i finally got around to doing an online portfolio for myself and thought i'd see what you guys think. minor tweaking needs to be done as well as adding some better artwork, but it was all that i could find conveniently located. >.<; any comments/suggestions?
i'm also wondering, what are your opinions on putting your actual name on a portfolio site? many others do it and it's becoming more common to actually know people by name on the net, but i still can't get over the paranoia of putting my full name out there on the web...thanks for help in advance!

What with people and not wanting their name on a site? Really, what can happen? I don't want paranoid responses to that razz . I say go for it, put your name on the site, it gives your personal site, a more personal feeling. Another thing on this, what the point of having a resume (with alot more personal info, such as where you're going to school...) if you don't have your name?
I tihnk the site is good. Its nice, simple and easy to naviagate, which is exactly what a personal site needs. Its not too complicated. All you really need is a new host with no ads razz .
Also, maybe you could put up a different picture as the header for each section? Just an idea.

Personally, I love the site design, it's fantastic ^^ I think you should, about the parinoid, thing, that is the same with me, yet I only use my first name rather then both first and last. You can stick with your alias but as well put your first name in a profile page or something ^^

On the name thing, I think that its a good idea to put your real name on it, seeing as its a professional portfolio and not just a personal site. If some prospective client looks at it and doesn't see a name at all... I dunno, it just seems unprofessional. Same for using an internet alias. But yeah, up to you... Definitely don't put any personal contact details other than your email address though.
I like the layout of the site, it's very clean and focussed. And that photo is so cute ^-^ As you get more stuff to put in it you might want to separate your portfolio out into different sections (print, web etc), but it looks fine as it is. You've got some really great stuff in there by the way!
I think some colour would improve it a bit, just in the headings or something, nothing crazy that would take away from the simplicity of the design. Also the front page looks kinda empty to me... maybe something short about yourself there?

when i get some time i will put up new art (couldn't find some newer stuff i have sittin on disc somewhere...) and i probably will put my name under the resume section.

The general layout and simplecity is nice. ;3 I would suggest FreeWebs though, for a sort of "ad-less" webhost, but they prefer you stick a link to them in there somewhere. Its lovely, and I'm sure hungry employers all over will adore you. <3

If the site fills the whole scrreen the alignment is no bother... but i'm using 1280x1024 resolution and it doesn't fill even half of the width of the screen and is at the very border of the screen, makes my eyes tired...
(just my opinion but maybe it should be as a general note - margins...)

I think you should rewrite your career objective. The wording seems self centered, not what a potential client wants to hear.

Great site design, but you should definitely attach your name to it. Without a name or any introduction to yourself at all, it just makes you confused as to what's going on when you enter the site.

*points to Da_Ta* I have the same problem. I'm running on 1024x768 and it fills just about half the page, leaving a lot of negative space at the left. Since I hate centering sites, and you wana make it viewable to lower res screens, I suggest the following: Put each instance in a table, then lay the tables side by side. That way they will automatically fit as many tables as possible horizontally and return what can't fit to the next line. In my case it looks like 2 table would show side by side. For Da_Ta, I dunno how many would fit. Then, if you center the tables themselves, it'll distribute the margins without centering the text. It would look something like this (the red lines would be your tables of cource)  Besides that, you do need your name on it. As a prospective employer, I look at this and I need to know who you are and how to contact you outside of e-mail. Anyway, what do you think of my suggestions?
