Heyho!

I know this is somewhat far-fetched..... but:

Does anyone have any idea where all the young(er) people go in Hong Kong during evenings/weekends? This has been bugging me for a while now, actually.

See, I've been living in HK for quite a while now but I just can't seem to find people anywhere. In Finland, once a person turns 18, we usually just start hanging around in bars/clubs just like the adults do but around here, if I go to a club, all I find is 40-50 year-olds (usually foreigners anyway) and that's just not my company! gonk

Yet, when walking in the streets in the evening I can see a lot of the young people are out walking to *somewhere* but I haven't had the heart to start stalking them yet. rolleyes

So, the question is:
What do youngish people (around 18-26 years old) do in HK for fun during evenings/weekends?

EDIT: Oh, and I didn't mean that you need to tell me what *you* do to have fun.. just general suggestions will do. wink

Hurrah! Some answers! whee

I actually work here which kindda sucks in terms of making new, local, friends. I only have a few local colleagues and they're not really the out-going type. sweatdrop

Ocean Park is fun! I've been there a few times already and I love it. Perfect combination of stuff to see and experience. Not like an average amusement park. wink

Going out with friends is exactly what I'd like to do! Need to find some friends first! sweatdrop
I suppose I need to go hang out at the universities after work to meet people, heh. wink

Need friends first. wink

And I don't think they're allowed... but we had a nice 400,000 € fireworks set off on Monday... quite spectacular from my point of view. whee

well, they usually go clubbing for some who are old enough to... on weekends they meet with their friends, go watch movies, shopping, or just wander aroung on streets and just talk about anything.

Yep, slowly starting to find my way here. wink
Last weekend was good for meeting people.. gotta plan a similar venture next weekend as well. whee

I think one problem is that locals probably think I'm a tourist first, and don't really realize that I'm gonna be around for a looooooooong while. Being caucasian and all. rolleyes But well, I'll manage. Need to find some concerts to attend to as well.
