I can't believe I'm making a thread of this...
but I'm curious.
What are your views of both the old and new series?
Favorite characters/monsters and why?
how far are you into the series?
have you ever played the card game?

By the second one you mean Yu-Hi-Oh GX?
Then I like the first one better, and the second one better with plot.
But I haven't seen the full series of either one.

Lol, I was a total Yu-Gi-Oh follower back in the days heart . My favorite character was 100% Seto Kaiba. I really hate this new GX thing, I saw one episode and I was disgusted.
I've seen the whole series...unless there is more? After Yami goes back to Egypt.... Is there more?
I have the games for ds and gba. ><" Finished them all <3 Though the duels are nothing compared to the ones on the tv show.
I've personally never tried playing the card game ...I was more of a pokemon/magic kindof person.

The first one I found repetitive and a bit creepy.
though I admit I wanted The Winged Dragon of Ra for myself.
I have played the game, using a harpies deck and a dragon deck. I wasn't very good but I tried.
second series definitely has more plot. I'm watching ep. 146 as I type.
poor Jaden...
I liked zane until he lost his head and went 'underworld'.

1st season all the way, i was the best TCG master all the way to the seventh grade, then someone finally beat me! i had the ultimate deck too, until GX came out and all my cards could be countered by the newer ones, stupid Monster-noobs, they dont even know the rules and yet they think they can construct a deck?! Psh..

I used to love Marik and the white haired guy. They were pretty badass cool rofl

They were pretty badass cool rofl ah, the psychos with pale hair. you mean bakura and marik. I felt so sorry for ryou, it made me cry when he got hurt. rain: I played while in high school against sophomores and juniors, and I was a senior. xd

Bakura that's the name xD Yeah he was great.
I think my fave parts of the show was when they had that tournament and they had the finals in Kaiba's Blimp/Plane thing. xD Bakura was crazy in there. >3

Personally, I like the first series. It was actually interesting. The new series with what's-his-face sucks. He's a Gary-Lu, end of story.
However, I despise the English version, Japanese with subtitles for me, thank you.
Favorite monster is mostly the BEWD, but anything dragon will work for me.
Seto Kaiba = Awesome. 3nodding

I perfer the 1 ones.
But after a while the storyline got worst.
Its like pokemon.
Really people should not countinue with a series for so long.

I was like a hardcore Yu-Gi-Oh fan back a couple years ago.
Kaiba was my ********, card-dealing, strange trench coat wearing favorite.
I always wanted a jacket like his. . .
The GX just made me want to write a complaint letter. I mean, half the characters looked just like the original cast only younger. And they were all stupid.

I like both actually. Though, That's only because I have a favorite from each one. Yami Yugi (Atemu) And Bakura. While from GX I like Jaden and Aster Phoenix.
But yeah, Yugioh was better than GX. I only watch GX for Jaden and Aster, and a little bit of Zane.
