So I saw this commercial today that said 8 out of 10 Americans said they would pick up a penny on the ground. And I was surprised by that, because I personally, wouldn't. A penny isn't enough to get me to stop and pick it up. But what about you? Would you do it?
And for all you non-Americans, please tell me the smallest coin you use, and whether or not you would pick it up. Sorry, but I don't know foreign currency off the top of my head. sweatdrop

Yeah, I pick up pennies~ I don't see a reason why not. It's free money, and it's not like I'm too busy to pick it up.
The only reason I'd refuse to pick one up is if it looked really, really dirty.

When I'm in Canada, I use pennies. When I'm in America, I use pennies. ><

I don't pick up pennies... I hang around at bars while my mom works/hangs out, and scour around for all the money the drunk people drop =D
Counting the 20 in Alvin's Island I've probably totaled somewhere in the 200's >.>;

I did that at my work for a year(convenience store) and at the end of the night (or my shift), I'd take whatever pennies/silver coins(I snatch them up as soon as they're left there. xD) people left in the give-a-penny-take-a-penny dish.
I made quite a bit. $70 or so, I think.

I'd only pick up a penny if it was Canadian (I'm in the US), because for some reason they amuse me...
But other than that, I usually only pick up quarters.
