Fujioka Haruhi(♀)

? Not very materialistic. For example, she really wants a laptop but doesn't lose any sleep over it. She hopes to win a raffle at the marketplace or something like that.
? It's not that her fashion sense is poor, but she will throw on whatever's at hand, no matter how crummy it looks.

Bisco Hatori's notes: It's fun to draw her various boy/girl aspects. She was designed, as I said, "cuter, cuter," and became a heroine with enormous eyes. Sorry. I will gradually tone that down.

Suoh Tamaki

Personality

? An emotional, narcissistic man who cries easily. Loves historical plays and anime dripping with human emotions.
? He appears quite glib with the girls, but her really means what he says. To him, all girls are pretty, and he's at his most self-important when he's charming them giddy.

Bisco Hatori's notes: I created him to be "narcissistic and annoying", but as the series progressed he has turned into an annoying idiot. He is the character who's most out of control, nobody can stop him now...so take him as you find him.

Ohtori Kyouya

Personality

? He is calculating but not greedy. He likes to move things forward according to careful planning, collecting profits along the way

Despite what he says, he's good friends with Tamaki.

Bisco Hatori's notes: If "Host Club"'s first episode had been 40 pages instead of 50, he might have been cut from the cast. (Yikes!)

Since the rest of the members are the way they are, he is invaluable for maintaining order and offering explanations. Good thing it was 50 pages, Kyouya...

His fashion sense is not "intellectual" at all.

Hitachiin Hikaru, Kaoru

[They're not really partial to spicy foods, so much as being contrary by eating whatever's "so fiery that nobody else dares to try it." They do love maple syprup, though. Perhaps not the most ideal dining companions.]

Personality

One word for their personalities is "dry," very avid about the things they ar interested in but quite apathetic toward things they are not.

Unlike Tamaki, they are wholly calculating in their customer relations. They think women are easy. Still, they're just kids, so they sometimes do unexpected things.

Mitsukuni Haninozuka (Hunny)

- Habitual Phrase:
~ "Neeeeee " and putting "--ne" at the end of a sentence. Sometimes says "--kane" like a middle-aged man

Personality

? His niche is "cute in an almost illegal way." But when you look closely, you can't really tell if he's cute, weird, natural, or calculated.

Bisco Hatori's notes: I made him "the oldest member" in episode 1, yet in episode 3, Hunny is Pisces, and Mori is Taurus, so now Mori is the oldest member...sorry about that.

To tie up loose ends, I thought I'd say, "Hunny was held back one year," but I decided not to.

I was asked, "Does Bun-bun not have a name?"
Then I realized for the first time that his name was just "Bun-bun."

Morinosuka Takashi (Mori)

Personality

? "Strong, yet kind." Picture a siberian husky...he's just like one (laugh). By the way, Hunny's like a pomeranian.
? He's in the Kendo Club and only joined the Host Club because Hunny did. He seems to be having some fun, so I think he's okay with it (laugh).

Bisco Hatori's notes: I leave him alone, he winds up being a "quiet, sober-faced fellow," so he make Hatori groan a lot. But his love is vast (laugh), so there's at least a chance of Haruhi and Mori becoming a couple.

The pronounciation of "Morinozuka" is the same as "Mori" [forest], but when he is called "Mori," the "Mo" is emphasized.
