should focus on your studies first Sato bloop." Toso would say dismissively as if he was shaken by the suden shift in tone from day to day to religion. Toso himself had never been a religious individual, at least not in the traditional sense. Sandayu and Belamos and the whole mess with the tales of Kenshin's lady Everwhatsit was all rather grating. "Gods should stay out of the affairs of us lowly mortals bloop, and the vise versa. It always leads to trouble. Same. As your mot..as lady Kameyo says there are texts like the tenants of Jashinism which are better of lost to time. bloop." Toso stopped himself from calling Kameyo 'mother' just in time. While they were in the late stages of their relationship the only place where that term was to be used was in private, in the bedroom, when nobody else was around. Weighted by biases, yes but Toso would try to steer Satoshi away from the 'god complex' of the father he never really knew and the father whom he should to his discretion never know more of.
He'd bop a bit of omelet into his mouth before swallowing with his same stalwart expression. He'd point to Satoshi with the end of his fork as if about to give a boring lecture. "That said, you should occupy yourself with tales of adventure as opposed to theology. Such as the tale of the great white whale and its legendary pursuit. In fact there's a copy of it right over on my bookshelf bloop." The Legend of Mobius Dingle held a special place in the hearts of Hojo everywhere...some say its because of the whale killing but to Toso it was far more than that, a riveting sea tale of a man and his crew in pursuit of a dream and justice. Of course, justice to the hojo people in the slaying of their natural enemy was the word they used others would, of course, use vengeance. A tale of overcoming hardship and the thrill of adventure. Twas a book that catered and matured his wanderlust when he was but a young hojo boy in endaishima.
Toso would continue with the rest of the family as the occasional banter was exchanged. "One day Sato you'll be old enough to go out on your own. When that day comes what matters most is not how strong or wealthy you yourself have become but never forgetting people who helped you get there bloop. An old homage the greatest treasure is neither gold nor rubies but the friends made along the way..." Toso swallowed the last bit of breakfast before he made sure to iterate. "Ah..but don't be a bum and mooch of people self care without self reflection leads to self destruction. bloop." Toso sounded a little too wizened and speaking from what could have experience with that sentence. Standing up and dusting off the crumbs did he start collecting dishes. "Well have we anything else on the table bloop both literally and metaphorically bloo bloo bloo?"
▱▰▱ He chuckled as he finished his meal when Kameyo responded to him. "It's not like that, miss Kameyo! I just wanna learn more and I like old books." Satoshi really had no interest in worship or religion itself necessarily. His interest was born out of the clear meddling of gods in the mortal plane and its effects on fate. He was pleased that Kameyo went on to elaborate in more detail about certain texts. Gimangakure was a bit too far away for him to get books from though. The air became still when Toso spoke up rather seriously about what he was asking. Satoshi felt a strange tension in the air as a result that he did not understand. He listened to his father's lessons and heeded them of course but he had some objections. "But dad, I've already read The Legend of Mobius Dingle twice. I wanna read more about prophecy, fate, and why the gods are walking among us, I don't wanna worship them, it's just that too much of what's happened just doesn't make sense." He was not specific in the last part of his statement but he was referring to the various events of otherworldly nature that have transpired as of late. The disappearance of the Rinnegan because of Evergreen, why he is aging suddenly, why everything the crows said would happen to him has happened already and there is more to come. Satoshi was insightful and inquisitive for his age but had no knowledge or direction as a result of his youth and knew that he needed to read more. As Toso collected his plate he tried to settle down and keep his frustration at his confusion about the "big questions" in check. "Sorry guys, I'm just frustrated because everyone at school thinks I'm weird for asking about this stuff. I'll remember to be good to my friends, dad. Bloop." Satoshi said this a few seconds later after a quick breather.

