What are bugs for??

You know, the butterflies, dragonflies, grasshoppers and the rest of'em...Whats their purpose exactly?

When you get fifty of one color of them, you can trade them for ink. Then you can use the ink to add color to flower bouquets.

Yep.
You take the bugs to the Durem Depot in Durem. Talk to Moira and she can turn the bugs into ink for you.
Then you'll take the ink to the Flower Shop in Barton Town. =)
