SAILOR MOON UNIVERSE IS A FAN MADE SIXTH SEASON. WE ARE IN NO WAY CONNECTED WITH TOEI. THIS IS MADE USING FOOTAGE OF THE SERIES AND A FEW OTHER METHODS.

We are in need of a Serena/Sailor Moon voice actress now, since Julie Jensen has gone off onto greater things. She was recently contracted by two Broadway productions, and no longer had the time to help in the series. If you are interested, read on further to see how you can audition.

Please, read all of this post. And the ones under this, because they tell you how to download.

Well, I feel a little odd that my first post to this forum is about a project that I got myself involved in while searching on Youtube, but here it goes.

Hello! My name is Shikyou. I am fourteen years old, in grade nine, and currently set to provide the voice for Aino Minako in the project of Sailor Moon UNIVERSE that's due to come out sometime this year.

It's a non-profit project, a fanmade sixth season, really. The basic plot is that Sailor Moon must now go against the enemies that she previously faced and combat them again, though even we involved in the project are a little sketchy on everything. Though it feels odd to be saying "we", it makes my job of finding people for this a little easier.

We are lacking on the vocal cast, and in some other areas. So, below, I will post the explianation that is provided on the site. I do hope that this catches some people's interest and they apply.

Oh, yes. I almost forgot. There is a disclaimer on the site claiming that we have no ownership to anything of Sailor Moon. The footage that we use for the project is edited, yes. It's completely free, non-profit, and it's pretty much for fun. A chance for fans to have a word in what they think the final chapter of Sailor Moon would be like. It will never be on TV, and it is NOT the sixth season.

It's fanmade.

We are looking for people who can help us set up a Bittorrent Server, and for somebody who can stay on the mIRC channel and serve files. If you are interested, please e-mail the address provided at the end of this post.


GENERAL

SAILOR MOON AND SAILOR URANUS ARE NEEDED!
We’re really a SMALL staff here and we don’t bite!
We will not require you to have to meet with us (ever really…) because the voice acting will be done through the internet, so you would basically record your lines without any background noises and such, and then send them to us.
This is a NON-PROFIT project, so it is simply for your experience and recognition.



TO AUDITION...
What we would ask of you is to send us at least 2 short clips of your voice, one in which you speak casually (any random subject you may like) and one in which you say a few “Sailor Moon”-related lines, such as her introductory speech, transformations/attacks, or maybe other quotes you may know from the Anime.
When you send us the clips, we will do the following:

See the quality of your microphone and how you speak into it (hearing a clear voice is all we expect!).
Decide which character(s) your voice suits.



OTHER THINGS
Along with your “audition”, you can specify which character(s) you would like to play, even though it might not be what you end up with, but we try to please everyone.


WHAT YOU WILL GET OUT OF THIS
Here is all we CAN and WILL offer you:

Full name listing in the Ending Credits of each episode you voice act in.
Full name listing on an “product” or publications made online or on hard copy.
FREE copies of EVERYTHING we make (exclusive to only those who work on this project!)



ABOUT THE JOB

There is no legal bind, so we cannot force you to work for us; HOWEVER, we expect full dedication from our cast (meaning that we expect that you will not resign from your role…).
All people associated with the project MUST be registered at the forum (here).
We will work on a deadline system. When we publish a script, we will send it out to everyone and have all lines due by a certain REASONABLE date. You will NEVER be required to drop what you’re doing and immediately record your lines.

INSTRUCTIONS TO DOWNLOAD IRC

01. Download the mIRC client for FREE from http://www.mirc.com/get.html.
02. Install and run program.
03. A dialog box should pop-up and ask you for your NAME, E-MAIL, and 2 NICKNAMES. Fill that out accordingly.
04. Under the CONNECT tab on the left, look for SERVER, and select RIZON: Random Server.
05. Next, look for DCC, and then IGNORE. Set the METHOD to DISABLED.

06. You may personal any other options to suit your needs, but for now, this should work.

07. After clicking OK to close the window, click on the LIGHTNING-STRIKE ICON at the top-left. Some random connection logs should start flooding the window, until a box pops up saying mIRC FAVORITES.
08. In the first box, enter #LA-Densetsu, and you should immediately be connected. You will know if you're in the right place because there should be the user ~Shiaedoeu, &Shikyou, and/or &#xJa;yLo online.
09. When you enter, you can chat, idle around, or start downloading!

10. To download, type !list. A pile or random stuff should pop-up.
11. In particular, look for the TRIGGER and copy it. (SINCE mIRC DOES NOT ALLOW RIGHT-CLICK IN THE WINDOW, CTRL + C it or manually type it the trigger, starting with the /ctcp...)
12. Once you hit enter, another dialog box should emerge - select ACCEPT.

13. Read the message, and then proceed with the following instructions...

14. Type in DIR. A listing of folders should pop-up.
15. To enter a folder, type CD and then add the folder name. (EG. CD ANIME)
16. Again, anytime you enter a folder, type DIR to list all files and folders.
17. To go back to a previous directory, simply type CD .. and you should end up back where you were before.
18. Once you find a file you want, type GET and then the file name with the extension on the end. (EG. GET [sailor moon r] ending 1 (region 2).mpg)
19. At this point, you should see another dialog box - to get the file, click on ACCEPT.

20. In some cases, your file may be added to a QUEUE SLOT to be sent to you after IF there is another person already downloading. If you're really unlucky, all queues may be full and you'll have to come back later. But now that you know how to, it shouldn't be a problem!

21. There are some extra commands that may be useful. For instance, when in the download directory of a given user, you may use SENDS to see how many files are being sent at the moment, and QUEUES to see how many files are being queued and if yours is listed there.

You know, I just might look into this. I have a knack for mimicing things - anything from wolf howls, monkey screeches and even sailor moon's speech in japanese. Now I just need to get a hold of a microphone... XD