Toso would chime ahead of Kameyo in regards to the subject matter after the realization that more than likely the only book that was at his sisters house was no doubt Mobious Dingle. Well that and 'The Fishermans Wife' but we wouldn't get to much into detail about that Hojo adam and eve creation myth. "The 'gods' walk among us because they know without us they wouldn't be gods." Toso would say wistfully partially worried about where Satoshi's train of thinking was leading him. He would then turn on the sink as the hss of it filled the room as he began dishes. "With enough power anyone can proclaim themselves to be a 'god' but what determines what 'is' a god is not power alone but those that choose to believe they are this 'god' to begin with." He'd turn off the sink almost as if it was done dramatically to add to the goings-on of the conversation.
"In the end, there will always be the greatest question if there is a 'god' whom made that god bloop and so on. What dictates fate? What dictates prophecy? You can believe what the innumerable amount of books on the subject say but I can tell you what your uncle believes." He'd lean down and poke Satoshi in the chest. "The one who dictates and changes fate is oneself bloop." Toso would stand again and start putting away the dishes. "Stop believing a 'god' is a god and suddenly they're simply another person whose incredibly strong bloop and even they can fall." While not intentional this was a reference if not a brief flashback to the day Kenshin reported in stating that Sandayu was slain those many years ago.
After placing the last dish up Toso would then sigh. "There is nothing weird about it bloop. You're simply curious about the machinations of how the world works. Your Uncle does the same bloop. There are many creation myths Satoshi I want to get that out there first. However, I suppose if you're this invested in the subject the most prevalent are the tales of three 'gods' known as Zelel, Utu, and Evergreen. The library should prove to have their theologic texts somewhere and if you do intend to check around the house for reading material you know which book is off-limits if you happen to see it." Toso was, of course, referring to the 'Abyssal Script' the book of which his uncle often carried on his person if not rarely left unattended. The book filled with dark indiscernible smatterings his uncle so desperately seemed to spend hours trying to make sense of. While Toso himself may not have realized it, there were times if it almost seemed like he was on the brink of mania trying to 'crack a code' in its pages. If it weren't for the fact Toso had such a chaotic mind to begin with it may have already led him down a path of world obliteration out of sheer delusional madness alone.
▱▰▱Satoshi was excited by the prospect of talking like a grownup. So much so that he was unphased by the tension of possibly disagreeing with Toso. It was rare for him to get this kind of attention from Toso so he intended to make the most of it. As Toso washed the dishes and spoke Sato listened and pondered on the possibilities and would respond after each statement. "So could it be said that you, Kagerou, Kenshin Kosei, and Shion are gods? You're all strong and maybe if enough people believed that then you could become gods too. But that doesn't change the fact that none of you control universes. Like the gods do. Right?" Satoshi felt very confident and sophisticated despite the naive nature of his comments just because he was talking to a smart adult about a big topic. It did not seem likely to him so far that just because a mortal is strong that they could become an actual god. When he felt Toso poke into his chest he was shaken to his core. The subject of fate was of higher importance to Satoshi than even the gods themselves. "It feels like I have choices, like, in my head, it feels that way. But every choice I've made was caused by what came before. And I know there are things out there that can see into the future and know what choices I will make. So am I really free to choose differently if it's already written?" Satoshi felt very confused but did what he could to get his point out. He just hoped that it made sense to Toso and Kameyo. When Toso finished cleaning the dishes Satoshi breathed a sigh of relief that at least Toso did not think him strange for having these questions. "What's off-limits?" He asked and was immensely intrigued by the idea of forbidden knowledge. He also hoped that him asking about it was not suspicious.

This is not a technique and does not cost an activation. • Illusory Prowess | This attribute allows any and all genjutsu to be cast through eye contact with the Uchiha. In addition, the genjutsu cast in this manner have the sight sense added to them at C Rank body. At S Rank body, the user's genjutsu are given the chakra sense. Also, mental stress or insanity can be added to any genjutsu cast through eye contact for an additional fifty percent chakra cost. • Genetic Palette | With intensive genetic therapy and strong blood, this character is able to possess more than one transplant. This allows the character up to two transplants total, of any of the three categories. • Illusory Prowess | This attribute allows any and all genjutsu to be cast through eye contact with the Uchiha.
