Right now, I will recommend Freakonomics by Stephen Levitt. Because it's the most mind boggling book I've ever read. Good lord it's fantastic.
But, I'm not reading that right now. I'm reading this book:

It's okay. Not the best book I've read though. I will say, however, that it's supposed to be very related to that one epic poem about the Trojan war, so... I'm reading it to get knowledge of the subject outside of the movie Troy.
It's just so slow. I'm already 150 pages in and Paris has only been mentioned once. And Achilles has only shown up as a small child.
Talk about lame. I hope it picks up later.

I am reading Caesar: Life of a Colossus. So far it is an interesting piece. I've always like books about historic figures.

Hmm I haven't read anything lately but I've been meaning to read Twilight. I'll probably start it when my break finally starts.
A series that I would strongly recommend are the Bloody Jack books. Right now four of the books are out and the fifth one is supposed to come out later this year. The series is fantastic! From the moment I picked up the first one I wasn't able to stop reading xd .

I'm currently reading Les Miserables... again mrgreen A convicted man trying to redeem himself in a Revolution-torn France whilst pursued by a relentless (and strangely appealing heart ) police inspector. *adict*

The most recent books I've read have been All Quiet on the Western Front, Johnny Got His Gun (a re-read, because it's great), and Battle Royale. Next.. I finally want to read Upton Sinclair's The Jungle.. and some others. Their names escape me at the moment.

I recommend wuthering heights by emily bronte and snack theif by andrea camilleri. the latter is quite a serious story but it is a classic and the former is a funny crime story. both with ebil remarks and actions included... I enjoy those kinds of books so much! xd

I wish I had more time for books!! I have a bunch of Work In Progress ones.
I'm embarassed to say, but I've NEVER read Harry Potter... nor have I seen the movies (*avoids rain of random thrown items*) I got the first book for my birthday, and have just been dabbling at it when I get a little time. It's really good though!
I've also started *The Tale of Genji*. It's also a book I received as a gift. I'm really not far enough into it to be able to describe it (the book is Mad thick =) ) but so far so good.
Annnnnd... the last one is kinda for fun, because I like authors who have a little bit of smart-a** in their style. It's called *Stupid and Contagious*. =P
The book I really recommend is *Violin*, by Anne Rice. She was the author of the Vampire Chronicles (or maybe the one that would be the most well-known is *Interview with the Vampire*.) The woman is a GENIUS.

My attention span is too short for books. I try, honest. But half the time I can never be bothered to pick one up.
I've been reading the same book for well over a year now. The whole Narnia series. ><
