Heartless we yearn

Our voiceless cries echo as we try to make sense of the world around us

We are but shadows of the lives that left us behind.

Where is the truth?

you continue on, wondering when this eternal night shall fade

Going forward because it is impossible to turn back.

Who is with you?

Where are you going??

Will you get there?

The road seems to wander without rhyme or reason

The staggering footsteps echo along the twisting path

Surely there is something better than this?

An unexplicable craving for something unseen, unheard, unknown...

A longing enough to drive even those who lack desire

Your twisted path drags you forward

An unknown calling pulls you to a distant light.

There is something in the light...

What is it that you see?

Blinking, you stare into the light.

So much darkness around you...the light burns your eyes.

How did it come to this?

Once the light was not so fiercely painfull...

Once the light was everything. Now the darkness eclipses the light.

The pain is too much for you to handle.

Why did it have to be you?

The darkness crawl forward to accept you.

The tormented screams of years in agony.

Suddenly, a light shines brightly in the distance.

Who is it that has come to release you?

An Out-sretched hand?

A face blinded from your sight by the light,

"Huh...?"

You feel its warm grasp around your wrist.

.... the darkness dissipates....

Ok lololololol, I'm sorry this is just getting funny to me, I origanally didn't expect pple to keep continueing this story role playing thing with poems, its just so funny lololololololol, ok moving on...

Confused, you look around for your savior,

He, or who ever it was, is no were to be found.

The warmth of the grasp...

Was it all an illusion created by the longing for a companion?

The light no longer hurts, but the pain of a solo existance still burns.

Echoes of memory, shadows of feelings...what did it mean to have a heart?
