I would like to know others thoughts on the way that some ppl act towards wicca, mostly christians. I think ThatI get the most criticism from the Christian comunity(even my own relatives seem to hate me), But I want to be able to get you to see where I'm comming from. If your not open to listen please dont post.

I actually find that wicca is way more thought out than Christianity. The whole concept behind it has more layers than Christianity. By this I mean; you could sum up Christianity in a sentence or at most a paragraph, but you couldn't do the same with wicca. There is more symbolism and more spiritualness (made up words are fun) in wicca than Christianity. Personally, I really can't stand the religion and especially the people who push it. But if you think the way Christianity treats Wicca is wrong, just look at the way Christianity has treated almost everyone throughout history. It is out to rule the world.

Well, seeing how all religions are mythologies, they have similarities, as all religions do. I myself am Agnostic, and for those who don't know what that is it means I believe there is a god-like entity, nothing more, nothing less. And as far as Wicca goes, there's nothing bad about it, a lot of my friends are Wiccan.

Well, from a Catholic's perspective, I do not agree with the beliefs of Wiccans at all, however, I don't go around, calling them names, or beating them up. And I also think movies about Witches are cool. In fact, one of my favorite TV shows is Charmed, and I love Hocus Pocus, Harry Potter, Halloweentown, etc. I just don't agree with worshiping any other gods than my God. Also, I find the Salem Witch Trials a fascinating time in history.

And as far as Wicca goes, there's nothing bad about it, a lot of my friends are Wiccan. I laugh, I love, I hope, I try, I hurt, I need, I fear, I cry. I see agnosticism as the belief that there's no real way to prove there is a God, but there's also no way to prove there's not a God. Religious neutrality, basically.
As for this thread itself, nothing I say is really going to have any impact, since I've never done any research on Wicca, and I haven't done enough on Christianity to really form a well-educated opinion. gonk And I know you do the same things, too. So we're really not that different, me and you.

Hmm, Wicca is pagan, since pagan is, by definition, non-Christian.
Christianity isn't out to rule the world. It was used to manipulate the masses into supporting military conquests. This resulted from the legalization and adoption of Christianity as the official religion of Rome by Constantine. Many theologians argue that this was the worst thing to happen to Christianity. If it hadn't of happened, who knows, it may not have been in existence today. Sigh
My biggest problem with Wiccans is that many of them, and by many I mean every one that I've ever met, are mainstream Wiccans. What I mean is that they know very little of the nature-based religions that it is based off. Many join because of a fascination with witchcraft or a strong spiritual attachment to nature--not because of any real belief. Witchcraft is really only considered such in modern Wicca. All ancient religions had customs and practices that today would be considered witchcraft. Originally, however, it was much more of a way to interact with nature, than to manipulate anything (besides chance, of course).
Anyway, I'm an agnostic as well. Just to clarify, you can be atheist and agnostic. You can also be apathetic and agnostic. I'm neither. I don't have a religion, because I think superstitions and misleading rituals are ticks of society. I am, however, very philosophical.

I am atheist and proud of it and personally I don't think any religion is correct because basically no religion can disprove any other gods without having the exact same sentence used again to disprove theres. I am in no way saying being religious is a bad thing or that you should not have a higher power to believe in I just don't think that there is some higher power who will smite you if you piss him/her/it off

They're both sexed up fairy tales confused
I'm not bothered about which sky pixie you follow, how many sky pixies you believe in, how your chosen sky pixie created the world nor your sky pixies' views on morality, all religions are just plaigerisms of other religions, and should be treated equally.

I am Mormon, LDS, whatever you want to call me. And before I say anymore, yes we do believe in God and Jesus, and no, we do not worship Joseph Smith. Anyways, my dear friend believes in Wicca. I have nothing against her religion, therefore she doesn't believe or have anything against my religion. Like Tellev said: Tellev I see agnosticism as the belief that there's no real way to prove there is a God, but there's also no way to prove there's not a God. Religious neutrality, basically. I can't tell God is there, but I believe he is and I believe that he will always be there for me, this religion is what I believe is right. My friend, believes that Wicca is where she belongs.

i find that u should be able to beleive what YOU want to believe wether its christiant, wicca, or no religion at all((GO ATHEISM)i am athiest if u havent guessed)). also i beleive that ppl that hate wicca need to look into there own history. ur ancestor came here on a boat (mostly) to be able to beleive in any religion he/she wanted.. and here you are briing down a nother religion. so i say SHAME ON THEM. i think that ppl that practice wicca have the right to believ in whatever they want(as long as they dont sacrifice animals or anything which i am sure they dont i just dont know the FULL details of wicca).

I have no particular issue with the religon at all, and I've never really met anyone who does. Every Wiccan I've met, though, hasn't helped my opinion of it in any way at all. >> The only ones I've ever known were following the religon purely because they wanted to be 'different'. Doing anything at all purely because you want to be 'different' rubs me wrong, so for those people who choose to do that... Let's just say I'm not a fan.
The religon itself, however, I don't have any particular issue with. I don't agree with it, seeing as I'm Catholic and that's the religon I agree with (for the most part), but that doesn't mean I dislike anyone purely for their choice to follow the Wicca religon.

In my own opinion, you can't say "Christianity hates Wiccans", since the religions themselves are concepts that are the way people believe that the world was started, made up of, and will end. It is more accurate to say that "Some people in the Christian religion disagree with people in the Wiccan religion". The main reason behind the disagreement, I'd say, is the fact that the religions are so different, that you can't lay them side by side, however some people try to. Therefore, they make inaccurate judgements on it. For example: Wiccan religion is very magical and considered to be a variety of witchcraft. In Christian religion, magical occurances (or "miracles") were either performed by God or the Devil (or their followers). To the Christians, who saw gatherings in the forest at night, say, to worship the moon, they saw that as worshipping the devil. Whereas, Wiccans would not have that idea at all.
