i know this is really stupid but still. you know, how, we dont see old people walking around being emo and all, so i was wondering what you all would say about that. we're teens and all and we can be emo but like really, what would happen when we all get older? would we stop or what?

just wondering.

It doesn't work that way.
Emo is a phase.
Kids dress however the hell they want, until college.
In college, they tend to dress a little more... let's say professional.
By the time they're out of college, all they wear is their work uniform or jeans & a t-shirt.

After freshmen year of college, all of you are going to realize that you don't have THAT many problems, that you look retarded, and that maybe, JUST MAYBE, you should grow up and cut your hair normally and stop acting so xTUFFx.

Or else you will look like one of those 40 year old punk rockers that run around Camden Market. But, whatever floats your boat. Also, I believe that you can't call yourself a musicfag until you go to Camden Market. It is the greatest place in the world. I had a lot of fun there.

Well, I'll be in the Air Force by the time I get out of college, so they'd probably yell it out of me...so no, I probably won't be "emo" when I get older.

I would have to agree it's just a phase we go through.

My Stepmum tries to be emo, and she's on the menopausal side of 30.
It's sick, but also entertaining.

I think she only does so I'll think she's cool. ******** retarded whore.

It might be a phase it might not...you never know until you really grow up into an adult...but yet then again it kinda includes the 'everyones different' lecture too....

I don't think you become emo when you grow up.
When you grow up, I think you stop caring so much about what clique you fit in. I don't think they care about being "emo".
I'm not saying you turn all preppy-adult. You can still have a rock edge.
But I don't think you become "emo"
It's more around durring the teen years and sometimes in the twenties.

That's what I think at least.

I dont think everyone stops though...
they might hide behind their corporate clothing,
but unless they are truely dead inside,
a part of them still has the passion.
