I noticed in RN7 that many people played with a joystick controller. Do you play with a joystick or the normal controller? And it seemed to amaze some people that I play using my thumbs, is it really that strange? I've always played Tekken with the normal controller, using my thumbs, just like any other game. I tried out one of the joysticks and I couldn't do pretty much anything.
Also for those who have experience on the PSP controller, have you noticed it sucks? It doesn't take some directions ((d/f etc)) for me especially d/f and d/b suck a**, which makes EWGF and it's cousins practically impossible to pull off, and that really takes away pleasure from playing the game. I can pull it off with the PS2 pretty nicely without any bigger problems, but on the PSP there's no chance...
I know I do this to make the game a bit easier, I put the throws ((1+3 and 2+4)) to the L2 and R2 buttons, also I put 1+2 and 3+4 to L1and R1. does anyone else do this?
So, What kind of controllers you use, does the PSP controller suck, and have you changed the button configs?

To me it works good, Even in fighting games, And the sticks improved my driving skills in GT4 and NFS

I wouldn't say strange, thumb, you know, it's just easier to push two ( or three ) buttons at the same time with two fingers. Isn't 1+4 difficult to do? o__O
PS2 controller. Althoug, I've recently played with non-Dual Shock and I actually think it's better than my previous controller.
And. I use index and middle finger. And I don't use shoulder buttons. Using them would make Nina's multi-throws easier but... I thought I won't learn to use them, just in case I buy a stick in the future.
[edit] Heeey, non-Dual Shock isn't in the poll! What am I supposed to vote? xp [/edit]

I'm not too fond with the joystick, I prefer the directional pad better. This is what I assign the L and R buttons for:- L1: LP+RK L2:LP+RP R1:RP+LK R2:LK+RK

I thougt Jin had a move that started with 1+4? *TZ* Okay, I take it back. That was in T3. But I wasn't completely wrong. Devil Jin has it.

I just use a regular old PS2 controller, and, yes, I use my thumbs. Luckly, I don't use Asuka or Devil Jin as mains anyways so 1+4 isn't needed.

My movement is much better on a pad (PS2 pad), and I play with my index/middle fingers over the buttons usually. Sometimes I switch to thumb, but not often.
My execution on stick though, is much better. I prefer the old grey Namco horis, but I'll take any hori.
