O HAY.
I'm leaving to go out of town tomorrow, and won't be back for two weeks. Guess what one of the places I'm going to is?
The beach! cool
A beach along North Carolina's coast, to be specific. :3 Its not the only place we're going to when my family and I leave tomorrow, but its one of the places, and definitely one of the most exciting. biggrin DD
Ahh... beaches. Its been awhile. Its so relaxing to go sunbathing so you can get a tan, listen the waves... how relaxing!
Or maybe you don't like to rest, but not swim either... you just like playing beach volleyball in the sand, or build sand castles, (Despite popular belief, you're never too old to build sand castles! ;D) or search for pretty seashells.
And then of course, there's the swimming. Nice, salty, salt water... how salty and wet! xD
And... do we have any surfers or windsurfers here? :0
As for me, I mostly like swimming at beaches. This is probably 'cause I'm also on a swim team. xD;; Though, the salt water especially bothers my throat and eyes, so I don't go underwater much at the beach.
BUT.
Beaches aren't just all fun and play... *cues menacingly evil and creepy voice* >D
Icky slippery sunscreen!
Stinging sunburns!
Scorching hot sand!
And worst of all...
EVIL JELLYFISH. mad
When I was four years old at the same North Carolina beach that my family and I will be going to soon, I was sitting at the edge of the waters, where the waves would wash up on the sand. I was just sitting there, and then as the waves washed up over my legs, it happened.
I got stung by a jellyfish. gonk
I tell you, it HURTS LIKE HECK. I was crying so hard. There were two long black scars on my leg. Ugh... *shudders* I can't believe how much pain I was in. I've absolutely hated jellyfish ever since. D;
Anyways...

I love the beach, but I don't have many interesting stories.
My friend and I went crab hunting on the beach, we both went to pick up the same crab and we banged out heads together. Funny, yet painful.
We also caught a cute little orange seahorse. <3

Lauz I love the beach, but I don't have many interesting stories. My friend and I went crab hunting on the beach, we both went to pick up the same crab and we banged out heads together. Funny, yet painful. We also caught a cute little orange seahorse. <3

The other day my cousin was telling me about how a seagull attacked her & stole her sandwich. xd

ehh i stepped on a jellyfish once and then while playing in the water (reached above my waist ;dont kno y i got in soo deeep o.0)the whooosh the wind blew and i almost floated away untill cousin saved me.ahhh.this happened wen i was preetty small.xD

...You don't happen to have any picture of it, do you...? xD;; <3No pictures unfortunately. We didn't keep it long, and we let it go after we showed everyone but nobody had a camera on them. She has a ferry like boat, and so we were going around islands and hopping off the top of the boat and playing around in the water when we came across it. She's a big scuba diving person, I didn't know how, so I had the snorkel, she had the full equipment XP

But yeah... my parent's have told me that one time when I was pretty young, I was eating a french fry and a seagull flew down and took it right from out of my hand. I don't remember this, though. xD

The last time I went to the beach...well, we ATTEMPTED to go to the beach...who knew that a town called Long Beach has piers, harbors...but no beach? sweatdrop
But there was a time that I went to the beach in August, and it was the time the Moon Jellyfish were coming ashore, and one kid buried one under the sand, while all the other kids were waging war against the jellies xD Relax...

One time I was at the beach and one of my friends decided he would try and throw seaweed at people, so he reached down and grabbed onto something "slimy" And he pulled up a little stingray hahaha. It wasn't by the tail though it was like from the side. It was really gross though.

I was walking to go home with a friend of mine and we were eating ice cream we just bought when I seagull rammed into her cone xD
It fell on the sand and all of a sudden 10 seagulls were fighting over it Dx Traumatizing xD We went and bought another one for her cool It was damn funny though.

I live in Maine, pretty near the beach so I can go there a lot.
You can't swim in the beaches in Maine though D': Too cold.
Too cold for jellyfish, at least. xd That's the good part.
At the beach, I usually sun bathe. Or just walk around.
Or do something my dad taught me how to do, play WAVE TAG! >:3
Where you get as close to the water as you can, and run away as soon as it gets close.
Fun it is. whee

the beach is okay, i am actually kind of scared of the ocean though. don't know why really, just deep water and sharks. sweatdrop
i have only been to the pacific ocean though [like 5 times?], and one time when visiting texas i went to the gulf of mexico, but never the atlantic or other oceans.
what i usually do is boogie board, or just try to body surf.
i like the lake near my house better then the ocean, no sharks.
thank god i don't live near the ocean haha whee
