I really like it. The colors, the organization, ect...

Thanks not-mourning dove smile . I have a few options for that. One is the sidebar which I may add. Another is just ot append it to the top right above the content. We'll see.

scream Internet Explorer's incomptetance is seriously getting on my nerves. You'd think a company run by a multi millionaire could make a better browser. Apple beat Internet Explorer on its first try with Safari.

Wow, a miracle... My webpage works on IE, and I never tested it either. This calls for a moment of silence.

*silence*

About the navigation bar, you could put it in a "drawer" on the left sidebar. I'm not sure of the code (i'm not that great with web design) but if you could have it slide open when you move the mouse over it...

Its a nice thought and a nice idea, but it'd be extremely difficult to execute an animated drawer (especially keeping it IE compatible). Javascript could be used to achieve the effect. Anyways, I've already made the nav for the main site a simple bar at the top. The Project Aqua page (a game I'm working on as the art director) has its own separate nav on the side. Here's a snapshot of it:

Very nice ^__^ I like all the smooth lines and shininess! I think the nav bar looks very cool in the sort of cutout bit, nice idea ^_^ Small question - could you point me to a tutorial for that shiny glossy bevelled effect in your graphics? n_n

Thanks for the compliments smile

Tutorial... well, I'm sure you could find some at www.pixel2life.com under the photoshop section. Its simple really (at least after you've gotten used to it).

My approach is first to shape out the image and fill it with color. Then I apply several effects:

1. Stroke: 1px width black
2. Inner Glow: Set the color to white and overlay
3. Gradient Overlay: I use a black to white gradient, and set it to overlay.

I think that's all the effects... anyways, after that, I make a new layer. I make a selection around where I want to add the reflection. Then I take the gradient tool and select a gradient that goes from white to transparent. I drag over the selected area with white at top and transparent near bottom. I usually take a few tries at this, maybe starter further or closer to the top of the selection and see what looks best.

Just in case you didn't know, there are a few ways to make a selection. One very useful way is to (at least on a mac) command/click the layer to make a selection of it. For example, if you have a layer with a black circle on it, you can control click the layer in the layers window and get a selection of that circle.

Makes sense? =D

The text is leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. Maybe something no so flat to the eye.
