I don't do this, but I got bored and wrote about the power of the elements.
This sun is too bright, for those sun burned to fight. This wind is too cold, it pushes back the hungry and old. This water is too heavy, it drowns those behind the levee.
This sand is all around, and now my friend wont be found. This man is all too strong, but even he wont last long. We aren't in control yet, the world wont let us forget.
The ground will crack, the earth will shake. The roads will break, The buildings will fall and crush us all.

[Ashes][is][Ashes] -Isel- It's actually very simple, but it works. AABBCCDDEEFFGHHII. Mostly couplets. I love rhyme schemes, but I honestly hate couplets. I prefer ABABCDCDEE. Something along those lines. Mine are usually odd.
I have a song that is ABAA BB CDCC DD EFEFGHGH IJII JJ etc.

Something along those lines. I usually write free-verse, haiku/renku, or welsh poetry. the ryme scheme in this poem works, though.
