Oh wow that's pretty amazing. I like everything about it. The pose seems a bit unnatural, but I like it nonetheless. Can't wait to see it colored!

The roots for the tree on the left seem a bit awkward and one of the arrows is positioned funny (the one that is sticking out of the right), but otherwise ITS AMAZING. I love the detail you put into it.

There's actually a story behind this. She's following this guy, and she was about to kill a bird, but then, the guy, since he was an elf, and he's more in tune to nature, took the arrow from her hand. Then he put it back, but broke it. Though, he didn't say anything.

the tree... well... sowwie~! ;_;

Wow!! Great job at the background and the details XD
The pose is kinda stiff though. I think her arms are too straight.

The pose does seem a little unnatural and lopsided. The laces coming up her boots make you think that her feet are turning inward..but they are facing straight.

Also, the roots of the tree, as said before, do seem rushed and need a lot of work. What immediately caught my eye was the wall of rock. You definitely need to practice here, because it looks like you just randomly drew lines down from the grass because you didn't actually know how to draw rocks ( aside from the lovely ones toward the extreme right).

Apart from that, on the girl..one eye seems higher than the other - only magnified by the fact that the eyebrows are slightly lopsided as well.

The good points? The wrinkles on the arm warmers and top are GREAT. I love the style of her hair and..the castle in the background- nice addition.

Overall? I'd say you just need to practice your detail-work and positioning.

((P.S.: I also had to look at that thing in back of her neck for quite a bit in order to realize that it was a bow. Is it hitched on to her neck? You should have included part of some kind of mount so it doesn't look like it's randomly floating behind her. It seems awkward, as a bow is usually strung diagonally on the back. ))

I would not call that a poor attempt. Maybe not perfect, but not a poor attempt.

The expression on her face is very cute. The only thing that bothers me is the stance she's in - it's a very passive stance for someone who's got a bunch of bows and arrows to take. I'd like to have seen her in a more agressive pose than this. Nice job overall. You could even spice it up a bit by making the lines around her heavier than the lines in the background to make her stand out more.
